I completely understand that y'all think it's unrealistic as actual players, but the point of the anime is to exaggerate things so that people who don't really know sports could also find it cool and amusing, I myself became a fan of basketball as a sport because of this anime. It taught me some terms I didn't know and made it fun, I recommend just ignoring logic when you watch this

I'm having the same journey with learning about real-world teams and players now because of KuroBas.
Cool and amusing in sports anime doesn't really mean you have to go way out of the line of reality, just look at Haikyuu and how fire that anime is despite being so grounded to reality. I couldn't really take this anime seriously due to how ridiculous the "power ups" the players have, it's like basketball but dbz.

usually it's only rob that's frustrating during reactions but for some reason for this series there are more ppl that constantly get the digs in about shit being "unreal" and what not. y'all are watching highschool baseballers pulling shounen anime fight moves so i'm not sure what kind of realness you are expecting. this isn't like haikyuu where it's within the boundaries of believable sports moves. knb never pretended to be realistic. the whole base is a group of middle to high schoolers with unrealistic powers. the main guy is literally an "invisible" player who vanishes from plain sight. knb is an unrealistic sports series because it's as much in the shounen genre as it is in sports. you guys have to let go of thinking it's a realistic sports series because it never was and in the future it'll continue to not be.
These dudes play ball a lot. A lot of basketball players dont like this anime because they think its stupid and waaaaayyyy to overexaggerated (which it is) lol.
but they still watching it so that must mean they like it
Seriously. Imagine watching DBZ and complaining about the energy beams and teleporting cuz it's not realistic, this is about the same clown shit. It's not trying to be real, its trying to entertain but so many anime watchers have this attitude

Cuz jerry dislikes characters with overwhelming confidence and wellz likes those kinds of people.
Ikr like when I watched this anime years back I didn’t hate on any of the characters (besides a few). I liked them all because they were all very dynamic, they make Aomine seem like he’s one dimensional when he’s not but they don’t know that yet I guess.
They have the habit of stanning only one character and hating on the rest, but they're hating on a whole new level for this anime (minus Rob, surprisingly). In particular, Pat is especially irritating and is transcending Rob-level of hate.
