As a person who just recently got into strive as my first ever fighting game, I really recommend it. Its absurdly fun. You can just spam whatever and get pretty far, and its pretty easy to learn even basic combos
never played any 2d fighting games except melee before my friend got me into this game. I agree with the other comment, it's insanely fun i definitely recommend it
I was the same, but it’s really fun and surprisingly good at easing new players into it. Lots of optional tutorials for the mechanics and online matchmaking doesn’t throw you in with the pros right away

Grapplers in fighting games in general. Big Band, Beowulf, King and Armor King. Best characters to pop off with.
