- My TCL Smart TV stuck at a startup where the TCL logo came or sometimes taking too long for the smart system to come. The problem is with startup only, what could be the reasons please guide??
You can try to perform a power reset on the TV by doing the following:
Unplug the cable of the TV for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Then the TV will lit up check if the TV is still stuck on the logo when it turns on.

This issue is very simple to resolve. I work as a tech support in TCL online services.. Just simply perform a complete power cycle; turn the TV off, unplug the TV and locate the tv's power button and press and hold it for 15 seconds while the TV is unplugged then plug the TV back in and turn it on. If it didn't work, there's a reset button along the input ports at the back of the TV, just simply press and hold it for 15 secs while the TV is plugged in and turned on, the TV will reboot itself automatically.

Please unplug the power cable of tv and wait for 5 minutes.

Amazing! This worked!! I have a TCL Roku TV 75R635 and it was stuck on the TCL logo screen. Pulling out the power cord and waiting several minutes did nothing. I pressed the reset button on the back for 20 s and it went into recovery mode. I installed some software update, and it worked. I didn't lose any of my apps and login info either! Thanks!!

Hi I have a 65" TCL 4K smart 3D tv about 6 years old, the sensor won't turn on or off the tv anymore and if I press and hold, that on switch at the back , the tv will eventually come up with the main screen on and logo, but it takes ages or doesn't come up at all, but it won't switch off, if the screen with logo does come up, the remote won't work or do anything to change the screen , and the TV just stays on like that until the power cord plug is pulled out, can you advise me what the issue could be , please. thanks. My TV has Logo stuck and restarting every minute. I tried to update with the IMG file that the manufacturer makes available on the website. When it enters to start the file verification process, it works for some time at 1%, suddenly jumps to 20% and gives an error and restarts again. Should this process work for Google TV as well? I have the 55DP648 United Kingdom model.
Stuck on logo, tried hard reset and a message pops up saying 'software check failed, unplug power cable, plug bck in and to try again'.
I've done this numerous times but it still won't turn on properly.
I have manually update it via USB in the past and luckily I still have the USB stick with the files on. My problem is that I cannot access any settings via remote control to be able to Update the firmware via USB.

I do not have a reset button, it's the basic TV model without roku or android system. It's there own system with free view for the UK.

I have a tcl 50p65us 4k uhdr smart tv. Operating on linux with amazone alexa and netflix ... after a power surge my ps4 got smoked and that is totally dead no way that is working as the amount of smoke burned the ps4 . It was connexted to my tv but after the lghtibg problem was fixed i tried to start my tv it started up , cec is active on it tlink and on my forestick remote which also starts the tv. Now my tv has a white led only and forst time it started up but the router had short circuited as well ..i put the tvs cec off and tlink amd went to reset tv till then tv was on , but i was unable to switch on my firestick which did start but no network.. after deciding to reset all settings and restart the tv the problem started . It switches on screen is dim for like 5 seconds and the lights up shows the tcl logo perfect color everything but it switches pff after that and im still able to start it with my fire tv remote but alexa is not connecting so it just starts the tv and same logo comes and switches pff the light is white led and sometimes it blinks i pressed fpr 30 seconds the power button below suddenly a software type screen came for a second and switched off .. what do i do ?

Just shy of 4 months old and my tcl is in the continuous recovery mode loop 4 days straight now. tvupdate.roku.com/index?p=select I went to this site and it asked for the tcl model.....which I am able to see on the purple recovery mode screen....it stated that it was incorrect....I entered all rows of 12 digit numbers and kept telling me that they were incorrect but a pop up asked if my tcl roku tv was model 50S421.... I clicked yes. I clicked continue, i obtained the tvupdate site from that next step. I uploaded the "Update" onto a flash drive and inserted it into the tv....nada....nothing....zilch.... the tv is not picking up the drive.... On the tvupdate page, it asks for the 12 digit code that should of displayed after the thumb drive was inserted.... If I can't get past the recovery mode.... there's nothing left but keep digging for my receipt and search for a solution for someone to give me back my money or replace it for something that is going to last as it should.

You can't. Tcl make it virtually impossible to download firmware for usb flashings. The option is there fir engineers only. They do not post firmware on website. So its network update only.

Great videos...my 55S405TBCA screen freezes every 5 to 6 seconds. The issue happens all the time (home screen, inside apps, or watching via antenna). The freeze lasts for about 1 second and distorts the screen with horizontal and/or vertical lines. I've performed a factory reset and have replaced the power supply board but neither have fixed the issue. Will replace the tcon board next and if that fails, I suppose that leaves the main board...

@tajammul I have the same problem. Please let me know how you sorted your problem. I have the same problem. TV asked if I wanted to update. I click on the update button. Till now it is still showing the google screen non - stop all day.

Hi, first check: unplug the tv power cable for 5 minutes. Hold tv power button for 10 seconds. Now reconnect power cable and turn on tv . If not open there are several reasons. Like software down, incorrect voltage supply from power supply board or main board.
However for download the firmware visit tv website input tv model or serial number.
Check tv main board for firmware version.

I have a TCL 43P615 android TV, probably slightly older than a month, and since last night the whole screen shines in a dark grey in Standby but also when I shut it completely off. The only way it stopped was when I unplugged the TV. I changed nothing in my settings and I also got the current Software Update. Can somebody help?

@@bashiribrahimakpogu8729 I sent it to TCL twice for them to fix it. After the first attempt the problem was still the same but since the second one I've never had this problem again. You should try that too if it's still under warranty.

If not work then check below.
Sometimes this is happening due to incomplete software update.
However you can update via usb drive.

Hy justin, when tv won’t turn on after update firmware that’s mean previous firmware become unstable. You can re install original firmware via usb drive.

If you update the tv firmware and after that the problem raised then you need to repeat the firmware update via usb drive.
Also you’re can apply basic methods:
Unplug the power cable of tv from electric source.
Hold the power button for 10 seconds.
Then plug in 🔌 cable and recheck the issues. Hopefully this will solve the problem of the tv.
