Orlando Science Center & A Lunch Date! | Dinosaurs Dancing Lights Show & New Exhibits!

- In today's vlog we head to the Orlando Science Center to renew our membership passes and to see what's new! We wanted to check out the new light show, Dinos in Lights and the 2 new exhibits. One was about the science of prosethics and how they're made and used in everyday life, sports, and more. The other was about "The Zoo In You" and the human microbiome. We watched both Dinos in Lights shows, it plays every 30 mins from 11-3:30, and we thought it was cute! The kids in our showing really enjoyed it and we thought it was a great addition to the Science Center for the holiday season. Then we ended our date with some lunch at Hawkers (we always eat here when we go to science center, it's one of our fav places!) All in all, we had a great time and we highly recommend checking out the Orlando Science Center if you're looking for a non theme park activity! We definitely recommend Hawkers as well, it's so good! Alligators have lived longer than dinosaurs, so yes, one could easily refer to them as dinosaurs. ( Their origin is the Mesozoic era, some 200 million years ago ) ...also, I drive a Jurassic World vehicle and feed alligators at a sanctuary on the weekends. It never stops being fun. They're totally dinosaurs.

Whenever I hear it, I still always think of Fantasia and the scene with the little girl running out into the street after her ball. It was one of my favorite Fantasia pieces so it gives me a lot of nostalgia :)
Also, the town where I work now has a siren at noon that reminds me of the opening note of Rhapsody in Blue, so I find it getting stuck in my head almost every day at noon. I still like it, though.
It's absolutely amazing how many different places you can go to see really cool looking Christmas lights and different shows. Thanks guys for taking us on this journey! Tim just can't get away from that fake snow LOL

The spaceship looking virus is called bacteriophage, and it is a virus that attacks bacteria. I just taught my 7th grade class all about viruses! Haha

Any show with Rhapsody in Blue has to be good! I think I am allergic to the Starbucks Juniper Mocha thing - but I liked it so much that I have to try it again to be sure. I get itching in throat when allergic.

Anytime copyrighted music is playing, notice how they do several rapid cuts? As long as you only play short clips of the music (I forget how long), you can avoid getting copyright dinged. It's a nice trick!

I'm just finishing a university degree in Microbiology and if I had seen that giant statue of a bacteriophage (the virus), I probably would have geeked out so hard. Over the entire exhibit, really haha

Tim is right. Dinosaurs have more in common with modern birds than they do with reptiles. Birds and dinosaurs share more similar anatomical characteristics than any other vertebrate group.

Jenn I have the same issue when I eat Kung Pow... I just started putting a heavy layer of chapstick on before eating it so my lips don’t break out!
Bird are dinosaurs. They are descended from raptors (utahraptor, velociraptor, etc) where as crocodiles and alligators are actually even older, they split off from other archoeasaurs before dinosaurs evolved. So crocodiles are older than dinosaurs and birds are technically dinosaurs.
So we are sort of both right?
@@TheTimTracker Sort of yes! A chicken is indeed a dinosaur! Crocs and alligators are not dinosaurs though. Dinosaurs didn't exist until about a 100 million years later!

My office did a biggest loser challenge from the end of May to the end of August. I won by losing 23 lbs. No one really noticed my weight loss though so now I'm less strict about maintaining my diet. Bring on the winter bod.
