@@StrawberryStarfruit9 I personally like it. And the first season after the Jessie cast left I enjoyed that first season. But I don’t watch the current ways nor do I care to
Bunk’d is just being repurposed with a revolving door of cast members. That way they can keep costs low (no re negotiation). Bunk’d will be around as long as they have disney stars to cycle through it. It’s sort of genius.
I’m so upset about Girl Meets World being cancelled early because they completely tore down Maya’s character at the end of season 3, having characters gaslight her into believing that all of her growth and character development was just her “channeling Riley” and that she needs to start wearing cheap edgy clothes, be destructive, get in trouble, and not get good grades to be the “True Maya”-trying to erase all of the self-healing she had done over the series. She kept trying to say, “No, this is me, I know myself,” but broke under the pressure. They set it up as if in season 4, she would retake all her stolen growth and reassert herself like she _tried_ to do in season 3 before Riley shot her down, but because we never got a season 4, the show ends with Maya having severely regressed as a character due to gaslighting. At this point idgaf who ends up with Lucas. *Justice for Maya Penelope Hart.*
My Babysitter's a Vampire!!!! They left on literally the most dramatic cliffhanger, and I'm still not over how much I loved this show's concept and characters,,,,, so sad.
Lab Rats: Elite Force not only ended on a cliffhanger, but it also ended with Chase (my favourite character) being heartbroken and I will never forgive Disney for doing that to him
Exactly! I love Chase and I was so shocked when they cancelled the show. But at the same time, I think the show ended because it became less funny when Tyrel Jackson Williams (Leo), left.
@@BeenisweenisI for one loved the idea of EF, but looking back, I wish it didn’t come at the cost of Mighty Med not getting a proper ending. I will forever be pissed that that was how the show had to end
Danielle Fishel talked about what she thought went wrong with GMW and she says it’s that they were told it’d focus on the girls and that she and Ben Savage were only like an extra layer of assurance to bring in an audience and they were in agreement with that. Then they started pulling focus with cameos that they ended up with a show that wasn’t too sure what it was. It wasn’t allowed to breathe and build itself the way BMW had been allowed to. And it’s true. The older fans wanted to see the original characters and were brought back by these cameos, but the new audience didn’t know or care about the adult characters (as they shouldn’t have, they were kids and when I first watched BMW I also didn’t care about the adults) and it ended with only very few being happy.
i feel like they easily could have bridged this gap by allowing for a better range of story lines with the main four, and having the cameo's come in to give "sage" advice as opposed to just for funzies.
I think they could've done a better job though. Degrassi did a great job bridging the old show with the new one, with the new eventually just branching out into its own new entity.
I was a kid when I watch girl meets world and that's so true. I didn't stop watching of course, I've seen the whole thing twice, but they would bring in these random characters and I would have no clue who they were, and I really didn t care. I was here for the love triangle!
when GMW first started airing (I was maybe 11 or 12), I went and binged all episodes of BMW and loved it. So whilst I was really excited to see all the cameos, I had lost interest in the characters of GMW themselves
One show not on your list that honestly really deserved a longer run was Best Friends Whenever. Super underrated, I loved the time travel plot line and the friendships and relationships,I really think it deserved another season or two
Best Friends Whenever was the only time travel show or movie I ever saw where the time travel rules made sense. In every other thing I've ever seen, all the possible problems/contradictions/paradoxes that might arise are always ignored or unconvincingly explained away, which always drives me crazy! But Best Friends Whenever was always scrupulously logical. I really appreciated that.
i literally was so mad when i found out it was cancelled. like barry and naldo could time travel with the girls now, and we never got to see how that ended. lowkey still bitter about it after all these years 🥲
Just absolutely agree with this, honestly I hated the ending because it felt kind of rushed and it’s another one of those examples of really interesting story lines and unique premises being cancelled over other shows that are just more bland and for children, whenever Disney Channel tries to do something different they get shot down and there shows get cancelled, but the ones that stick to what is expected run for longer than they should, personally I think that should be the other way around, with great shows like girl meets world and best friends whenever I getting at least five, and shows like bunked getting to, but that’s just my opinion, sometimes shows can run for too long, but if they have a unique premise and good casting, then I don’t see why they can’t continue after the three season mark and best friends whenever didn’t even get their third season
I still remember the GMW cancellation so well, and how everyone campaigned to get a new season or move the show to ABC family (freeform) or netflix. It really sucked cause i think there was so much potential for the show if it wasnt a strictly disney channel show...then of course Andi Mack took its place and thats when Disney decided to play around with less innocent topics. Ahhhggg it makes me so sad. And ofc theres The Lodge. I know the creators filmed different endings so not even the cast knew how the finale was gonna end. I hate that we couldnt even get a movie or something to finish off the story. Why cant disney at least give showrunners the opportunity to effectively wrap up their stories :(
Since you mentioned that the "I Didn't Do It" friend group is your favorite, I'm curious what are your top friend groups on Disney Channel and Disney+? You may include DCOMs to this list or if you may think they deserve a separate video, it's up to you😁
It seems like, with the Lizzie McGuire reboot and Girl Meets World, Disney wants to cash in on nostalgia for their successful shows. Only they refuse to change their target demographic, and the age group they're targetting isn't familiar with the original. They need to let these titles rely on their own merits better, or start making adult series like they do with Marvel/Star Wars on Disney+ I think
Yes exactly, it’s unfortunate there wasn’t a Disney+ back then, because just like what they did for a boy meets world with ABC family, I think what they should be doing with shows like that, is once they’ve ran their three year mark on Disney channel, get upgraded to Disney+ either as a part of star, or a new sector for adult Disney Channel, you could have a section for Disney Channel children like G rated shows and then have another one for PG or M ratings, where from season four onwards the content would have a more adult spin, targeted to teenagers, which would make sense as the characters grow and mature, but it is unfortunate we didn’t have something like Disney+ back when the shows were around, I just hope they do something like that with the future shows, because I think it would be a great solution.
Disney has struggled with demographics for a long time, I think. Most shows remembered as iconic either allowed the characters to grow with the audience or ended before the audience outgrew them. Additionally, some shows just have a different vibe to them which would be served by a lighter or darker tone. The live action reboots they’ve been doing are another great example of this problem. Most of the successful ones worked by hitting a good balance between cashing in on nostalgia while not trampling on someone’s childhood classic. Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, the Little Mermaid, and the Lion King are really fresh for a lot of older millennials who would remember these coming out. Disney tried to appease old and new fans (same with Star Wars) but failed to pinpoint their exact audience leading to messes. Disney+ is such a great opportunity to offer something to teens who are too old for most Disney shows but not quite ready for something like Euphoria or Pretty Little Liars or even Riverdale. Instead, Disney is letting that market slip through their fingers.
I’ll never forgive them for ending “My Babysitter’s A Vampire” they needed either another season or another movie to wrap things up. This video is exactly y shows shouldn’t end a season on a cliffhanger because they never know if they r coming back & most times they don’t come back & the viewers get left with a 100 questions. This y I say put the cliffhanger in the middle of the season & end the season on a high note so if they don’t come back u won’t be as sad but I do believe every show deserves a proper finale *cough* “Victorious” *cough*
Honestly the one that upset me growing up was Phil Of the Future. Yes I know a lot of ppl here most likely didn't see that show but it always frustrated me how the show was getting a lot better by the 2nd season and it just gets cancelled out of nowhere. The show was so underrated and still doesn't get a lot of recognition. I was also upset about Girl Meets World cause yes, it still was the highest rated show on Disney Channel at the time even with its low numbers. If any show deserved to break the 4-season limit, it should've been GMW, NOT freakin Bunk'd. Oh and the Lizzie reboot never seeing the light of day will always piss me off
YES! i also feel like the slow burn of phil and keeley getting together was rushed bc he had to go back 😪. at least there was a proper planned ending as opposed to just a cancellation! also i still have a crush on ricky ullman
Phil! Though it goes against the point of the show, I would have really wanted to see them actually return to the future [Disney Channel sci-fi settings are very nostalgic and charming] or at the very least get some more of Phil and Keely. I don't love a ton of DC couples but they were cute.
Maybe I have miss read this, but it always seems like all of the really good shows on Disney channel that were trying to be something else, got cancelled, while the lesser shows that “ followed Disney’s rules” got so many more seasons and I never understood that, maybe I am wrong, but that’s how it always felt to me, with exceptions like wizards of Waverly Place and good luck Charlie. I don’t know why Disney had this three season rule, but personally I disagree with it, once the characters have matured enough now, I hope they’ll be able to push past this and maybe even have later seasons on Disney+, combining mature content in with it, that’s what I think they should’ve done with shows like girl meets world if Disney+ was around back then.
funny how all these shows started to get canceled (those in the comments too) right around the decendants era- there was this disney book series they were making too called “star darlings” that i remember crying about as a kid because they were canceled. because they wanted to focus on descendants. those books were my favorite :(
I heard someone actually point out that Disney likely tried to have some new I.P to make profit off of released Star Darlings and Decendents around the same time to see which one was more profitable hence why they both had so much merchandise and once Decendents showed to be much more profitable they cancelled Star Darlings to focus more on Decendents
Here are some shows you didn’t mention, but I’m upset about the canceling of: 1. Diary of a Future President. I know, it’s a Disney+ show, not a Disney Channel show, but I still wish we could’ve seen more of it, or at least just known the outcome of Elena’s election. 2. Sydney to the Max. While it didn’t have a cliffhanger, it still didn’t have much of a conclusive ending. It just felt abrupt to me. 3. Best Friends Whenever. The boys had just become able to time travel with the girls, and I would’ve loved to see what shenanigans they all got caught up in traveling together.
Bro I'm so mad Liam started liking Bobbie ugh it also gave me representation as a Queer Latino and my cousin seeing a brown Skin Latina being the protagonist like atleast thy should've given us a 3rd Season as a ending
I hope you do continue watching the owl house. The show gets even better and the characters are amazing and different. I think you'll genuinely enjoy it. The season 2 final made me cry.
Totally. The first season was very 'nice', and I didn't expect season 2 to be that dark, but I loved it! And season 3 seems darker, I'm not sure I still have tears for this season because everything in season 2 made me cry. The nombre of children that are traumatized... This show is really something! Everyone should watch it!!
@@amidoshi1909 I think the fact that it was “dark” was also part of the problem. It really isn’t a kids show, it’s a tween show. And tween cartoons don’t have a very big market in the US.
I'm so pissed that Disney cancelled Lab Rats: Elite Force. They should've either given it 1 more season or made a Disney Channel Original Movie to close out the show.
someone brought up mighty med in these comments and it needs to be talked about! this show was so freaking good even if you’re the kind of person who doesn’t usually like superhero’s and comics and stuff. i’m not that person at all, but the storyline is so good and just leaves it all unended! even getting the lab rats:elite force spin off where it combines the team with the lab rats, THAT CLIFFHANGER WAS EVEN WORSE!!! and the story was just picking up too!
Fr!!! Mighty Med was done so dirty. Disney clearly gave them a low budget and yet the show was still great, only for them to cancel it just as the show was getting into heavy lore plots. And then theres no justice given to them in Elite Force, like that show was more of a bland season 5 of Lab Rats than a half Mighty Med show.
In Elite force they ruined the characters in mighty med imo especially Oliver. From what I remember he wasn’t that creepy towards Skylar in Mighty med. But in Elite force he made me uncomfortable everytime he’s around Skylar.
I know, that’s what made it so unfortunate, because elite force could’ve been something amazing if done right, but it was just unfortunate that they stopped caring, because combining the two together could’ve been amazing, I guess it makes sense why it got cancelled, I just think that after the cliffhanger, which made me so mad, it was just disappointing. Although it wasn’t as good as some of the other shows that got cancelled, it could’ve been and I think it’s possible potential, is what really killed it!
I advise all of you who see this to watch Keyan Carlile's videos on Lab Rats/Mighty Med/Elite Force because I think they're great and represent my thoughts
Yes, 'Sonny with a Chance' and 'I Didn't Do It' are shows that I am extremely upset about them getting canceled. Even though the 'Sonny with a Chance' cast confirmed that Sonny and Chad would've got back together eventually, it sucks that we never got to see them get back together on screen, like documented on TV. 'Girl Meets World' was the last Disney Channel show I religiously watched and it had so much potential. I think the love triangle negatively affected the show because it was dragged out for way too long. Plus, the fact that Josh told Maya that she only liked Lucas because she was pretending to be Riley was dumb. The lessons on the show too, I felt like the writers were trying too hard to make the show serious. An example would be the first couple of episodes from season three, when the gang started high school. Apparently the lesson was that they are now small fish in a big pond.
I’m so mad that Bunk’d gets so many seasons when no one’s watching it, but great shows everyone loves get canceled. It’s a damn shame! Good luck on your trip btw
i COMPLETELY forgot that bia and the lodge were canceled! just hearing it brought me back to the horribly unresolved endings and how sad it is because both shows were so quality and had so much potential. like i seriously feel a huge wave of sadness like disney can’t flake on these shows that so many viewers love like come on just plan that before the season is made so we can have the quality we deserve 😭😭😭😭
I Didn't Do It was my favourite show as a kid - I related to Garrett (I think that was his name, the other boy in the group) and I still head canon him as autistic and/or dyspraxic since I felt so represented by the character. I haven't met a character with those same traits since, and one of my core memories of I Didn't Do It was showing my mum the show and telling her I could see myself in Garrett. And she told me to write an email to Disney Channel to tell them how I felt... I never did but I wish I did :(
I'm very sad about all of the shows being cancelled (or not picked up), but The Owl House cancellation really just wrings my gut and tears my heart out of my chest. It's so near and dear to my heart, and so important to me and lots of other people out there, and then it's also just really, really good. Like, just quality television. Such a shame
im honestly so upset at the fact that TOH got cut short. as a lesbian, every episode with the representation genuinely makes me cry. I just know that if i was a kid now and i watched TOH i would feel a lot better and would probably come out of the closet sooner. i dont want to spoil anything but *the* episode with the romance plot made me sob and i remember watching the rerun of it on cable a week later and it made me cry again. just seeing a wlw couple unapologetically on live cable tv just made me incredibly emotional. i hope dana retains the rights and does more with it
American Dragon Jake Long- the third season could've focused on Jake's dad adjusting to life after learning Jake's secret identity as a dragon. Wander over Yonder- I enjoyed the first couple seasons and would've liked a third season. Dominator would continue to be the main villian. Tron Uprising: The first half of the season was a slow-build up however the second half picked up the momentum. The second season had potential to build up on the last episode. Also disappointing that the proposed animated film wasn't completed. Andi Mack- I still would've watched another season since I enjoyed most of the characters.
my babysitter’s a vampire!!!! i will forever be angry about the cancellation and the cliffhanger of the last episode even though i understand literally nobody knows about it BUT i love it and am attached to it too much and i’m sad and angry not sure if it’s actually a disney show but i used to watch it on disney growing up so it’s connected for me ig
I think one reason for Bia getting canceled is also that it wasn't really popular in Europe like Soy Luna and Violette were. I'm from Germany and we literally can't watch it. It never got translated like Violetta and Soy Luna and it also isn't available on Disney plus to watch with subtitles. I think its the same in some other countries and because of that many people never heard of it. (And of course there also no english translation I think)
GMW being cancelled really broke my heart!.. cause it was fr my favorite tv show airing on dc at the time, and I really loved the way it was giving "life lessons" through each different episode, was something I really loved. Even tho they did maya so dirty with the "I lost myself plot" when she was only healing from her childhood trauma, and simply becoming her real self, I really wish we got the chance to see more of the cast evolving and adventures together. Also with the joshaya finally happening and being possible, I would have loved to see more of their ships in a next season and also the only fact that GMW was so popular at the time, so everyone was doing petition online and stuffs for the show to be moved into a new channel or taking back by netflix, it had so much potential for real
I’d love to see a video of you changing the endings or saying how you would end ten shows. Like, how would you have ended Girl Meets World or Sunny with A Chance or House of Anubis? What would you change about the endings or final seasons?
Oh I can get behind this video. I don't have much to say for the pilots, I remember some of these and being interested in them. Milo Murphy's Law: Season 2 kinda fell off so in hindsight it was a bit of a mercy killing, as painful as that is to say for me. I Didn't do It: What a tragedy. The thing is, the early episodes got a lot of hate from adults online, it was viewed as the worst in some circles and they were pretty vocal about to me. It seems the shift was to appease those people and honestly I worked. I didn't care a ton for season since it could be too mean but season 2 did improve with the characters being more likable. Yet it wasn't enough, which is a shame. Lizzie McGuire reboot: Thinking about it lately, I trust that they would made something special with this so it's a shame it wasn't allowed to exist. Girl Meets World: While it got at least 3 full seasons, it really felt like it got cut off and shafted. For its flaws, it tried to tap into mature stuff so it's a shame it was cut down to just the 3 seasons. At least we got Andi Mack right after. I have a few of my own I will always be salty about, this includes Disney XD: Mighty Med: The show was decently clever and the story ramped up with season 2 ending on a cliffhanger. That was not resolved because it was gutted for the Lab Rate Elite Force crossover spin off, which was a downgrade that no one seemed to want to do and THAT ending on a cliffhanger. This slot can be for that too but it wasn't as good but that cliffhanger still hurts. Best Friends Whenever: Another one that more fun/clever than usual and while it didn't have a big cliffhanger, it's still a shame it was cut off after just 2 seasons. This was around when they got really cancel happy., Syndey to the Max: This felt they were using to be more mature ala Girl Meets world in a few episodes, so it's weird it got canned like it did, and with no fanfare. 3 Seasons is fair but it didn't feel like it was for that long and I don't think it got a big finale. If we gonna talk animation, we'd be here all day but Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja and Wander Over Yonder are the ones I'm most sad about. Man this topic is a bummer. But hey at least we'll get 50 more seasons of Bunk'd!
You covered a lot of shows I have the same feelings of, however a show I really wish got the chance to shine would have been a spin-off series of Tangled the Series. It would have taken place after the events of Tangled Adventure, but instead follow a Varian focused plot. In this show, he would have been older and went on his own adventure, following in his mother's footsteps as an alchemist. Along the way, learning more about his family and his mother, he would make friends and face challenges. This would have not only allowed us to explore Varian more as a character, it would have allowed us to get more amazing songs with Jeremy Jordan, but also explore more of the world around Corona and other kingdoms. The idea was made by two writers on the show, and Disney loved it! However they didn't believe Varian was a popular enough character and wanted Rapunzel to be the main focus or to make it a completely separate character and world. They thought about it, but didn't agree as it's Varian's story. People are still creating content and fanart of this idea today. I doubt it'll ever be made as much of the plot was revealed, however I wish it got it's chance to shine.
There was also supposed to a Disney Channel show where the main character has autism. I also have autism, too. So that would’ve been nice to see a live-action series on Disney Channel or even Nickelodeon on that. Now Bunk’d reached 5 seasons. Raven’s Home is rewened for season 6. So if that show would’ve gotten greenlit and ended up having 6 seasons, that would’ve been cool!!!
I have two younger brothers and both of them have ASD, I would've LOVED a show about an autistic person, I myself am not autistic (as far as I know) but seeing that represention has always excited me, and a Disney show about an autistic person is something I'm sure my younger brother would love. Also if you happen to like medical dramas ABC (I think) has a show called Good Doctor that's about a doctor that had ASD and Savant syndrome I really enjoy the show and the acting is fantastic, Freddy Highmore plays the main character and he is such a fantastic actor I was honestly slightly shocked when I found out he's not actually autistic.
As someone who watched Boy Meets World before watching Girl Meets World, I actually prefer GMW ... like don't get me wrong, I like both shows and I especially love the Hunter centric stories in BMW, but there's just something about the main trio in GMW and their relationship is just giving me everything I could ask for and I even like what they did with Hunter in GMW, not totally perfect, but still I'm quite happy how things turned out. The Show ist perfect, some of the episode "lessons" are outright awful, but I just love the main three so much. I just watched both shows this year back to back (though I started BMW last year, it just took me a while to finish it), so I don't have nostalgia for either of them. I only ever watched a few episodes of GMW when I was younger, bit never really cared for it back then. Properly watching it now, with the added context of BMW was such a great expirience, it just totally captured my attention and didn't let go.
this is how I feel about My Babysitter's a Vampire the show it ended on a cliffhanger and I feel like we all wanted to know how it ended but it got cancelled :((
I am upset that Disney cancelled Gabby Duran and Best Friends Whenever. Gabby Duran and the Unsittables was actually a really good show and it improved SO much during season 2. From the way it ended, it was clear there was still more to the story, but Disney cancelled it too soon. Even my dad thought Gabby Duran was a good show (and he usually doesn't like Disney shows). Gabby, Wesley, and Swift are my favorite characters from the show. Gabby is confident and funny and I think that her character is the highlight of the show. Her friendship with Wesley is also pretty great and I loved the whole alien theme of the show. As for Best Friends Whenever, I just finished watched season 1 and I really enjoyed it! I see that it only has 13 more episodes for season 2 and while I haven't seen season 2 yet, I think that season 1 proved that the show had potiental for at least a season 3. Right from the beginning, the show felt a bit different than your typical Disney show - and as the show went along, this show continued to surprise me! I think the whole storyline with Shelby and Cyd figuring out the mystery with the lab and having to stop this evil scientist was what really surprised me the most! Also, Shelby and Cyd have one of the best friendships I have ever seen. Their friendship is amazing! And the whole show is amazing! I think this show deserves more praise and I think it should've lasted for more than 2 seasons. Thank you for making this video Caitlin! I hope you are happy and healthy!❤️
I was so mad when Julie and the Phantoms was canceled. As a queer person I loved the representation (quess my favrote ship) netflix needs to get there stuff together
Sydney To The Max. Talk about a show gearing up for a FANTASTIC next season and then just ending it. (Spoilers btw) We finally got to see Max confess his feelings to Alicia. After all this waiting, one of the BEST ships of all time (I stand by that) finally became realized. I would KILL to see episodes of them going on dates, going to school dances, and all that awkward stuff that comes with middle school relationships. Not to mention Sydney starting high school gives you so much to work with in terms of plot. We were robbed and I won't forgive them for it.
Best friends whenever!!! The boys could time travel with the girls and cyd and naldo liked each other, there was soooo many possibilities 😭 And YES Milo Murphy’s Law was awesome
The two shows I will never forgive Disney for cancelling are actually two Disney XD shows. Kirby Buckets and Mighty Med. Mighty Med ended on a HUGE cliffhanger with so many loose ends, but because of Lab Rats: Elite Force (the crossover show of Lab Rats and Mighty Med) it got ended abruptly. Fun fact one of the writers of Phineas & Ferb was working on Mighty Med. Kirby Buckets I understand, like, more? It had a better ending but it's final season (the season I actually enjoyed the most) left it open to have more to it and honestly I would've LOVED to see at least another couple episodes.
For me, it’s Gabby Duran, it got canceled after 2 seasons… ON A CLIFFHANGER, last November. I think the reason was cause of the high budget, COVID, and low ratings. It was actually a good show :(
was also sooo dissapointed bia was cancelled, the show was just so unlucky with the whole pandemic. I wonder if disney channel la will ever comeback with a telenovela-esque type show again ? kind of feels like bia is the one the finished the trinity so it feels even more unfortunate that it finished earlier than it should have.
Disney has a thing with contracts and money, I belive that makes them end after 3 seasons. If they have the 4th season they have to make a lot of changes, like for Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Liv and Maddie. Bunk'd is still going, I believe because after the Ross kids left it changed from a spin-off to a stand alone show so it essentially started over.
this might seem harsh but a part of me likes that they have a system my point is i don't know if sitcoms should run a super long time i'd rather have a show that does not overstay its welcolme
@@kelsey1467 I agree. I also thing it’s good for the young actors to not be pigeon holed. By the time we get to a 4th season, these kids are now young adults and are ready to move on. Most actors don’t want to be on disney channel the rest of their life
According to Wikipedia, when you’re explaining I Didn’t Do It that was called a “what just happened” situation. The part after that would be considered a flashback.
Two Disney channel shows I loved and that needed a season 3 are Mech x 4 and gamer's guide to pretty much everything Both of these shows were pretty cool and they both left on cliffhangers
Mech X4 was my JAM when I was younger, even if it was airing around the time where I probably should’ve begun “outgrowing” Disney channel and Disney XD. Sadly, the closest thing we have to more Mech X4 is the Zoom reunion back in May 2020. Gamers Guide was another favourite of mine, even though I didn’t watch it as much when it was airing. The main cast was super charming and I loved the idea of a gaming centric show. However, I don’t really want it to come back in the future (for obvious reasons)
In hindsight yes Girl meets World was CRINGE and DEFINITELY could’ve had some better and stronger moments. Same with Riley, I personally love and always will, but I can see why people don’t like as a main character (or in general). But I still think that GmW could’ve had some serious potential if it would’ve gotten the opportunity to tackle serious topics and would’ve gotten the opportunity to grow
A Disney Channel show I feel deserves an honourable mention is definitely A.N.T. Farm. It was so clever for its time and the Fletcher and Olive ship will forever have a place in my heart.
Imagine how long this video would be for Nickelodeon! Edit: Caitlin, I added two new Disney Channel videos for my playlist! One of them ranks every (English speaking) Wand ID or "You're Watching Disney Channel" bumper. The other is about how almost every Disney Channel sitcom takes place in the same universe! ruclips.net/p/PLDdYXCLMNKAGyz34_0lLrUGxHKjL6L9jy
One show that I so wish got picked up was the HSM-style tv series I believe was called Madison High. It’s a new school Mrs. Darbus was teaching at and she’s putting on a musical with all new students. It had Luke Benward and G Hannelius as two of its main stars. I also hate the "Arwin!" series didnt get picked up. it was a pilot of Arwin looking after his neice, played by Selena Gomez.
I think this is technically from disney XD, but I'm sad that we didn't get more Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures. It seemed like the episodes just fizzled out and I never got to see a conclusion to the overarching story.
Andi Mack's ending was so sad but also understandable Zombies and Cheerleaders is something I would have definitely watched but I also love Zombies movie franchise I have never watched Milo Murphy Law but I think I will I would have watched Forever Boys but it does remind me of Julie and The Phantoms which is why I feel like it would be good but it is okay I didn't do it was such a fun show and I love every second of it but I guess the cancellation was understandable cus it did change alot but it was so sad (it could possibly be like a more younger audience more hectic version of friends I guess) The Owl House I started watching but I didn't finish it and I definitely will rewatch it the fact that it did get canceled cus of LGBTQ+ kind of makes me really sad especially being apart of that community and finally feeling seen by Disney i didn't know Lizzie McGuire Reboot was cancelled I have been waiting for it to come out so that is so sad Girl meets world being cancelled was so sad and I do love Boy Meets World and Girl Meets World and it either needs to come back with a reunion, reboot or something The Lodge was a really good show and I did love it and I wish it did come back but I do guess it is okay and they should come back with a reboot or something explaining the cliffhanger and what happened after the fire and if everyone is okay Bia is a show I haven't watched but I have heard you talked about it a lot Bunk'd NEED to be cancelled if it is not already
I'm still so mad about Lizzie McGuire 😭😭 I will NEVER forgive Disney for cancelling it 😡 another show I wish didn't get cancelled was 10 things I hate about you - especially with how the series ended with a cliffhangers 😭😭 arghhh so many good shows, it makes me sad!
The fact you said "Number one is a show most of you probably haven't heard of unless you're a fan of my channel" and I instantly knew it's Bia without even knowing Bia was cancelled lol
Another show that deserved some form of resolution, even if it is just because the villain is such a great actor and it ended on a big cliffhanger is the Lab Rats & Mighty Med collab show
Will never forgive them for canceling Best Friends Whenever, Lab Rats, and Mighty Med. I know they combined Lab Rats and Mighty Med and it ended up not being very good, but the shows on their own were great. I miss them. Also still angry that GMW got canceled before Riarkle became canon, but I'll live.
Elite force could've been good but they didn't even wrap up the first storyline. So infuriating when they had two good shows that could've just done crossovers.
Here’s for a Disney plus revival/reboot one day since those seem to be so frequent it’s not impossible for it happen to any of these shows Also with zombies the reanimated series coming we have gone full circle The idea started as a show now it’s getting to be a show
I think they messed up with I didn't do it because they changed the whole explain the conundrum story type thing, the band plot was really random but the charm of the show is what held it together.
As someone who was super into Gravity Falls from the very first episode to the last, I like how it ended. I think Alex Hirsch said that he planned for the show to be short because he didn’t want the story to become dull or inconsistent because it was dragged on. I feel like I remember him saying he planned on two seasons and Disney said he could have more seasons but he declined. And im so happy he did because Gravity Falls is such a well written and put together show. A season 3 or even a short spin off would be great but im also fine with the show being left as is.
YES, I'm from Argentina and I was SO angry and sad when BIA was cancelled, mainly because we didn't get to see the end of many things like helena meeting her parents again or what would bia say to helena when she finds out that her piano teacher was her sister all the time lol me and my brother were big fans of bia so i don't lose hope that we can see a well deserved ending 😭
some people might not have heard about this show but one show that i was so mad about getting canceled was gamers guide starring cameron boyce on disney XD because it was getting to the huge climax of the show and then it didn’t get picked up for a third season and we were left on the biggest cliffhanger and even if it could get picked up and recasted it wouldn’t be the same without cameron and yeah it just made me so sad
I will never forgive Disney for taking away I didn't do it, BIA and Lizzie McGuire reboot💔😭 Like iCarly has been thriving so far and it is an amazing show for a good laugh for us who grew up with it. Honestly I never understood girl meets world, maybe their was something I didn't get, also I never really watched it fully because I was a bit older so I guess that's why. Hello from DR, I love your channel!!😊
I *THINK* that Sonny with a Chance being re-worked was done so in the hope that Demi could come back once done with rehab, that way the show stayed on people’s minds and gave the actors something to do, but that in the end Demi was just never in the right headspace for it.
I didn't knew that Bia was cancelled, I really thought we would have a third season... And I'm still waiting for Un Mundo Al Reves to come in D+ in my country, because I've tried to find it online, but I haven't been able to find it with subtitles or just in English, because I don't speak Spanish at all.
Does nobody remember Best Friends Whenever?? Idk if its in this video, i havent finished it yet, but god I'm still SOO pissed. It's to this day still one of my favorite shows
I still don’t understand why Bunk’d got more than 1 season. And once the Jessie cast left , they definitely should’ve ended the show
The left in season 3 tho… so why don’t you understand why it got more then 1 season?
@@montebeverly237 cause the show was lame. And it continued after the Jessie cast left
@@StrawberryStarfruit9 I personally like it. And the first season after the Jessie cast left I enjoyed that first season. But I don’t watch the current ways nor do I care to
i only liked seasons 1-3 but it went to COMPLETE shit afterwards w the exception of VERY FEW season 4-5 episodes but ian even bothering w season 6💀💀💀
Plus we don’t know about the long game with Maya and josh
@@Missmagazinebura- Nobody cares. Lucaya all the way.
THIS!!!!! How they did Maya will forever piss me off

My babysitter's a vampire. That cliffhanger was insane and I'm still mad about the cancellation.
it’s not a disney original
YES YOU’RE THE FIRST PERSON I’VE SEEN WHO COMMENTED ABOUT THIS SHOW AND I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE

My Babysitter's a Vampire!!!! They left on literally the most dramatic cliffhanger, and I'm still not over how much I loved this show's concept and characters,,,,, so sad.
Yes I loved it
Not Disney, but agreed
Yeah and they had a season 3 planned to that’s what hurts even more
Lab Rats: Elite Force not only ended on a cliffhanger, but it also ended with Chase (my favourite character) being heartbroken and I will never forgive Disney for doing that to him
Exactly! I love Chase and I was so shocked when they cancelled the show. But at the same time, I think the show ended because it became less funny when Tyrel Jackson Williams (Leo), left.
Hearing that just gave me a rush of nostalgia 🫣
Elite force should have never happened tbh. Like if you think that cliffhanger was bad look at how they massacred Mighty Med😭
@@BeenisweenisI for one loved the idea of EF, but looking back, I wish it didn’t come at the cost of Mighty Med not getting a proper ending. I will forever be pissed that that was how the show had to end
I'm still about Lab Rats: Elite Force's cancellation. They should've made a Disney Channel Original Movie to help close out the show!
Well that's true to an extent but I grew up watching BMW reruns on Freeform(previously ABC Family) so I loved the cameos. ❤
One show not on your list that honestly really deserved a longer run was Best Friends Whenever. Super underrated, I loved the time travel plot line and the friendships and relationships,I really think it deserved another season or two
Yes I loved best friends whenever
Best Friends Whenever was the only time travel show or movie I ever saw where the time travel rules made sense. In every other thing I've ever seen, all the possible problems/contradictions/paradoxes that might arise are always ignored or unconvincingly explained away, which always drives me crazy! But Best Friends Whenever was always scrupulously logical. I really appreciated that.
i literally was so mad when i found out it was cancelled. like barry and naldo could time travel with the girls now, and we never got to see how that ended. lowkey still bitter about it after all these years 🥲
YES
You may include DCOMs to this list or if you may think they deserve a separate video, it's up to you😁
Yes that would be a great video
Please do that list there’s so many friend groups.
The Lizzie Mcguire reboot was actually sadly scrapped,
Yes but Boy Meets World wasn’t originally Disney Channel.
If they wanted to cash in on nostalgia they wouldn’t have made it for a new generation so what u said makes zero sense
The Lodge and Backstage's cancellations absolutely infuriated me.
Fr i still think about it every couple months
Backstage was so good too😭
Honestly the one that upset me growing up was Phil Of the Future. Oh and the Lizzie reboot never seeing the light of day will always piss me off
Season 2 only which sucks
@@Missmagazinebura Sucks indeed, it had a unique premise and I still think it's one of the best looking shows on the channel
YES! i also feel like the slow burn of phil and keeley getting together was rushed bc he had to go back 😪. at least there was a proper planned ending as opposed to just a cancellation! also i still have a crush on ricky ullman
I remember blasting the songs and everything years ago I wanted this series so bad and for it to be discontinued was heartbreaking for me 😢
I'm still SO MAD about I didn't do it...
Also, best friends whenever was a masterpiece and deserved so much more time and recognition
Here are some shows you didn’t mention, but I’m upset about the canceling of:
I have so much angst to this day about Diary of a Future President 😭😭😭
I had no idea about the first one noooooo :(
i know i so wanted to see what was going to happen next on best friends whenever!!
Bro I'm so mad Liam started liking Bobbie ugh it also gave me representation as a Queer Latino and my cousin seeing a brown Skin Latina being the protagonist like atleast thy should've given us a 3rd Season as a ending
I just remembered Diary of a Future President 😭
We really should have gotten a 3rd season
I hope you do continue watching the owl house. The show gets even better and the characters are amazing and different. I think you'll genuinely enjoy it. The season 2 final made me cry.
Yes definitely. Dana terrace was also given lots of time to restructure the story, so while it feels fast paced it doesnt feel rushed at all.
Totally. The first season was very 'nice', and I didn't expect season 2 to be that dark, but I loved it! And season 3 seems darker, I'm not sure I still have tears for this season because everything in season 2 made me cry. The nombre of children that are traumatized... This show is really something! Everyone should watch it!!
Season 3 ep 1 October 15th😊
Exactly! It's really deep, dark and the writing is amazing!!!
@@amidoshi1909 I think the fact that it was “dark” was also part of the problem. It really isn’t a kids show, it’s a tween show. And tween cartoons don’t have a very big market in the US.
I Didn’t Do It would’ve made a great NBC/ABC show, their friend-group was really good
I'm so pissed that Disney cancelled Lab Rats: Elite Force.
I wished there were more seasons for backstage
Yeah that one hurt alot
I just know that if i was a kid now and i watched TOH i would feel a lot better and would probably come out of the closet sooner. i dont want to spoil anything but *the* episode with the romance plot made me sob and i remember watching the rerun of it on cable a week later and it made me cry again. just seeing a wlw couple unapologetically on live cable tv just made me incredibly emotional. i hope dana retains the rights and does more with it
what’s the name of the show?
@@burnoverme The Owl House :) it's #5 on her list
American Dragon Jake Long- the third season could've focused on Jake's dad adjusting to life after learning Jake's secret identity as a dragon.
Wander over Yonder- I enjoyed the first couple seasons and would've liked a third season. Dominator would continue to be the main villian.
Tron Uprising: The first half of the season was a slow-build up however the second half picked up the momentum.
The second season had potential to build up on the last episode. Also disappointing that the proposed animated film wasn't completed.
Andi Mack- I still would've watched another season since I enjoyed most of the characters.
Backstage, Andi Mack, Sydney to the Max, and My Babysitters a vampire are some other shows that I think were canceled TOO early.
When a network decides to cancel a show they should give the showrunners at least one season's notice so they can tie up loose ends
my babysitter’s a vampire!!!! i will forever be angry about the cancellation and the cliffhanger of the last episode even though i understand literally nobody knows about it BUT i love it and am attached to it too much and i’m sad and angry
not sure if it’s actually a disney show but i used to watch it on disney growing up so it’s connected for me ig
Also with the joshaya finally happening and being possible, I would have loved to see more of their ships in a next season
and also the only fact that GMW was so popular at the time, so everyone was doing petition online and stuffs for the show to be moved into a new channel or taking back by netflix, it had so much potential for real
I’d love to see a video of you changing the endings or saying how you would end ten shows. Like, how would you have ended Girl Meets World or Sunny with A Chance or House of Anubis? What would you change about the endings or final seasons?
Dude the House of Anubis was soooo good, it's so sad no one ever talks about it
Oh I can get behind this video.
I have a few of my own I will always be salty about, this includes Disney XD:
Mighty Med: The show was decently clever and the story ramped up with season 2 ending on a cliffhanger.
This was around when they got really cancel happy.,
Syndey to the Max: This felt they were using to be more mature ala Girl Meets world in a few episodes, so it's weird it got canned like it did, and with no fanfare.
But hey at least we'll get 50 more seasons of Bunk'd!
oh my gosh MIGHTY MED!!! so underrated but literally amazing
Wish you had talked about Best Friends Whenever as well because that show was great and also tragically cancelled after the 2nd season

Also if you happen to like medical dramas ABC (I think) has a show called Good Doctor that's about a doctor that had ASD and Savant syndrome
I really enjoy the show and the acting is fantastic, Freddy Highmore plays the main character and he is such a fantastic actor I was honestly slightly shocked when I found out he's not actually autistic.
The one that upset me growing up was Shake It Up It was so heartbreaking
Facts they kept playing promos for the new season and then when it was supposed to air they announced it's cancellation
At least (i think) this show had some sort of finale
I cried when the show ended
Properly watching it now, with the added context of BMW was such a great expirience, it just totally captured my attention and didn't let go.
this is how I feel about My Babysitter's a Vampire the show it ended on a cliffhanger and I feel like we all wanted to know how it ended but it got cancelled :((
LOVED that show
I am upset that Disney cancelled Gabby Duran and Best Friends Whenever.
Best friends whenever being cancelled destroyed me for weeks
I was so mad when Julie and the Phantoms was canceled. As a queer person I loved the representation (quess my favrote ship) netflix needs to get there stuff together
Sydney To The Max. Talk about a show gearing up for a FANTASTIC next season and then just ending it. (Spoilers btw)
We finally got to see Max confess his feelings to Alicia.
Definitely were robbed I remember them saying they were doing a season 4 and then out of no where got cancled what a shame.
We freaking love you Demi! We were sad but we understood
Best friends whenever!!! The boys could time travel with the girls and cyd and naldo liked each other, there was soooo many possibilities 😭
And YES Milo Murphy’s Law was awesome
EXTREMELY salty of how Best Friends Whenever was cancelled i enjoyed that show so much as a kid
caitlin you should totally rank the worst disney channel/nickelodeon cliffhangers
I actually haven't seen I Didn't Do It all the way through yet, but its theme song was undeniably a banger
Most actors don’t want to be on disney channel the rest of their life
@@laurenmooers1723 thank you i do have to say though i like suite life on deck as far as sequel series go it had the better ending of the two series
Honestly I'm upset that My Babysitter's a vampire got canceled and also ended on a cliffhanger.
If I remember correctly, Stuck in the Middle got a real ending and not a cliffhanger, but I still wish that show got more seasons. I loved it so much
A Disney Channel show I feel deserves an honourable mention is definitely A.N.T. Farm. It was so clever for its time and the Fletcher and Olive ship will forever have a place in my heart.
To your point about I DIDN'T DO IT. I've been saying that it's the Disney version of Friends. Well done
I honestly am so surprised about bunk'd getting so many seasons. Like 6 going on 7 just WOW
Best friends whenever
If you did canceled Netflix shows, it would be a 5+ hour video 😂😭
(Julie and the Phantoms)
grand army
Anne With An E (still hurts)
will never get over the society
Totally agree with sonny with a chance I was so excited for a next season but completely understood that Demi needed help
I liked 'I Didn't Do It' better than Friends. XD
Not even joking
Imagine how long this video would be for Nickelodeon!
Edit: Caitlin, I added two new Disney Channel videos for my playlist! One of them ranks every (English speaking) Wand ID or "You're Watching Disney Channel" bumper. The other is about how almost every Disney Channel sitcom takes place in the same universe!

I'm mad about Sydney to the max because it was coming to be something like girl meets world.
No one talks about the cancellation of my babysitter's a vampire, the show was left on a cliffhanger
My baby sitter’s a vampire, American dragon: jake long, and the Arwin show we never got to see
Best Friends Whenever was such a good show. I really wish it got a Season 3 :(
I had no idea that the Zombies and Cheerleaders show was ever gonna be a thing but I would’ve absolutely died to have more Luke Benward
I’m still mad that My Babysitter’s a Vampire got canceled
I just made that Raven’s home cancelling after 6 seasons
I think this is technically from disney XD, but I'm sad that we didn't get more Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures. It seemed like the episodes just fizzled out and I never got to see a conclusion to the overarching story.
I didn’t do it deserved so much better
I was so sad to see Backstage end; that was one of my favorite shows.
As a UK Disney channel fan I was so sad that we don't have disney Channel anymore it pees me off so much that I had to bootleg the owl housr
“Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything”!! It should have had another season after that ending
Andi Mack's ending was so sad but also understandable
Zombies and Cheerleaders is something I would have definitely watched but I also love Zombies movie franchise
I have never watched Milo Murphy Law but I think I will
I would have watched Forever Boys but it does remind me of Julie and The Phantoms which is why I feel like it would be good but it is okay
I didn't do it was such a fun show and I love every second of it but I guess the cancellation was understandable cus it did change alot but it was so sad (it could possibly be like a more younger audience more hectic version of friends I guess)
The Owl House I started watching but I didn't finish it and I definitely will rewatch it the fact that it did get canceled cus of LGBTQ+ kind of makes me really sad especially being apart of that community and finally feeling seen by Disney
i didn't know Lizzie McGuire Reboot was cancelled I have been waiting for it to come out so that is so sad
Girl meets world being cancelled was so sad and I do love Boy Meets World and Girl Meets World and it either needs to come back with a reunion, reboot or something
The Lodge was a really good show and I did love it and I wish it did come back but I do guess it is okay and they should come back with a reboot or something explaining the cliffhanger and what happened after the fire and if everyone is okay
Bia is a show I haven't watched but I have heard you talked about it a lot
Bunk'd NEED to be cancelled if it is not already
I'm still so mad about Lizzie McGuire 😭😭 I will NEVER forgive Disney for cancelling it 😡 another show I wish didn't get cancelled was 10 things I hate about you - especially with how the series ended with a cliffhangers 😭😭 arghhh so many good shows, it makes me sad!
The fact you said "Number one is a show most of you probably haven't heard of unless you're a fan of my channel" and I instantly knew it's Bia without even knowing Bia was cancelled lol
I’m always shocked to see Colin Bridgerton pop up whenever you talk about the lodge haha
Here’s for a Disney plus revival/reboot one day since those seem to be so frequent it’s not impossible for it happen to any of these shows
Also with zombies the reanimated series coming we have gone full circle
The idea started as a show now it’s getting to be a show
I think they messed up with I didn't do it because they changed the whole explain the conundrum story type thing, the band plot was really random but the charm of the show is what held it together.
Girl meets world, andi mack, elite force and the show that was gonna be darbus from hsm but probably we wouldnt have hsmtmts if we got that
As someone who was super into Gravity Falls from the very first episode to the last, I like how it ended.
I was sad when they canceled My babysitter’s a vampire it was one of my favorite shows and it was left on a cliff hanger
some people might not have heard about this show but one show that i was so mad about getting canceled was gamers guide starring cameron boyce on disney XD because it was getting to the huge climax of the show and then it didn’t get picked up for a third season and we were left on the biggest cliffhanger and even if it could get picked up and recasted it wouldn’t be the same without cameron and yeah it just made me so sad
Omg I remember this show being announced in 2016/17 called Right Hand Guy, and it just disappeared
I *THINK* that Sonny with a Chance being re-worked was done so in the hope that Demi could come back once done with rehab, that way the show stayed on people’s minds and gave the actors something to do, but that in the end Demi was just never in the right headspace for it.
I'm mad about Best Friends Whenever ending so soon, its one of my FAVORITE show
I didn't knew that Bia was cancelled, I really thought we would have a third season...
It's to this day still one of my favorite shows
justice for best friends whenever!! it wasnt disney channel's best show but i would have been satisfied with just one more season!
