We all need a little haven to return to again and again. This is mine - or a little version of it!
I've wanted to make a beautiful coastal diorama for some time. The Cove is what I came up with after about 6 hours of modelling. It's in a very miniature scale. I might get round to making one in HO scale at some point, but here I just wanted to build the entire scene in the space of a few centimetres.
Water effects are always fun to do, and this video will show you how I created model waves and surf. It will also show you my method for making a realistic beach.
I always enjoy making model rocks. You could adapt the techniques I used here for use in building rocks for wargaming terrain or model railways.
I hope you enjoy watching me making this realistic beach diorama.
In this video I use several products that were gifted to me to use in my videos:
Vegetation/plants by Diorama Presepe (www.dioramapresepe.com, / dioramapresepe.com_off... , ruclips.net/channel/UCeSX....
Freehand Router by Hot Wire Foam Factory: hotwirefoamfactory.com
CFS Fibreglass have gifted me resin products in the past, but the resin featured in this video is stuff I bought from them previously: www.cfsnet.co.uk
Many of the materials and tools I use come with safety instructions. Please always read and follow these rather than simply copy what you see me or other people doing.

i literally fell asleep to this last night and now i’m watching it again (:
i am literally about to full asleep to this, no joke
I was 0.0000000000001% away from falling asleep
10 minutes through the video and I was knock out
i almost did damn
I have no idea how or why I got here but I not gonna complain. This was really calming and it looks so pretty! Also- "angel hairs" is such a nice name for something, I've never heard them be called that before
Agreed
@Myrrh xD
Same thing happened to me
The only people who dislike this video have no appreciation for such talent

This is the calmest side of RUclips I have ever seen, this restores my faith in humanity
Thank you. I'm so happy it makes you feel like this. That's exactly why I started the channel. Videos like those by Mike from Terranscapes were instrumental in getting me through a really tough time.

It's true. This diorama is beautiful.
Ah, thank you!
I can’t stop thinking about how the foam would be so good for a puzzle
Omg yes, it would be!!
You are like me?
And yeah, I think it would be
especially for little kids even big foam pieces
I was overloading on math homework and exercises in this first week of school to busy myself from loneliness after leaving my toxic fake friends, this caused me to have a huge migraine today and I’m already dealing with a rolled ankle and sore legs
I was feeling dizzy and wanting to go to bed but too tired to go to my room and instead watched this
Very relaxing and soothing to the eyes, thanks so much to this channel and other artists who calm and inspire us to cope through the making of art and recognise that our mental health is also important
Thanks for calming me down, thanks very very much 💕
Thank you for this amazing comment 🙂
this is the most relaxing and beautiful thing ive stumbled upon🥺 your voice is so relaxing and soft
really really good job!!
That kynmaaa!! pfp is so cute😭😭😂
He is like the Bob Ross of sculpting. Very relaxing :)
Agreed
Maybe do one with underwater cave with blue LED shining from inside?
If I ever get time, maybe 🙂
so this popped up on my recommended page, and i don't regret watching this for a millisecond

NOW THIS, THIS RIGHT HERE IS ART
Talent to its extreme! When I saw the thumbnail = At first I thought you where making a place on earth as a god!
My purpose in life is to find my paradise (aka my resting place) and this is exactly how I imagined it would look like.
Thank you for helping me "find" it and making me feel at peace.
I was watching this late last night and fell asleep to it- woke up this morning and went to check my notifications and I saw this staying there- remembered and then watched the rest. So creative 😁
This is truly amazing, you are definitely my biggest inspiration as a diorama builder what you turn out is beautiful, great work as always.
Thanks Wayne 🙂
Brilliant, one of my favourites so far 😁. Would love to see you do a harbour scene soon
Thanks Scott
@@HighEyeWorkshop a harbor scene could be really cool. Great vid!

my god is that foam cutter soothing to watch
i wish i found this channel sooner but i'm glad i have now
This gentleman is amazing! I would love to watch him making dioramas in person!
dude, this must take some serious patience. I could never have this much patience
That one kid who has their parents do their school project for them:
These are the project first graders turn in when they're parents "helped"
This is easily one of the most comforting channels I’ve ever come across, thank you man
Was having a day to myself and found this channel. I've been watching your videos all day, they're so relaxing and comforting
Looking at the thumbnail alone, my eyes felt blessed. This is a beauty
Very nice diorama!
Thanks for sharing the step-by-step work!
Thank you so much for the detailed instructions. More so, showing how to correct errors. It was very educational and relaxing at the same time.
This gave me the same feeling of finally finishing your minecraft mansion and looking at it in the sunset.
This is so relaxing. I think I'm going to watch one every night before sleep and the bonus is I'm learning how to model water :)
The resin part was amazing!
Absolutely Beautiful
I could dream awhile on a beach like this 😁
Thanks Kim.
Informative, creative and calming.
You are the Mr. Rogers of Dioramas
I didn't think I'd stay for the entire vid but I did :) thx for making this it will rly nice ✊✨
I can just imagine the sea turtles going to lay eggs in that little cove! It's amazing!
How cute would it be to do a diorama like this but add baby sea turtles making their way into the ocean!
@@Sarah-ic4yu That would be so cute!
I never felt so satisfied like this in my life and by art my favorite 🤩
I'm still in awe of what you start with, your own process (with excellent explanation) of all you do & the stunning final outcome. Love this piece work of art. 🙌 And it's most definitely relaxing joining you. ❤️❣️
I feel so much better after watching this video its so nice and calming
I was so confused by the fingers in the thumbnail at first, I thought it was a beautiful real-life cove 😅 haha. Gorgeous work!!
Honestly I don't have any idea of how I got here, but this is so beautiful and you're so dedicated. I just love it
The melted foam reminded me of solidified lava flows. This was so cool to watch and it was really nice haveing the explination of steps
Last night I was feeling anxious and I couldn't fall asleep so I finished watching this video and after I was done I felt so calm and I was finally able to fall asleep
I tried watching this but I kept falling asleep. Not because it’s boring but it’s so soothing
Absolutely beautiful. I was just looking for practical techniques but as people say, it's just soooooo relaxing. I'm not good at allowing myself time but must! Thank you so much.
This reminds me of the cove I often think about to relax! 🌊
Nice! All it needs now is a itty-bitty pirate ship. :) It's a lovely project, now I want to build one. Me and my AD&D! 🙈
A pirate ship would be nice 😀
This is my comfort video :D
Truly love the cove! Outstanding technique...you have a lot of patience.
Thank you for sharing!
Thanks you make me so calm and relaxed 😌 I’m gonna subscribe and this is my first video that I watched from you!!
This feels so refreshing to watch even if i wont be doing this for real
your voice is so relaxing 🥺 really helps my early mornings to school when I have to wake up at 5:30
Oh to be able to do this for a living
I love this
Oh how I wish to create these, it’ll be so nice creating one and finally putting all my fantasies into a tiny, moldable world!
It might be cool to use slightly darker sand as a tide line next to the water. It would give the illusion that the sand is wet from waves lapping at the beach.
I'm glad you popped up as a recommended channel.
Wow the initial surface left behind by the hot wire is actually really close to what a cliff face actually looks like
This is what I always hoped my projects would look like
wow, an actually good and wholesome video in my recommended
I found this video while having a mental breakdown ngl this calmed me down😊♥️
Thank god for my recommended. This is absolutely amazing.
I haven't dabbled with diorama's at all for various reasons. It was so great to see you again working at it! You're still the diorama sensei to me. Great stuff :)
Hey, Bas. Nice to hear from you! Hope you're well. Merrick
Fren irl recommended and lol it’s very true this is beautiful-
I watched this before bed had a great sleep your so talented
Absolutely beautiful! Love the colors! My inspiration for Christmas village!
Not even gonna lie I feel like I was at the Cove ❤️❤️

Wow... !!! My best friend, Great... We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks Have a happy day!
K8nda reminds me of the fight scene on the island in Wonder Woman. Looks incredible.
This man is a show and tell legend
3 words for this video:
Amazing!
Beautifull🥺
Creative🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Wow the blade cutting already produces a sedimentation layers look 😮
WOOOOOOOOW I’m definitely going to re create this
This is beautiful! I don’t understand why you haven’t blown up yet!
Gorgeous work. When painting water, I like to flood the water area with alcohol and paint into the wet. Swirles, shapes and blends in the alcohol produce a kind of wash across the area and unexpected blurs as the colors work with each other. You can add darker to simulate depth, greens, and shallow areas. Watch the magic happen.
Wow a really really really really great piece! Good job!
Suddenly my anxiety went away
Ur vids are sooo calming
why am i watching this at 2:27 am?
i dont know
im just here
enjoying watching something i can't do
;u;
You should really consider selling these of you don’t already because this is beautiful artwork/modelling and I would definitely buy this!
He reminds me of bob ross, calming music, soft voice, and great art even if it’s in a different form
You are so talented!! I wish I had the time to do this.......so incredible.
this is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen someone make! you are soo talented!
This calmed me down. I was on the verge of an anxiety attack. I usually watch some of my favorite Minecraft videos but this really helped way more
Mod Podge actually dries clear and is perfect for ripples, and dries much quicker and looks fabulous. It's probably more efficient and MUCH cheaper than the water ripples product you buy. so you could use that if you want
youre so talented and i love having your videos play in the background while I work! they're so relaxing!
This is a real trust the process! It looks so good in the end!
Your voice is rather relaxing good sir. I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel.
I like how the hot wire cutter gives it a nice erosion effect ✨
It looks so realistic! You, good sir, are talented. May you gain a billion more subscribers!
Even though this comment is late, and I just found your channel right now, YOU NEED MORE SUBSCRIBERS! YOUR VIDEOS ARE EPIC!
