Well if he did get the dynamic package, it will have the same suspension, upgraded brakes and forged rims. Different engine yes, and slightly dif trans. Id call what he said more of a half truth than anything in my opinion.
The whole idea behind is to have fun.. spin tires , smoke , loud exhaust.AWD will pretty much kill that enjoyment

I own a 2012 mustang gt and a 2014 Evo X gsr.
When it comes to cornering, I have tons of more fun in the Evo. I prefer better traction.
Just got one myself couple weeks ago. Such a wild animal! And the shifts in track mode are brutal!

Hellcat and Scat Pack are very different. I had the 2015 SRT 392 and now have the Hellcat Charger. Different handling on all three models. All are great fun, but the Hellcat Charger is my favorite, even though the SRT 392 has some nice features that I could not get on my Hellcat. For many folks the SRT 392 is a great pick because you still get the adjustable suspension and better brakes. But if you want to go to 11, get the Hellcat!
I don't see why everyone has a problem with what he is saying. he's giving the hellcat props and not saying his scat is better.

Jose Gomez yeah, he does seem to do that. I rolled my eyes when he said it was the same car except for the super charger. However, considering the 0-60 and quarter mile times, the numbers are similar. He's right when he says the car needs drag radials.
There's no acting lol...I tell it like it is. Initial impression was "wtf there's no traction" so I was trying to figure out how to launch the car as fast as possible. It's a little disappointing to see this car run the same 0-60's and 1/8th mile as my own BUT after 2nd gear is where things look bright for the Hellcat. I never said I'd be the most informative, nor the best, but I'm always honest.
RP Productions are you saying that your Scat Pak is an 11 sec car? If it is then it's better than both the Mustang Shelby & Camaro Z28 & ZL1. Are you saying that??? god this car is pure beauty at the beginning (sitting all nice and pissed off😘). Chrysler really stretched the capability of the 13 year old plateform(Benz inspired,wink,wink) and made it there own. I love everything about the LX vehicles. great job chrysler and great job on this review from a real moparrien.💯💯💯

Riley get this upgrade your Scatty. I know you could go from Scat Pack Charger to Challenger Hellcat with stick shift, too. I wouldn't blame you if you go for a ZL1 with auto or GT350 either tho.

good review but your car and a Hellcat are not the same but just with a supercharger a lot of differences suspension brakes and not even only that they have different engines was a 6.2 the other ones a 6.4
They're the same motor but the Scat pact is bored out to 6.4 while the hellcat is the 6.2
Tony Armstrong wrong... the block is completely different, the crank is different, pistons and rods are different, heads are different, transmission is different, gears are different, programming is different. A 6.2 liter block is not the same as a 6.4 liter block, so no it's not the same block bored over. Stupid.

Tony Armstrong where does it say the bore on a 6.4 is larger??? no where at all... the stroke is different, the heads are different, the crank rods and pistons are different, the gears are different, even the auto transmissions are different. If you actually broke down the block of a 6.2 and a 6.4 you would see the water Jackets are different as well. Re read your trash article.
The Engine design is the same. If you increase the bore of a motor you have to change the pistons andnother small things like timing and stuff like that. If you would read the article it explains how the hellcat uses the same motor as the scat pack but the scat pack is bored out to 6.4 compared to the hellcats 6.2 its the same motor read the article or anyone on mopar motors it will twll you the same thing

If it was awd it would kill. My Taurus has half the hp but pulls a much better 0-60. I can only imagine what a 700hp supercharged awd sedan would do. It would grudge race on the street and be almost unstoppable. Most likely it would take down the P100D. FCA get your act together.
If I'm not mistaken the charger hell cat is only available with the auto.

Yep! It's called brake boosting. Hold the brakes to build the rpm's and quickly let off the brake while stomping on the gas.

what about the damn drive shaft? they put in the same shaft from their scatpacks and put them into the hellcats. you instantly step on it, and you turn the driveshaft into a pretzel

hellcat chargers are hard to find I was going to get the charger hc but it was going for 81000 so I had to go with the challenger hc which was 67000 it's still a sweet car especially all black

8speed auto the only reason was because I liked the color they had a grey with a red interior for 65000 with a 6speed manual but I'm not a fan of grey

Phillip Berk it's sadly a automatic charger with a 5 speed the 2014 model I got it from. a trade in with a 09 challenger rt manual I got tired of driving in manual in the city of sandiego and l.a with stop and go traffic but I want a manual car now but I know I will get tired of it after a while because my hellcat is for car shows/meet/mopar fest and a weekend driver my rt is my daily
+R/T And Hellcat Owner yeah I feel, u luckily Miami isn't that bad, I daily a gen V viper so, it's not that bad. I recommend if financials allow, try to find some not too expensive toy to work on and play with that's a manual. Always fun to have something with 3 pedals, and u know teach ur friends etc.

You do relies that the hellcat and the scat pack have two different motors right....
all I see now a days is people driving Chevy camaro you hardly see people driving dodge vehicles but I'm really starting to like the dodge hellcat
Now film your car and this one going head to head show the difference in performance truly. Seeing the car from the inside makes it hard to tell the difference from the scat pack other than sound.
Darius Hammond , it's easy to tell the difference. The HC would put 3-4 lengths on a SP in a 1/4mile race..exhaust sound wise they are virtually the same. Both sound amazing just the HC has the supercharger whine. Personally I like the SP's N/A sound better

B Mack, lol.."ride in one". I've been in, driven, & owned multiple high performance cars for over 20yrs now. For me Supercharger whine, & turbo blow off valve sounds are bad ass no doubt, but I'd take a cammed, & exhaust'd sound of a N/A over them when it comes to V8 performance cars. Hellcats are the truth, no one can deny that, but I've heard 6.1's, 6.4's, & stroked 7.0's third gen hemi's with custom exhausts that sound much much Filthier. Sound of exhaust on a car is subjective, but for me when it comes to Small block V8's, Big Block V8's, & V12's Naturally Aspersion with the right exhaust sounds better than boosted
H Mack NOT! There's a reason why people in America buy foreign exotic car's. I'll tell you like I tell the Mustangs guys. LOUD don't mean shit if you ain't going nowhere... And if you drive around with the black key. You'll notice that the Supercharger is not as loud or whining as much as it does with the red key. Also since you're talking about camming, like it's not possible on a S/C motor. Maybe you should go & listen to Forza Stage 3 through the 4R Hellcat... Same Shit far as the sound, but kicking out over 1000RWHP... No small block aspirated nothing is doing that...
I think Dodge didn't offer that red interior with the purple because they have a little sense of style and know that that combo would HORRIBLY clash.

You can always boost ur scat pack and be faster than a hellcat.
How does this feel power wise to the zl1 camaro ?
This is much faster. I raced the ZL1 from a 40 roll last week and he beat me by a fender, I had the video on my Snapchat a couple days ago.
Dodge release this car with these tires on purpose. If you want to break loose then buy stickier wider tires. Still a great car and the fact it is a 200mi and hr car says a lot.
I got to review a 2015 Charger Hellcat and boy... does it redefine your expectation of what's quick! And traction from a dig when you put your foot in it? Forget about it!
The one I reviewed also had a BWOODY intake which made that whine even more pronounced, and straight pipes. It sounded perfect! I haven't been able to review a manual challenger hellcat, that would be interesting for sure. But one thing I found is that you really have to be a moron to put the charger hellcat into a tree. I found it point and shoot. Sure, you can't just go ham in a corner and expect it to stick, you'll spin off for sure. But in a straight line? She spins, she hooks and anyone who knows how to do a 1/4 mile won't get upset with the little steering input you have to do. And that auto just takes all the guess work out of it. Consistent... ALL the time. I would be weary to shift from first to second and second to third in the manual challenger hellcat if I ever get the chance to review that one.

I respect your review, but as an charger hellcat owner. Are you comparing a moded scat pack to an stock hellcat as first the cat runs 11sec on quarter mile and there is block differences and brake horse power that you mentioned but not accurate in your review, also there is the suspension as so if your car is the same i would guess that you have moded your headers + pipes +intake + differentials+ driveshaft + MT or DR tires not to mention the tune and lastly a small super charge with some upper and lower pulley to reach at least some 650 rwhp with a diablo tune ! ( maybe your 75 cent mod around your dash bezels gave you some secret hp recipe ) i will give you that , the only thing we missing are the front radar to make our cat is perfect and thats i give srt and scats a credits for , otherwise you should at least give an honest review , we still love your scat don't get me wrong but no HC owner will like what you did brother an especially hellcat forum members ! You get my point peace out ✌️

A lot of Scat Pak owners are going to run out & get a S/C put on their cars. And when you do, guest what? It'll still be a Scat Pak... In this World things are more than just a name. It's a value. If being the fastest is what sold cars. Then my friend Twin Turbo Mustangs would sell for a Million dollars & Roll Royce would sell for 40k. Cars & Value are not based off speed, but craftsmanship & if you where able to get past the exterior & the outside engine compartment. The things that people normally see. And go inside to see how all those moving pieces came together to make the Hellcat? Only then could you see why Dodge made the Scat Pak & SRT made the Hellcat. Cause obviously somewhere the owners of Dodge where not completely satisfied & they handed over their project to the engineers at SRT. Maybe you can't feel a difference cause you don't want too or care to acknowledge them. But when you hit a bump or jump a hill going over 165Mph. Then you obviously see the difference of being died or alive. Or having a Scat Pak or a Hellcat. Every car has it shine point & I guarantee that the Hellcat point is at high speeds. Any time your father hands you back your keys & say he will never drive your car again. Or passengers scream in excitement or cry to get out. Until you experienced that in a Scat Pak. There is no comparison. And yes, if you want to make video of my car. You're so Welcome to.

Ok your car is not the "exact same car" as a hellcat by any means so stop saying that and thinking that. Buy a hell cat then your cat will be the exact same car. Secondly it's not even the same as an srt8 because you don't share the exact same suspension upgrade that the srt8 does. You have a nice scat pack that's it. It is what it is. Not hating just calling like it is.

They are not the same exact car. Do your research. I have an SRT and that would be a fair assessment if I compared mine to the Hellcat since the only differences are Hood, Badges, Motor, and Supercharger
