I own a 612v, would buy another if I lost it or someone stole it. In fact, this is more versatile for more genres of music, than say, a fender strat. Awesome playability and quality from a well respected brand, at a fraction of the cost of other high end instruments.
Men thank you for this video!!!! You are able to explain very good!! And you're playing very very well! The guitar is fantastic!! In the clean channel she is like a strat and in the od channel like a paula !!;)
A SD custom 5? Thought that'd be too bright in an alder bodied guitar. Was thinking of upgrading the pickups in my 120h and the duncan sight only recomends a jb or 59 for this type of guitar. Strange.
@@TurboMountTV yup i find the 611 and 612 both excellent guitars, i have a 611 and i love it because it's different, but the 612 does the strat type guitar very well. Even the newer Revstar range is cool, i have a 502 and i love it.
Best and cheapest solution for binding issues by the nut = rub some dry soap over the nut grooves before you replace the strings. End of binding issues. Give it a try if you are in doubt. Peace
A guitar tech once taught me to take a simple pencil and fill the nut grooves with a little bit of graphite when changing strings. Never had a problem since !
I absolutely love this guitar. High quality components and craftsmanship. Just do a setup and you're set for life.

Played one yesterday, very impressed, p90 is hot. Love it.
Big quality, big sound, little price.
Amazing Yamaha!!! Again...
Absolutely great sounding guitar and the price tag is very reasonable too! #yamaha makes really good instruments.
Best tutorial of all! Thanks mate!
There seems to be a current inventory problem with all Pacifica 611/612 models. I found one 611 on Amazon.
Good review. I went and got a 611VFM,
Question: What is that red guitar on the wall behind you with the three mini-humbuckers ?
Looks interesting.
👍👍👍👍
Anyone know if can add the tremolo after ?
mate this guitars are really cool, it would be better if all those versions of pacifica were sold in brazil. we jsut have 012j and the 112j.
What's the difference between this and the 612?
this guy is boss

Can you replace the P-90 with a regular single coil pickup ? What about the larger cavity in the guitar ??
Yeah how about buying a 612 that already comes with singles?...
@@valebliz Vale... exactly what I ended up doing. Luckily Sweetwater exchanged it.
The Yamaha Pacifica 612 is an AMZING instrument!!!

I thought I'd like the P-90, but it aint no true single coil. I thought it sounded like the proverbial wet blanket over amp.

@@Ausf.D.A.K. graphite is indeed the way to go.
Coil split not coil tap !
where this guitar made from?
+Wency Vistal Indonesia I think
Lubricate the nut, very important
They are decent guitars indeed. The MIJ Yamahas are even better...
Why would you want this hard tail version when the tremelo version has a high quality Wilkinson tremelo?!?
