We have fooled with electric vehicles in the past, they were a joke then and nothing has changed!
I must say - they are incredible cars - but if the buy in is above 50 grand - that is not a reality. Again the Brandon Administration didn't set the playfield in making affordability first - no - he just hurt ya at the pump and then doubled your food bill.
I have been in a Tesla for a test drive - amazing cars - but somewhere along the line everyone thinks electricity grows on trees. If Elon put solar optic coatings on his cars - which can be done - it be at least a $120,000 car. Solar is the future - but I don't need it crammed down my throat and have to chock on it in my budget!

I really wonder why no one talks about the millions of families that RENT. I know my landlord is not even considering putting in charging stations. The apartment I am in is very old and honestly I do not think its even possible to put in a charging station.
I also wonder my last apartment the electric was included in the rent- how would that work? Landlord charge 2x the rent?
Stats show some 34% of American's do rent and that is a massive amount of people that probably do NOT have a way to get a charging station where they live.

The interior alone - even on electric cars - the carpet - the dash - certainly petroleum is involved. Good point. So "being green" is just a saying - and a lie! Although I must say - nothing like a drive in Tesla - wealthy relatives. I would need three jobs for one - but electricity doesn't grow on trees either. Coal burning power plants still exist...and so what gives to being GREEN?
We can put all the Democrats to work mining for cobalt with a pick and shovel . It takes a lot of petroleum products to run a mining project .

How the Biden Administration thinks that the average wage earner can afford to pay 25 percent or more of their annual salary to buy an electric car that they won’t even be able to receive with a waiting list for those cars. Then and on higher insurance rates, money to install charging stations. Also where in the cities are you going to instal charging stations in apartment complexes. How are you going to bill the right owners and maintain the stations. There is no way America is ready to change over to electric vehicles for at least the next 10 to 20 years. The infrastructure, raw materials, and technology is not in place yet. Ok say it needs to be done then make a viable plan to do it. Like the moon landing set a 20 year time table and invest in the technology and raw materials to accomplish the mission. We’re not there now. The climate control activist know this and don’t care how many lives and businesses they ruin to get what they want.

The national average for air conditiong in the U.S. is 17 % or the electric bill. Charging a car at home is 25 times more the cost of electricity by charging your electric car at home. This is without government subsidies and this fact comes from the government. If a persons electric bill costs $100.00/month, can anyone afford $508.00/month? What is "the new grid" going to cost us? Can you say permanent Brown Out?

Ironically, the best time to have pushed for this electric vehicle plan would have been when Trump was President. The economy was doing very well, there was energy independence, and people were more confident in the future. A lot of multi-car families trade in one vehicle every couple of years, or lease and then try something new at the end, and people would have been WAY more open to giving EV's a try. When the inflation rate is 9.1%, the prices of everything are skyrocketing, and a great many families are having troubles making ends meet, this is not the time to be encouraging the middle class to invest sixty to eighty thousand dollars on technology that is still in the early roll out stage.
You CAN have your cake and eat it too.

Rewire all high power lines or add new ones batteries are dangerous how you going to make it through the night?)??
