I'm a qotsa fan from way back, and i notice a lot of ppl getting excited about theodore being with em now. Don't get me wrong, he's brilliant, but I'd never heard of him b4 tbh.. where's he from what's his deal?
bvdek actually same here bud. Been QOTSA fan going back to when 'Monsters in the Parasol' video made its premiere. I myself hadn't heard of Jon Theodore before joining Queens. Only thing I know of his past is that he drummed for the group 'The Mars Volta'. According to all these 'Jon' fans on here all the time, it's recommended to check them out (The Mars Volta) & you'll see why he was chosen as their next drummer. Now when Grohl played with em thruout SFTD lp along with tour as well, I was blown away happy as hell espcly since I grew up w/Nirvana as being my overall fav group ever. To see the past link up w/the present among my fav groups, yeah having Grohl on the sticks was mind blowing! BUT I gotta say that Joey Castillo is/was my favorite drummer thruout QOTSA history. A lot of people are on here all the time hating on him but idk I just think their performances overall sounded better than what they do as of now. There's quite a few trks that just don't sound as good now on the drums as what they did during the Joey days. Would've been nice though to see Joey breakout into more drum solos as Jon does during multiple trks on tour.
