You;ve had a cracking year of reading... I'm now about 400 pages into Howling Dark and it is bit slow, definitely slower than the first one for me..more of a slog to get through so far... it started great... overall still enjoying it and excited to see how it gets to where it's going.
Just wanted to say your channel got me back in to fantasy. My favourite series this year has been the Mistborn series. I have only just started reading The Blade Itself which is great so far.
@@SpacedOutWizard I love the presentation and the character voice so much. I’m reading it slowly as it’s a partner read with my lady. But I am enthralled with the worldbuilding so far
100% need to check out Dark Matter by Black Crouch… one of my all time favs is the Ender Saga by Orson Scott Card; just started Assassin’s Apprentice so, looking forward to finishing that! I also put a good few of these on my reading list. Thanks for your content!
@@SpacedOutWizard I literally read Dark Matter in one day because it was just so captivating in the writing and the POV switching… Ender’s Game and the proceeding books are a slow burn at first but, I have literally cried at some of the material since Card gives some of the characters so much emotion, and the twists! Love them dearly. The movie does not do the book justice.
Empire of the Vampire is easily my favorite book/series as well! I haven’t read Suneater yet, but based on how similar our tastes seem to be, it just got bumped up my TBR 🤘

First law era 1 will always be my favorite but the second era infuriated me. It doesn't have a ending. Honestly, the character arcs don't wrap up neatly, and everything is again left open ended. I mean it's a trilogy so we should get some kind of resolution even if the author wants to continue the story.
