Dang, I wish we could've seen you cut it. I would've loved to see the finished product. When my mom made her chocolate pies, we couldn't wait to eat it and usually ate it warm, and she always had to make two. Gosh we loved her pies!! But then we'd put it in the fridge to cool and thicken up. I tried making one like she did but something happened and it didn't thicken up, as it cooled. Maybe I didn't cook it long enough...I know some recipes use corn starch to help thicken it, but my mom always used just flour. I can't wait to use your recipe to see if I can get it right this time. I might want more meringue, so if I add more yolks, will it affect my pie texture or anything in a negative way?
You could add one more egg to this recipe… it’ll help thicken it up a little more and give you one more egg white lol… When I’m wanting more meringue, I just go on and crack me some eggs and separate them out… put those yolks in a little container in the fridge and use them for something else 😊♥️
@@yoyomi I’m sorry I’m just now seeing this!… I wouldn’t put any more eggs in the pudding… if you’re wanting more eggs for meringue…I’ve just separated some extra eggs and saved the yolks in a container in the fridge until I needed them for something else!😊
