When I found this 'Man 'o God' it was my greatest find. The 'motherlode' as it were; "a pearl of great price". I learned more from Bro. Pawson than all of my 60 years as a Christian. He has blessed me tremendously because of his knowledge of the Word and ALL that it entails. I can't wait to see him in Heaven and thank him.
I just love listening to him still. A man of much love and wisdom with a very unique and special gift from above to teach God's Holy Word. There is still so much to learn from this Man of God. We are so blessed to still be able to learn and listen to him

Often we ignore these small books of Bible but Mr pawson makes every book of Bible so interesting that we have to read it.

This man teaches what is in accordance with the truth for i turned back to God in wholehearted repentance after i watched David pawson preach and expose the false doctrine of ( once saved always saved) Glory to God for this true teacher of righteousness.

@@jamesmcallister9645 ok thanks , yea I listen to David Wilkerson another great preacher , and yes the lie once saved is leading so many to hell because they live in sin believing they are still saved
@@likeasoldier I know its unbelievable how many ( born again christains) are deceived by the false doctrine of once saved always saved , i can only speak for myself but i was so naive i believed in this nonsense of once saved always saved but Glory to God for it is written 2 Corinthians 3:15 But when ever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
( And that is what happened after i repented wholeheartedly to the Lord when the fear of God was put back into me after watching David pawson preach and expose this false doctrine. )
Another brilliant sermon named ( The judgement seat: Dismantling eternal security: A sermon by DR RB Thompson.) is a could sermon for any born again christain to listen to if they believe in the false doctrine of ( once saved always saved.)

It's the first time I heard of the death of James and knowing it makes me appreciate reading what he wrote...
J. Sidlow Baxtor, in his book, Explore the Book, makes a thorough argument that the James that wrote this was James, the son of Alpheaus, "James the Less," as opposed to the popular belief it was James, the Lord's 1/2 brother.
I believe that the timing of authorship (James is, perhaps, the earliest NT book written) is of greater importance in understanding the message rather than the exact James that wrote it (which is still important to consider, but not as much as the timing).

Lots of good info. I believe the term "Jew" related only to those of The House of Judah, the other 10 tribes of "The House of Israel" were not known as Jews

If James is the brother of Jesus, than why is it that, when Jesus was handing on the cross in John 19: 26 - 27, he did not ask James to take care of their mother Mary?
A brother does not automatically mean you are an appropriate caretaker.
Kwee Kiang Josephine Ng As Pastor Pawson mentions, James was later assassinated. John was the only apostle to survive into old age. Perhaps Jesus appointed John to care for His mother because he understood these things beforehand, in addition to having a special relationship with John.
James was only saved when jesus rose from the grave so at the time of his crucifixion james was not saved

+Mark Helligar Sorry, but in the original, there is no idea of the Second Coming. It speaks to the presence of the Lord, not His "coming". The "coming" aspect must be forced in once you've assumed that James is a post Crucifixion epistle. Apart from that one alleged refrence, there isn't a hint of the Crucifixion. The only Scriptural reason for that silence is that it hadn't happened yet. James is pre Crucifixion. rem486
