I finally got to watch this video! I had put it on my Watch Later list, but I've been so busy that I didn't have time to get to it. Glad I could get to it now because it's simply an amazing display piece. Really impressed with your attention to detail in the paint job. The handle and leather are perfectly weathered. It feels like you pinched this prop right from Weta Workshop! :D Great job.
The main texture IS just hammered on with a ball peen hammer. If you give it a try just watch out cause it will start to reshape the blade giving it a bend, which you'll have to fix (I did by sanding it straight again). The later texture was the stippled paint

How long will the kits be avaliable? I'm broke and trying to save up for my cosplay but it will be time before I am able to get enough to get the kit anytime soon.
Hi, at present I have 2 kits left, and these will be the last 2. Honestly, they're the last because they haven't sold too quickly, so you may still find them on my shop down the line :)

I know, but the official name for the sword in the franchise is a scimitar 🤷♂️
