You never know when you're living in the good old days, so it's important to cherish every moment. This game, and each one of you, has been a source of inspiration for me throughout my journey. To be a part of this community of Legendary Duelists is one of the greatest honors of my life. And I truly believe that right now, more than ever, is the greatest time to be a Duelist.
Duelists never miss! -Undead

Yo IT YTDAN!!!
@@YTDan we nva miss
what's so good about being a duelist right now? the game's a glorified solitaire on master duel and its heading that way on duel links
When skills are about boosting LP, adding cards in your hand, balancing your card draw rate, adding bonus cards in your deck and Ex deck. Now the skills are about summoning monsters outside your deck....
Skills might as well read "get full combo every game" now adays
Man tell me about it if you can’t run the engine without a skill where’s the competency of your deck
Still remember the sonic boom when watching gunsblazing
Me too
That was peak duel links.
It took me so long to figure out where the song was from😂
I immediately read "Sonic Bird" lol
I too miss Buns glazing
Damn those days where D Draw used to be broken
Yeah when drawing the right card is more important than your skill guaranteeing your plays for you
@@steveshin820 thats for sure 😁
God i miss running kiteroid and battleboxers just to trigger D draw lol
The fact you could play around it or hit him for 2k because you were that confident about winning, made it such a good skill for the game. Now it’s just press a button and let my skill play the game for me
The best part is that while it was a crazy powerful skill there was still a chance it wouldn't save you because we didnt have 1 card board wipes outside of "The Creator skill". The opponent could outplay you, the game runs long and the skill didnt trigger so your resources was long spent.
But when you got it off? It felt like an anime moment EVERY TIME. And that was the best thing about DL. So many people complained about how it was "baby yugioh" but it did what it did best - emulate the anime. Now we wishing for it to go back to how it was. Smh
I wish they would make the legacy duel format a permanent thing. It’s so hard to get into it now I still play but it’s nothing like it used to be.
Adding a permanent legacy duel format/game mode would be so awesome. (Way better than rush) Could also have different events based on GX, 5Ds, zexal on a rotation. Or just rotate the format between the cardlists from each year of duel links.
@@Aurelynit's gonna be end end situation too. Players would be hunting for old cards from each era too if they rotate
Legacy also have problem , konami really don't think at balancing this format when they throw at you modern toon or ra deck at your face.
Legacy with no skills would be cool
20-30 main & extra 9
Shady Penguin, Dkayed, YT Dan and Guns were my favorites to watch during the early era of duel links. I miss those days 😔
Shady was my favorite of them all. His videos were just so fun
still remember when he pulled prismatic DMoC, what a moment
NO WATT007?!
@@frankaxe6700 might come back if Misty Tredwell ever get introduced into duel links as an unlockable character.
@frankaxe6700 he's cool it's just I didn't watch him that much back then
Old duel links offered THE perfect gateway into yugioh at the time. I got to play with simple dumb cards in a learning environment and build goofy decks that popped up in my head and take them to rank and squeeze a couple wins. Now duel links is, in my honest opinion, vegan Master Duel, just infinitely harder to build decks in because have fun pulling 3 of that mainbox UR buddy.
I remember when Blue-Eyes players were using The White Stone of Ancients and Cards of Consonance, and how deck was balanced back then.
My greatest achievement in duel links was creating a flower cardian deck I labbed with for so many countless hours until I perfected the decklist. I hit KOG with it and even got playmaker to make a video about it. I’ll probably never have this feeling again but I’m glad the fruits of my labor will live on in playmaker’s channel
Ooo which vid is it can you send the link or title please
So did I
Dkayed transitioned to Master Duel format. Dkayed said people preferred that content compared to Duel Links. Shady has a family now so Pokemon became his main (consistent) form of content and Duel Links is expensive to keep up with the meta and new archetype releases. Many others swapped to other games completely due to a change in interests. Still love duel links and still play today except now I use gems solely to obtain cards.
I remember when I finally got to play Cyber Dragons in the DSOD era. It was my deck, and I put a lot of gems into it. I played it for 4 KC cups because it was so damn reliable as a rank up method. The duels were quick, simple, and I could get my four wins in no time. Zane was also my favorite duelist back then.
I remember back when I first played the game, when Six Samurai was still meta, Shi En and all. I remember back then when a spell negate was the most infuriating thing ever. Good times.
There was also the Zexal Era, with Onomatopoeia as the dominant skill. Ditch 2 of your worst cards, and literally get any 2 of your other cards (of your choice I might add) for free. And you could do that twice. It was enough to be tier 0. It was such an absurd archetypal skill back then.
That starting montage gave me goosebumps
tears in my eyes
im really happy to hear it man -undead
Who would've guessed that having a low power creep and a more simple environment makes the game fun? Certainly not Konami
This shows how little you understand about how the meta game works.

Yeah current duel links is fucking terrible. There's a reason I was drawn to duel links, it reminded me of the old game.
meet powercreep, it was inventible to screw up the game just as it has to the real card game and MD.
The formats they give MD and DL are inexcusable, its a **ONLINE GAME** where you can literally make a gamemode for insert set/year down or tag duels. instead: Nope lets be a p2w simulator gacha!
Yeah now it's those friking skills that are broken, I want to have fun with Ra but with so many disruptions now it's almost impossible. The thing I liked is that I could go to master duel to shoot myself in the head, and duel links to chill. Not anymore
@@minibullusa Yeah, the skills are just too much. They completely dictate the pace of the game, the meta, and what cards are strong or weak. It's not fun to use, it's not fun to fight against. Skills back in the day usually just gave you a minor buff or made some kind of rogue stuff useful, like guaranteeing coin flips or something. Not guaranteeing your entire combo if you draw a single piece.
I quit the game a few months ago, best decision of my life. Not only im learning actual yugioh more closely with MD, all the time i used to spend on dailies and grinding im learning photoshop and modding, playing older games, watching more anime.
I recommend everyone who feels frustrated with DL, just quit.
I quit for the same reason. The grind is never worth it, just a waste of life and time tbh
YESSSIIIIRRR underrated RUclipsr back at it again. The opening montage was goosebumps my guy.
This is exactly what I was talking about with my comment on your last video too.
We don't need skills that read like an essay with requirements that your deck "ONLY CONTAINS " we need generic skills that only slightly balances the deck out.
The fact that we were using strats and cards that the TCG meta circuit never even touched was amazing. Battle centric duels that you win by the skin of your teeth, a few hundred points difference in attack or life points. Top decking your win con or out. This was what made the game feel great and put you in the spot of the anime protags.
But when you have to go and make Archetypal skills just for these decks that were underpowered in the TCG to be good in Duel Links means that you failed because you messed up the Card Pool Ecosystem so badly that, where they would of thrived in Duel Links with generic skills, they stay underpowered in a game thats already low power level is CRAZY.
And unfortunately no matter how much we wish it, the skill system wont get a reboot because they literally just redid a ton of them a few weeks ago and threw them in the Card Trader for pennies. Real bruh moment.
YTDan, Wat007, Bakura, Dkayed and THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND: *Gunsblazing!*
Man those were the days...
But of course, modern duel links wouldn't be what it is without you Team 6k!
We appreciate that bro!!! -undead
Man that sonic boom intro brings a lot of nostalgia in me, my favorite format and fun memories in this game are Ancient gear meta, Microwave links, six samurai meta, desperado meta, Amazoness meta, bamboo otk, mill and burn deck, dkayed and gunsblazing rivalry, cyberstein meta, grass decks
theres actually an insane amount of diversity in duel links these days and its been that way for a couple years, except for a couple formats here and there -undead
I stopped playing duel links very early after the Zexal expansion was dropped. I always enjoyed the fact that you get to play as the characters from the original animes and even build decks around them, but over time certain characters would either be stuck behind events or never be brought again, making it impossible to get them under your belt unless you’re quick enough.
Not only that, it was hard to keep up with everybody else when the power creep meta started to become more relevant, to the point where it started to suffer with the same problem the original card game had: “build your field and beat your opponent in one turn”.
Nowadays I much preferred to play the old console games in order to go back to that similar retro experience.
its always been that all characters have 2 events and then they are permanently added to the gate -undead
Legacy of duelist slapped 😂😂
I gave up on YGO, way back in 09. I've got everything I wanted from the TCG and anime. Duel links revived my interest around COVID (2020 kinda).
Seeing all the new stuff that has been going on in the game was mind blowing (the mechanics, new cards, anime, etc.)
When duel links is gone forever, it might also be my last YGO journey
Mixed feelings, i dotn miss playing against invoked 10 games in a row, but i miss joey last gamble skill
In franse there was a duel link tournament. The final was a joey player. He had 400 lp, no card in hand or field while opponent had 3 monsters and everybody thought it was over.
Then he drew his last card, time wizzard, won the roll and won the duel. It was so insane the twitch chat lost their mind
Tbh, I only play duel links for rush duels now. It is such a fun format.
I do appreciate them adding the Rush format though. It's a lot more simple, and doesn't have the archetype problem. Though they did add the Maximum Summoning cards some time ago... So the power creep is getting there
Oh man, this hits differently. I have been playing DL since 2018 and I'm still playing it today. I remember hitting KOG every season with various decks, because most of them were so simple and easy to learn. But, after the Vrains expansion and addition of link monsters, I struggled to hit KOG and then I wasn't able to get there at all and I haven't been there for more than 1.5 years now. All of the new cards with tons of text, all sorts of graveyard effects, long combos, hand traps and all of that... I just couldn't keep up anymore. So I gave up. Nowadays I'm happy if I can get to Legend 1. That's also the main reason why I don't play the TCG anymore.
Rush Duel saved the game for me, I have been playing it since it was added and I have been able to get KOG there every season so far and I'm having fun with it.
I starter playing when they had just added the zexal world and it was so fun. I never hit kog but I always got close like around leg 4-5, which kept me going but after vrains i have trouble already at leg 1. Links ruined the game for me
@@capo_6Zexal was soooo fireee
The old duel links 😮💨 I was a sophomore in highschool
Things started to change at sylvans and absolutely changed with fur hire
Before that, it was heaven
I would argue it was fun (excluding tier 0 formats) until the absolute c*nt that is Cocytus got released and the game never recovered.
@@randomname9723 It was still fun even after fur hire, but less fun compare to before as we started to special summoning more often, overwhelming opponent, and make the duels one sided.
Basically it happened when we started to play real archetypes with real strategy lol.
I always liked the idea of a legacy duel format or no skill format alongside pvp and casual duels. But for some reason people get super triggered at the suggestion and tell you to either quit or play md. Like no, some of these skills are way out of hand and yall in denial.
I wish I played duel links when it was released tbh so I could have played ritual format lol xD
2016-2018 Duel Links was Goated
The days when you actually had to be creative with deck building and really bringing the full potential with skills out. Now the skills play the game for you
Creative? Dino beatdon? "Skills didnt matter? Kaiba corp bling. This era you talk abouy never happened
@@ubadman1 🧢 you didn’t watch the video then. He showcased about 30 different decks
You basically just summed up all my thoughts over the years. From the power creep part, to how skills are carrying decks, and much more. Like, I couldn't find a good way to explain my thoughts and you just did it perfectly!
In the recent PVP duels, I dueled a lot of people, and I prepared some really good trap cards to counter their strategies, all the sudden they activate broken "Skills" in order to make my strategies meaningless, completely souring my experiences and brought me a lot of frustrattions, it immediately became cancerous to the point where I had to take a break from the PVP duels all together.
Slap your biggest beater for free like its duelist kingdom, pop skill to put a toxic card in your hand for free, unbrick your hand with character skill and unbanned consistency cards (Melody). Character skills are getting incredibly nasty.
we aint gonna pretend the skill system was ever gonna lead to good things, right? It was manageable back then though and didnt break the fun of the already short-duels that were already more abusable to older strats in yugioh. Some not even breakable via the smaller board size and lesser deck capacity and list.
Yeah I hate skill that allowed to free summon monster at field and suddenly add specific card at the hand
I feel the same way, I really miss the RUclipsrs who switched to Master Duel or moved on. Dkayed was especially fun to watch. I get why he plays Master Duel now, but I wish he’d play Duel Links occasionally 🙂
Its really important to remember all those things we find good. You dont know if things are going to change quickly but you know it wont be permanent. Thanks for video like that.
Undead, Weatherman, whoever else creates team 6k, we are all very grateful for your awesome job which is this channel, its content, guides for new decks, updates for old ones so we can still have fun.
I hope we can play with you once or at least you will host some tournaments like those legacy ones. My suggestion: since its wcs right now what do you think about commenting/guiding series where we can learn strategies of champions?
I do miss Dkayed 😢. Does any remember duel links entertainment, I’d love the it detailed long discussions of the current meta
I strangely remember a time when events had these weird gimmick challenges. I kinda miss those now.
I had a sick nasty dragon OTK deck in old duel links using element dragon and gray wing's ability to attack twice combined with dragon treasures, black pendant, and banner of command. element dragon needed wind monsters to attack twice so i also had 4-star lady bug and twin-headed behemoth to guarantee u get a wind body for element next turn as turn 1 plays. a spicy tech was inter-dimensional matter transporter dodging removal to keep the pressure on. was a really fun time to play duel links for sure.
I purposely avoided DL until Links were introduced because I felt Yugioh as "incomplete" without all summoning mechanics in, now I see I did a mistake.
I don't wish an "old" yugioh simulator, I want a "fun" yugioh simulator. I wouldn't mind a Yugioh simulator that has all newer summoning mechanics BUT starts really balanced and simple. Are you really going to tell me people will have a hard time understanding how Gaia Saber, the Lightning Shadow works, or Gem-Knight Pearl? People often say newer summoning mechanics ruined the game and made it too complex, but (maybe besides Pendulums) summoning mechanics are not complex, the card effects and newer card design are what's complex and super specific and restrictive. I'd love a DL restart that has Synchros, Xyz, Links BUT it's just a pile of goodstuff and the skills are super specific and restrictive.
What you just said. Thats a problem!!! And you don't even realize it... "BUT starts balanced"....
It can't just "start" balanced and then later introduce all the newer broken shit after.. it's doomed to fail yet again that way.
We've been repeating that same shit numerous times now and it fails every god damn time!
What yugioh needs is to get rid of about 90% of it's effect monsters and turn them into normal or as people say "vanilla" monsters. And convert those effects into spells/traps/skills.
OR
Just don't add any new content past GX/5ds at all!!
It doesn't matter how much people may like the newer shit, if you add it.. it ALWAYS changes the game yugioh into another card game all together. So just Don't add it. Period.
@@Wuunderboy i doesnt need to powercreep into the mess we have now. Again, the newer summon mechanics are nor broken on their own, the game just needs heavy balancing and a philosophy going forward that is not "topping the previous set's power level" each time
@@LookingForTheTop it doesn't need to but it will! That's what you're not understanding
The game is nothing compared to how it was back in the old days. It's just sad, how poorly Konami has handled the game and failed us. This video shows a glimpse of how much bigger, popular, different/unique and more fun it used to be. IMHO, the game now has basically become like modern Yu-Gi-Oh! A coin flip simulator Solitaire type game, and it just sucks tbh, it's just so sad 😔. If it continues like this, IMO the game will eventually die in a few years! 😞
It was never going to stay caveman ygo forever.let alone be about anime garbage.
The eople that keep saying this are a hunch of ygo boomers coping hard that ygo can not remain simple
@@soukenmarufwt5224anime stuff is fundamental part of duel links with the voice lines, the cutscenes, the characters, it's the main difference from master duel or tcg.
I agree it cannot remain simple and play with old cards. But the balancing should avoid becoming like modern Yugioh negate-meta
I miss those old days, i remember having some of the best duels back then, playing exodia, burn stall, ftks...
My first deck, a plant synchro deck, mostly made out of naturia and some yusei/aki cards, and playing as akiza because of what grows in the gy, literally a tool box extra deck, a synchro for every situation, with a surprise otk in the form of making a turn 1 mist wurm using verge, nat rose and wt rose dragon, then milling carrot weight champion to revive it for the otk.
Nowadays this deck not only doesnt work because of the power level, but also because of the weird hit to what grows in the gy.
Seriously, i miss dl before the gaia structure, thats when these "fix hand/auto play" skills started popping up...
so true. sadly DL died when MD came out and has gotten worse and worse while remaining too P2W
I remember having a save dual on dual links sucks that It got deleted even though I locked it. During the end of that duel during the DSOD era I intentionally crash my Krystal dragon into my opponent blue eyes. Thankfully on his next turn he didn't have any backroll removal for the trap that I set for him after he attacked I activated my trap monster crystal avatar to win the duel.

Charmer is kind of a gimmick, but it can be very creative due to how it works. There's Free-Range Monsters > Blizzard Princess on the opponent's turn, turning off spells. You can play successor soul and shuffle any bricks out of your starting play. I've even teched in Fortune Fairies because the level 4 can special itself and remove a monster.
And now the more coherant wind synchro varient is getting some buffs.
Ooooh dats sound nice we could duel against my ice barriers
Mind sharing a list for examples?
@@showstopperexe The Duel Links Meta website is where I got the wind synchro stuff. Speedroid Charmers is fairly easy to build. I miss forbidden Cyber Style so much
I started playing Duel lInks in earnest in late 2017 (i downloaded the game after seeing DSOD but dropped it pretty quickly). I started PVP soon after, and quickly fell in love with Hazy Flame, as messy and inconsistent as it was. I played the deck almost exclusively for nearly 7 years, getting monthly KoGs with it around the end of 2019. I stopped the monthly grind this June, and with it, I've probably dropped out of the game for the foreseeable future. There's a lot of fun in having a pet deck that changes with the times. I can still vividly picture facing off against both Amazoness from 2018 and Tenyi from 2023. I can't really fault a game for moving past it, but Hazy Flame was always synonymous with Duel Links for me.
I know it was for a lot of folks.
I started playing back in March, 2017 because of my friends. I played nearly consecutively for two years and then some the following years. When the first Toon event dropped and the exclusive was a prismatic dark magician girl my focus was to Lv. Max Pegasus for as much support as possible. Another toon event happened, which released another copy of toon DMG, then I believe a 3rd even happened. I was stoked about that, but disappointed in the game making something feel exclusive no longer locked because eventually you could use tickets to just get toon dmg. The events way back felt good to complete like there was going to be some cards that only a few unlocked through dedication. I haven’t finished an event in a few years now, but I still play with everything that I previously made, even if it’s not meta.
Bro you forgot James Warai in the Intro
Edit: My favorite era is Amazoness Era that's when I hit the King of Games for the first time, I'm really proud that I am one of the player that play this game since the beginning and watch the game evolve through the years and until now I'm still playing even though I have a love/hate relationship in this game, I'm still enthusiastic in playing this game and now I'm still patiently waiting for ultimate conductor tyranno and other Dino supports to be released in this game

Classic DL was fun. Started playing with very little knowledge of how to play the game right. I still thought mst negated 😂 when DL came out. Now i know so much more and play master duel know. On diamond 3 now hopefully can get to master rank again this season. Playing snake eyes
I think my favorite yugioh moment in general was when I playing a insect deck based around meta insect queen and I discovered a very funny interaction des mosqiuto combined with mirror mail it would not only copy the monsters atk vaule but Des's counter mean it would always have more attack then the monster so it destroys the attacker. so imagine the joy of watching boss monsters like blue eyes ultimate and obelisk get destroyed by a pack filler bug with some shiny armor and then swinging for game with it
My friends who got me into the game in 2016 stopped playing around 2017 but I kept at it just because I wanted to know how the mechanics of Yugioh worked and I didn't want to play the physical card game. All these years later, I'm still not sure if I should've stopped like my friends did, but at least I can say I was there to live through like every version of a Tea skill causing havoc on the ranked meta.

I miss the old destiny and vision hero eras: after destiny rulers and after fortress of gears. Especially with the masked hero anki forbidden chalice OTK. And I miss Amazoness back when every character was using it. I used to mess with people by using Aster and just throwing trinity, dangerous, and some anki into my extra deck to make it look like I was playing heroes.

It wasn't an issue back when it was all new and still good with just one vyon. But I get why people don't like it. At least the Destiny Effect deck is more f2p friendly.

The closest other thing was Solfachords being very briefly tiered before being quickly powercrept, and no Pend deck's been relevant since
Its all connected to be honest. Master duel= modern yugioh.
And modern yugioh is pendulums, links etc. All trash and broken, it may as well not even be yugioh but another card game all together.@Nomorehats
I wish konami would see this and ban all the crazy skills and make duel links like the anime or "animewise* which is the purpose of it afterall and only gave skills 2 the characters that had powers in the anime...for example atems destiny draw and pegasus' millenium eye...those make sense...i also remember the old days where or the voice of the charcaters got me hype...its a shame the power creep keeps climbing...sometimes i wish everyone sends konami a long a** email saying ayo make the game the same way it was when it was first released...
Cope hard YGO boomer
I hate pretending to play like anime fantasy land.
I still haven't forgiven Konami for refusing to make Blair the lightsworn user over her garbage anime trash deck no one sane plays
I started duel links because of nostalgia going back to my high school days when Synchros didn’t exist and only had the original series with Yugi, Joey, Kaiba etc.
But it was inevitable that it would eventually turn into modern yu-gi-oh 2.0
The funniest thing in DL was woodland sprite and the bamboo cards being the most broken cards in the game for like 2 weeks until it got emergency banned
3:25 ahh yes, the Unga Bunga days
I always remember the first time I got KOG it was with an ancient gear deck that wouldn’t get you past gold now but itll always be cool to me
I suddenly remembered that Skystarray + Temple of the Minds' Eye meme deck. Simpler times, man :(
Man, i remember like it was yesterday, when ancient gear structure deck got in, something change in my perception, i guess it was more of a slow change, but it was the first time we recieved a full strategy in the same place, only buy 3 copies, done, congrads, you have a meta deck, just use weevil and parasite paracide and it is very unlikely for you to lose to 4fun decks.
I Remember that for that moment foward the boxes started to have sort of an strategy, it would have an meta deck, but the next box would have a strategy to counter that meta deck, then the next box would be the new meta deck, and so on. It had a few exceptions like Invoker but i think it does not dismiss the point, powercreep was getting into the game, and nothing could stop it.
I dropped the game somewere around photon galaxy, didnt regret a bit, but damm it was fun in the early years, i remember my dino deck with dark brachio, just too much fun man.
Ps: just gone to search the boxes to see were i stopped and realized that the last 15 structure decks were EX decks... I FUCKING KNEW IT!!!! I knew this was going to happen, konami's greed is limitless!!!
I will never forget topping an MCS with YTDan’s Ancient Gear Nephthys deck. Now I’m an Ancient Gear *cries in old man*
I miss Dkayed on DL😢
Who remembers yamiblood?
Ended on such a happy note, my favorite thing ever about duel links was being able to play burn and either last gamble my way into 6 more cards to win or fail and get a 1 and cry 😭
I remember taking Aromage all the way to Platinum and beyond, thanks to Akiza's what grows in the graveyard skill that just puts a level 2 Dark Verger in the graveyard on turn 0. I had the Naturia Rosewhip. A level 3 plant tuner, that could summon back the Dark Verger and create Aromaseraphy Rosemary on turn 1, or other level 5 synchros. Then right when I was about to hit KOG... they nerfed the skill into the ground. Now you needed to be on like 2000 or less L.P., to even activate the skill in the first place. This nerf basically skilled the skill, and the one chance that I would ever have, of getting KOG with Aromages. :(
I clicked this video cuz it's the truth!! They destroyed this application
Loved dkayeds DL tournaments and getting to kog with non meta decks, i kept playing red eyes even when it was bad and in t0 formats and got to kog with it in many seasons.
Gunzblazer last gamble moments❤
BEATODOWN. I miss guns taking every opportunity to play Star Boy decks just so he could play The Weeknd song on repeat
Nostalgic Intro with Guns theme song 😎 definitely missed those days as well.
I still watch gunsblazing videos for the nostalgia. Nothing beats chilling to sonic boom and Deja vu
One thing I love about Duel links Is when cards that are dog water In Regular Yu-Gi-Oh see play it just Makes Me smile and seeth at the time
The last tiem I tried to make a fun deck with a gimmick in mind was a Signal Warrior deck, the moment I saw Mizar's skill that activates a field spell on both sides of the field I thought "this is the moment to use SW and try to use it to it's full potential", sadly there was already enough removals or cards like book of moon to prevent it from being useful.
It feels crazy that an skill like that needs you to be on your second turn or + and can only be used once while other broken skills work like once per turn or twice per duel and do much more
Always use your UR dream tickets on Axe Raider
there hasn't been a good ban list in some time while newer box sets as of late having been adding so much consistency to decks via the new cards and new skills, i used to like duel links as my alternative dumb'ed down format of the tcg and now master duel, i really hope the power level decreases a bit again or have some sort of insane update to change things around for the better!
there hasn't been a banlist in a while because the format has been healthy for a while. if you don't like the pace of the game thats okay, but that doesn't mean that the game is unhealthy, the format is diverse and has been since the last banlist. duel links was always going to get to this point and whatever point is the cutoff point for you personally isnt the cutoff point for somebody else, but there are other formats you can play that are slower. -undead
As a Red-Eyes player, it might've frustrating for me to fight some pretty unfair decks back in the day, but I can't say it wasn't satisfying when I did beat them.
I had loved watching, Guns blazing as he was my first channel I watched when it came to duel links then DKyed replaced him when guns left. Then I looked into more channels that where Watt 007 and he extended to Loom Best Deck and then it extended to It's Brad HD / DLE for news and leaks content. Now I just believe that my time with duels links / my Yu-Gi-Oh nostalgia has been clenched a couple of years ago. If it was not for those content creators and master links discord I would had never played Master Duel the official approved TCG / OCG style of the game. I had my fun with the series and it is time for me to move on :D
My favorite meta was the silent magician era where she was the best tier one deck. I loved her as she was an anime monster and she was one of my favorite cards to use. After the deck was hit in 2018 I took a break and when I return Shiranui was a new introduced deck and I loved squire design and learn sycho summon and it was heavily simple and it eventually came to become meta and with great traps that help destroy everything but my own effects to keep my monsters self I enjoyed the title again. Then it was nerfed I stopped playing it was buffed a few months ago a played for three months, the deck was gutted again and I stopped playing again. That is my current experience with duel links.
its really cool when people have their own decks they love -undead
