I bought the exact same package for my jewelry store. It arrives Monday. Thanks for all the info on various settings, can’t wait for the video in the other items
How do you know what settings to use? Are they preprogrammed or do you have to set everything? I have a Glowforge Pro and it has settings built in. I've tweaked them at times but not knowledgeable enough to create them from scratch.
what program do you use for the vector program? Would love to see how you got the right dimensions of the knife - also how do you know where to put it on the laserpecker software to know itll engrave perfectly?
I usually trace the handles and the blade in either Lightburn or Adobe Illustrator. I go into it more on this video ruclips.net/video/4_Qh1hiY2w0/видео.html For placement, the LP5 can give you an an exact outline of the design you're going to engrave if you turn gcode mode on in the settings.
@@MakeTechCreate where is gcode mode? on the phone app? if so, for whatever reason... i get the LP5 to connect to the wifi and then it wont connect to my phone. only connects on the computer. I appreciate your responses!
Can you engrave the surface that it’s sitting on like the older laserpeckers? I don’t see a pass through on its baseplate. I’m wondering if you could sit it on a big table to engrave something onto it.
Please PLEASE put a clock next to the video sections that you speed up. It is a real issues when you are evaluating a unit's speed when you are considering adding it into your workshop for production work.
Do you have a video on how to do the vector outlines that you used for the knife blade and handle in this video? More specifically the outline preview. I have tried doing this but my outline is still a rectangle instead of the vector shape.
Thanks for the information good job. But let me say. Way way ................... overpriced. 3000.00 dolers? Are you kidding me? It is only 20 watt. One can get an OMTech 50W Fiber Laser Engraver for that same price twice the power. Laserpecker and xTool F1 Ultra 20W Fiber are just way overpriced. Most will never make up what you spend on these overpriced tools.
Well, it really depends on your needs. What you're paying for here is a dual laser in portable packaging. If all you need is a stand-alone fiber laser that doesn't need to be moved, a traditional fiber laser unit would probably be a better option for you.

Really depends on your needs. For example Fibre lasers will not do wood. Blue laser does. Blue laser will work with wood.. but not metal. Cost up 2 units a blue and a fibre. And then ask the question.
You can check out my review of the rotary and slide extensions here ruclips.net/video/7yQP9geE0VY/видео.html
This video is masterfully done. Thank you so much!
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!
Really great to hear all the settings, super helpful.

The software does of material presets built in, and there is a settings chart for different materials on their website.
It would be handy if you said how long each job took in the video.
Thanks for the tip

Nice work

No, but the head does tilt 90⁰, so you could engrave on the side of objects vertically.
Yes you can. You just unscrew the unit from the lift and just use ir.
The fan cover should be the right height.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll do that for future videos.

You need to enable gcode in the settings before it will give you the preview.
The inner child in my snickers every time you say this name....

In fairness it also comes with a rotary attachment and a motorized extension tray.
