👉 Join us as we mod & demo the cute little Tama Club Jam drumkit in 3 different kit configurations:
1) 🥁 Acoustic kit: drum heads by CODE, Meinl Byzance cymbals, recorded with Audio-Technica microphones: the kit played as "regular acoustic".
2) 🤫 Low Noise Practice kit: We're adding drum-tec pro mesh heads, rubber rim protectors and Arborea Mute B8 low noise cymbals to the kit, to make it a lot more silent & fun to use for practice.
The drum-tec pro mesh heads are actually not the most silent mesh option available, but they give a nice kind of "sound" to the snare & toms especially for more "real drum" feel while practicing.
3) 🎧⚡️ Low Noise Hybrid E/A kit: We're adding some Yamaha DT50S Snare/Tom Triggers and the Yamaha EAD10 module & bass drum sensor (which is a combined stereo mic / bass drum trigger) to expand the low noise practice kit's sound variety.

Aamzing video man- thanknyku for sharing. How did you record the audio, was there a particular DAW that you used to link the EAD 10 module as midi input?

The drummer is far better than the kit, hard to concentrate on the kit itself, lol.
Great video that compares acoustic to low noise options. Ralph’s playing is great as always! Please specs/info on the Meinl cymbals. Especially the ride.
Thank you Carol! I think the hihat & ride were Meinl Byzance Extra Dry cymbals, Ride being 20" extra dry medium as far as I remember. You might want to check out the Agean Elegant or Beast Series as nice alternatives though, I personally love those:

Didn't know you did acoustic drums.
Very nice though.

Amazing! My drummer is looking for a new drum set because our current one is SUPER old and it sound pretty awful. One question though, can I attach a second tom? I’m a guitarist and I don’t know have that system works 🤣
Van you also do something with the theme ‘brushes’? I play A lot of jazzy songs with my band using brushes. Starting with the TD 12 and now with the TD 25. Do ATV and EF note also have the possibilities of plating brushes?
Can you…. …of playing brushes? Sorry for my bad typing
I want you to use a sampling pad!
Amazing video and awesome drumming!! Are those the stock drumheads on the acoustic version? The Kit sounds absolutely phenomenol
Thanks Benjamin! No these are actually drum-tec mesh heads, to make the kit silent enough for practicing at home.
Please feel free to get in touch thrlough experts@drum-tec.de for further assistance if you like. Kind regards!
@@drumtecTV Cool! But what heads do you use in the first section of the video where you play with normal heads? I think the kit sounds killer in that section!
@@benjaminheldorf2912 As far as I remember those actually were the stock heads that some with the kit!
I wish Ralf will make a drum tutorial course.
Maybe I'll find some time to do sth like that in the near future :) keep an eye on my private channel digitaldrumming if you like:

Awesome video and playing, thank you. Question please. I hear Drum-Tec is the best feeling mesh heads I'm about to buy some and have them shipped to Texas. What is better, the 3-ply "real feel" heads, or these 1-ply hybrids that you're playing? Sound isn't a major factor for me (if they're too loud acoustically), as long as they're not TOO close to an acoustic sound level.
Also... what % of these played "silent" (no module) are they to acoustic? Like would you say they're 60% of the volume a "real" kit would be? Or even louder than that?
Thanks in advance. It's scary buying overseas stuff, it feels like you're really committing since returning them is no longer a reasonable option so I want an expert's opinion
Hey! You should check out our comparison video (it's old, but the Mesh Heads are still the same) -> ruclips.net/video/h9BJCdWRahA/видео.html

@@drumtecTV Awesome thanks so much!
I have big trouble tuning that 14x7 floor tom....
Does the trigger on the snare pickup the hi hat?
Hey Nick, no the trigger doesn't pick up any audio, so there's no spill. Kind regards!
arborea is an affordable option
Absolutely! They do hold their ground against other well established low noise cymbal contenders:

Kind regards!
Leise? Sicher? 😳
Hi Frank, was meinst du? Natürlich ist jedes low noise Becken setup lauter als ein e-drumkit mit e-cymbals:
ruclips.net/video/0sa10UImETM/видео.html
It's all about options! Viele Grüße, R
