Steve you're one of my first teacher, thanks to your videos I learned a lot. I remember couple years ago when I finish college I was not sure about window cleaning I see your tips I really appreciate your time, now I own one of the biggest window cleaning in USA, Mexico and Canada thank you sir. I hop one of this days I can make one order for my self, I again thanks
I just test drove my new xero trad yesterday and everything you said is what I found. I called and addressed the end issue when I bought it and he said it was supposed to come with a plastic end cap that I didn't receive in the box.
Great video SteveO. You have a knack of always picking great topics that can help all of us out at any level. I was really thinking about a trad pole made from a water-fed pole and your timing on this review was perfect and you covered it well. Glad you got some r and r and are home safely. Hope you get some sunny spring weather soon.
I don’t know about over there but in the UK they sell extra end caps for each section. They are normally pretty tight so don’t need to be glued. When you split your pole just slip on the right size end cap and away you go👍
I was just at one of our biggest jobs today thats a solid 4-5hrs of pole work and the highest windows are just over 24ft and boy was I cussing out my garelick poles. I went to use the one and it was completely froze and wouldn't unlock, so I grabbed the other one and was scrubbing a window and it starts retracting because it came loose. I was about ready to kink it in half!!😡 When the garelicks work I have no COMPLAINTS but in freezing subzero Iowa temps I have nothing but problems with them locking and unlocking so I try to do my bigger jobs on the warmest days strictly for that reason. I think I'm going to pick me up one of these micro poles, but what would you recommend to replace the 24ft garelick that actually locks....an unger optiloc? Thx for the review, always appreciated!!😁
I have the same problems with Garelicks especially in the winter. I would get the unger Tele plus poles for a 24 ft one that’s what we use in the winter, but I would definitely invest in a Xero micro/trad pole...a really great investment if you ask me

Like the Carbon. Is this regular carbon or "hi mod" carbon? I will say this video reminded me of Why I HATE external "twist" lock poles like that Blue pile of crap and even the Green ones every janitor has. I'd rather buy a new Garelick every two years than put up with those clunky external collars. But...I did like the rigidity of the carbon (or Hi - mod?) pole, and the Clamps seem "reasonable" but I too am questioning the SAME three points for Cons that you listed. Great Video!
Hey i love the video i had a question at the 2min and 7sec. Mark you are removing your poles and you mounted (pole holders) where did you buy them??? I want the same thing for my cargo van???
How do i get that tip for the xero trad pole? I just got one but it comes with a wooden tip. I would much rather have a tip that will lock my squeegee in place
Thanks for another top review 👌🏼 I would get one and will get one if have the chance. I like opti loc poles but can be a real pain sometimes like you said in your vid.
I would love to buy my tools from Window Cleaning Resource but they don't ship to Australia. Must be hard getting use to the cold weather after your trip to the Philippines. Must get one of those poles.

I dig the 3 section stuff for the ninja 2 slot stuff. but not sure about fliq or wagtailing anything with it. yet
Awsome video, I'm highly considering this trad pole.

This trad pole is just basic carbon fiber but at 12' its still rigid full extended and light to use

Fernando Mendoza you can get them at Home Depot or Lowe’s
How do you attach the unger tip to the xero trad pole? I can not find the red adapter on wcr anywhere
It’s now this, check out the video on the page to see how to use it

@@SteveOthewindowcleaner Thank you.
Good luck today too.
I do the same thing.
I envy the Squeeze Kit
I'm saving carbon fiber poles for winter work. just because they dont freeze like a freaking icicle.
Hey Steveo what is the tip called that connects the trad to the squeegee
John Mejia let me figure it out and I’ll get back to ya...
Ok thanks
Excellent info. Thank you.
Thanks for another top review 👌🏼

Mr B opti loc are great poles but the Xero trad pole is on a different level...
Welcome back Steve-0

Joe Lorenzo it is, it snowed two straight days when we got home 😭
Well Kinda sad can’t buy it in EU and the windowcleaningresource does not ship to EU.
Hi M, I have the same issue in Australia. So, I’m researching the Gardiner SLX 30ft. Good luck!
That does suck...I’m sorry Michael
Love the gunslinger
On the butt end of the pole , would a rubber cane pad fit on it ?
And whats the difference between the two on weight?
David Browning that’s exactly what we were thinking of using. The Xero is lighter then the unger
I am going to measure my two poles old and xero trad and see if they are the same so I will buy a handle replacement and add to my trad.
Does Xero have a website?

Yes, I like music too,

can this be used for painting/staining?
Yes it can be, they come with an acme tip which will attach to most paint brush handles windowcleaner.com/xero-carbon-fiber-trad-pole-2-0?pt=MY
