This is a very nicely put together video which I found incredibly helpful and informative. After much deliberation, I have decided to go all out and treat myself to an Uber ride.
I think it also depends on the journey frequency, a contracts manager I knew had to fly from London to Barbados up to Arizona on to NewYork then out to Washington and back to London, it all had to be done within one week 😬 initially they chartered a jet as it just couldn’t be achieved flying commercial, before buying a 10 year oldish G450 when the need jumped from once a year to every six weeks
As a pilot and someone aware of the enormous cost of owning and running a flight department I’d have say WHY to own a private jet. Perhaps before the advent of such fractional ownership companies as FlexJet, NetJets and others it could of made sense for quite a few business professionals. Now however it’s an extreme luxury that from a true economic standpoint would be hard to defend. After all didn’t people who can afford this sort of thing achieve their successes by MAKING money instead of pissing it away ?
You should understand that the Jet is making you money. Not owning it, loses you money. It is the same as owning a car makes you money, because you can get to places faster and on time, instead using public transport.
Yeah man its expensive to own one. Now yesterday itself my Plane went for servicing and the mechanic told there is a fault in the engine costing me about $450K
instead of buying flight hours from a third party air charter operator under the fractional ownership program when you could be the operator (similar to COMLUX & NetJets) & user at the same time without having to pay a penny for charter!!! as an air charter operator you acquire a fleet of 13 Bombardier GLOBAL 8000 ultra long range biz jet & 3 brand new A321-200 Neo LR ACJ in addition to 2 Embraer LINEAGE 1000 E2 . . . and lend out the fleet to customers for charter under the fractional ownership & other charter programs!!!

If you only fly to major cities as part of your business activities, flying fist class on regular airlines may be cheaper then going via a private jet.
Thank you for the interesting video, I am working on starting a business, when I make the level of success that I hope for, I will buy myself a private jet and go for my full licence and type ratings to fly single pilot, and pay all the taxes where I live in the UK, I will hire two pilots and two part time cabin crew as well and look after them very well financially and otherwise so that when I am flying a relative or friend in the back there are two up front, if I'm going alone on business or to see friends on my own I will fly it myself and the pilots are there for when I have company or am flying a long way or helping charities and individuals with angel flights (I will give free use of my plane to charities and needy individuals) I will also take on a jet card for the option to rent a bigger plane periodically when my own is too small and am also looking towards getting the correct hours and ratings to be able to short term hire a small regional occasionally to take disadvantaged families on vacation/holiday by the bus load from the UK, USA and Canada, to places like Disney Florida, skiing in Aspen and trips to Iceland and Crete etc. Have a safe happy and well day everybody 👍 Best wishes from Scotland 🏴
Fractional does work for some. It is exactly a time share arrangement. The disadvantages of fractional is 1) you have asset on your books, 2) you have very little control over value at the end of the agreement, and 3) it's a rather "socialist" arrangement in that everyone picks up the tab for those who live farther away from the location of the aircraft.
While fractional ownership may work for some, it is a much more difficult arrangement to get out of than either a fully-owned jet or a membership-based program (like what VistaJet uses). At the end of the day, people with a need for private jet access need to do their research, read the fine-print on any documents which need to be signed and decide what works for them considering the benefits and drawbacks of each approach.
@@justinsimmonds5674 A place like here in Canada, there is no vistajet like company for domestic only flights. Lots of "and we do charter too" companies --- extremely varied quality with very old aircraft with lots of financial pressure to cater to jet owners. We do have Airsprint that gives vistajet like quality and consistency but that is a fractional company.
@@shadowmist1246 I see… At the end of the day, there are laws and rules which the jet companies have to follow regarding transport of passengers. This makes availability dependent on where in the world you are.
If you are really rich I'll save you 12 mins: Partnerships, Fractional, Lease Back, Own operate outright. The advantages of: *Partnership* - you share cost with some loss in availability *Fractional* - you get use of other planes so if yours is down for maintenance you have backup, but cost is premium. *Lease Back* You own it, let a Part 135 operator pay you an hourly rental to recoup some of your cost, not always avaiable. *Own outright* - This has risk but maximize availability, wear and tear on plane. Cost could be lower if airplane doesn't have a big maintenance event, scheduled or unscheduled. If you are owner operator (pilot) and want to fly it, cost are lower, but in the end ALL JETS ARE EXPENSIVE.... See item one.... BE REALLY RICH.
I fly a twotter for a living. If you're a pilot, you're going to love that aircraft forever. It is one of the best aircraft I've ever flown and I genuinely enjoy it!!
Quite a few private jets are registered to tax havens. When I see that, it’s rather obvious that the people behind that jet’s operation have loopholed the tax system of wherever they’re actually based at.
Thanks for this informative video. Exactly what I needed during the 'Chinese virus' lockdown. If Interested in fractional sharing a netflix account, holla.

I missed the last 2 monthly payments of my fiesta, why am I watching this?
🤣
I hope you were joking because that was hilarious
...because it is free to dream!
Lol that’ll be me in a year missing a Ford Fiesta loan repayment I mean the Gulfstream G800 won’t be for several decades
Just walk to the shop and buy it.
Ha nice joke🙄😜
Target?
The jet 🛩️ store in London 😅
Me watching this with 5$ in my bank account.
Donald Dump we gotta dream lol, hopefully one day you will laugh at this message while flying high
$19
.51 cents but I’m going to be buying a jet very soon! When I do I owe u a free flight 🙏🏽
Elon musk was there
Why do they sound anti ownership?

Lookin through the comments to find one person who really can buy one
There only a few of us the rest are here for enjoyment 😂😂😂
I don't know if I'll ever own one ... But this was very informative for when I day dream abt owning one !
Why would I want a private jet? I can fly commercial and sit in an absolutely packed 737 w/screaming children.
Herman A after being treated like a criminal by TSA
On top of a Karen staring wondering how did you get a first class seat when she was sitting at the gate for several hours.
And everyone pulls their face mask down to talk...🙄😷🤧🤒💀☠️
After watching this video, i decided to buy a bus ticket😅
😂😂😂🤣
Very informative video for those interested in pursuing private jet flying.

how do private jet pilots get paid? do they have a fix salary or is it by hour acording to owner's use of the plane?
Time is more precious then money.
@@geru3003 Salary usually. They have to be available to fly when needed.
@@geru3003 usually fixed salary, no matter how much they fly.

Whos Want TO Buy Own Private Jet?
I Have Dream To Buy One PRivate Jet,
Two Helicopter ,One Yacht And Some Cool Supercars With One Beautiful Wife
Jaydipsinh Parmar1 I agree with you.
Me too
Same here, but more lmao
You couldn't buy all that with a wife. Keep switching out GM's.
Buying a wife? I like the way you think...
Very useful and helpful.
Step 1: Be Rich
Step 2: Be Rich
Step 3: Get onto the Forbes rich list.
Step 4: Once you are on the Forbes rich list, then shop around for your jet.
Thank you this was very helpful.. id prefere to buy it for casual use then part time charter.
I wouldn’t want to just buy one and be a passenger, I would want to fly it, I’m hoping to become a pilot someday. 👍
@BlakeGrey I know, right?!
Look into getting a PPL
I can't believe I watched this to the end when I'm juggling my bills

I loved every second of this video.
I have $50 dollars so how many aircrafts can I buy with this??
Maybe a 0.00000001% fractional ownership share lol.
Paper airplanes ,probably whole stack of them
Buying a jet is my only choice.
My jet would not be up for chartering.
If you only fly to major cities as part of your business activities, flying fist class on regular airlines may be cheaper then going via a private jet.
Not wrong mate. For the cost of one private jet flight from London to Dubai, you could go in Emirates first class about 20 times.
@@justinsimmonds5674 yeah but you can’t have sex on that flight mate, well, possibly very, very ,very quiet sex if it has a door pod on that 1st class

Good luck mate.👍
Hows that going ?? Update us
fractional ownership is 1/6th of flight hours annually or monthly!!!
Very nice. Thank you.
Again, thank you for this information..
Triple F - if it flies floats or fucks it's cheaper to rent
Lmao 😂
But not convenient if you need to travel with little notice and you love designing and decorating your own plane.
My father told me that.
Except when its not.

you also charter a private jets

can I choose the female flight attendants? asking for a friend
Maybe it will be helpful in future 🤣
Become a billionare choose the company whose jet you wanna buy and just close the deal 3 simple steps no fuss no muss
If it flies, floats, or fornicates rent it. It's cheaper in the long run.
I’m at the closest I will ever get to owning a private jet: Owning a 3D-printed model of a private jet lol.
This Friday big euro lottery Keep fingers cross 4 me lol 😝
l am going to buy one not engage in all these other options
Lol, you have to be worth at least 200 million dollars + a salary of atleast 2.5 million a year
The fun fact is my cousin owns a private jet while i have only 50000$ in bank. Life sucks.
There is only one proven way of owning a private business jet - have huge amounts of disposable income.
Tax avoidence.
