Autumn is my favourite season! I love the beautiful coloured leaves dotting the trees and keeping warm by a toasty fire with a mug of baileys hot chocolate! Perfect way to end a chilly autumn walk 🍂🍁
My favourite thing about autumn is the view of the River Clyde from my window in Port Glasgow. It’s beautiful all year round, but it’s lovely to see the changing leaves on the trees.
I like the change in seasons anyway. They all have their unique qualities and there are aspects of them all that I enjoy. I do like putting on the winter bedding, cosy slippers and buying nice hot chocolate !It's a time for snuggling down and trying not to worry about heating costs. My husband loved Scotland and he thought that the Falkirk Wheel was the most beautiful piece of engineering he had ever seen ! I wore that fragrance as well for my wedding. I kept the bottle ❤ happy memories.

Autumn has always been a favourite to me. Going back to school with new uniform, new stationary- starting writing in brand new exercise books, meeting back up with friends after the summer break, the excitement of what's to come. The changing weather, the changing colours ( I've been lucky to travel through Scotland several times during autumn as my sister has a little holiday home in Alva) it's just all so beautiful to the senses. As an adult I love the whole run up to Halloween, bonfire night and Christmas, even more now that I'm a grandmother!
I know Alva very well as I used to spend time in Tillicoultry as a child in the school summer holidays staying with my gran. I remember going into Alva.🥰

My favourite thing about autumn is seeing the Ochil hills over my village turning gorgeous shades of yellows and oranges. I especially love it when it’s still warm enough to not need a huge coat on my walks but I think that time has already passed. Now I’m more about cosy scented candles and big mugs of tea to warm up as the nights close in.

My favourite thing about autumn is the beauty of the season. The blue of the sky becoming lighter as it gets closer to winter, the leaves on the trees becoming vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges, as they fall. A gloomy fog rolling off of the hills and the frost on the grass. The moisture from a crisp night sky dancing in the light of a torch. Everything about the season just screams warmth and coziness ❤. (Also bonus points for Halloween being in autumn too).
