    i’ll help you.
Beyoncé put a country song on her album Lemonade called “Daddy Lessons” and with that song, she got nominated for a few country music awards. When she performed at the CMAs, ruclips.net/video/Jj1T7uHdBcY/видео.htmlsi=cwvbJOKheyKgjQFP they scrutinized her, and didn’t welcome her with open arms to the country music scene. despite the fact that she’s quite literally a country girl. Houston native, always scrutinized for speaking “too country” and when she shows those country roots, majority white men in country music hurled so much hate towards her.
Thus struck her Country villain origin story.
Cowboy Carter is a country history lesson. Which she plays with almost every style of country in this album. Western, Traditional, Country-Pop, Country-Rock etc…
She also reflects on her bloodline. Her great grandfather Davis, was a successful moonshiner in the american south. she mentions him in “American Requeiim”. She actually just launched a whiskey brand in him, and her son’s name. Whiskey, being a common drink cowboys drink.
    Let’s talk about the storytelling.
Bodyguard, Jolene, Daughter, and Tyrant has become a 4 part story. part one Bodyguard, where she proclaims her love for her partner. and notices the mistress lurking around, trying to seduce him. so in part 2, Jolene, which is a dolly parton song, which is why she introduces it, coincides with beyonces experience with a woman (becky with the good hair) causing a major disruption in her marriage because obviously jay z took the bait. so in jolene, the beyonce version she’s saying, i see you, i know what your doing, and im warning you to stay away. it’s also rumored that jolene is not only about a previous woman that jay z cheated with but a new possible threat, and Beyonce isn’t having it again. part 3 The song daughter, is like sitting in a confession with a priest. or sitting at an altar, Having thoughts of hurting the women that came for her husband and asking for help, being overwhelmed and angry about those women and how she’s been hurt is expressed when she starts belting in a different language, a display of losing her mind because she’s so frustrated. Then you have part 4, Tyrant, where she’s talking to the mistress comparing her to a tyrant because of her apparent ability to seduce and control men with no remorse. telling her she “hated her once, but envies her now” basically trying to study how she moves like she does with no emotion. so badass. and maybe learning how she’s so tough can teach bey to come into a new form of a boss-bitch, even though she already is. which is a double entendre because she’s asking this woman how she does it, and the woman is probably wondering the same thing about Beyoncè.
II hands II heaven, one of my favorites is a lovey dovey song, but it’s really about surrending. lifting your two hands to heaven, “please forgive my soul” putting your hardships behind you. chasing joy even in moments of oppression. “lost virgins with broken wings that will regrow”. meaning people that have asked for forgiveness, have a new fresh chance at life.
Spaghetti, Plays on spaghetti western, a style of cowboy films. but also takes a dig at the lack of substance in current country songs “no sauce no sauce, too soft too soft”
Ya-Ya, a country-rock blend is a massive track where she gives a stylish history lesson about life in the south for black people in the earlier years, and compares them to now. hence why she screams “vote!” and keeps repeating “we gotta keep the faith”
Not only is it a History Lesson but Beyoncé is currently on a 3 Act Run. And in these 3 Acts, she is reclaiming originally black genres that have been rebranded by essentially all white artists. Act I, renaissance reclaims Dance/House music which was originated by black underground club culture stemming in the 1980s. Act II, Cowboy Carter, Reclaims the biggest most controversial category of music, Country. Originated by our black ancestors in the upper south. Act III, Rock and Roll, originated by BLACK Blues singers in the 1930s
this 3 act run has also been a major rebrand. she’s managed to single handedly sway Generation Z as a major fan base. Keeping her in stadiums and in the top charts for the next 10 years.

Btw this is act 2 and Renaissance was act 1. But technically it meant to be the opposite way she just didn't want to have too deep sort of music during the pandemic. So if u notice as this album goes on there's more bounce to it. Just like Renaissance. Then the end of Amen sounds like an alien abduction lol it's because it's meant to flow into Im That Girl from renaissance the more futuristic dance bouncy music

I respected you reacting to this album but I think you should skip over albums of this caliber because it seems like you don’t understand the album and it makes you a bit underwhelming to watch when you don’t understand the musicality of what you’re listening to and then correctly assembling what you heard. I’m not trying to come off bad or wrong in any way but Beyoncé isn’t for everyone. Maybe try someone of today’s generation.
