  • In this video I remove the bumper shocks and drill them out to snug the bumper closer to the body

Such a simple modification for such great results!! Too bad our x1/9's in Australia didn't get the hydraulics, just gave us sold tube mounts!! Looks like I'm going to have to get the grinder out sometime soon to shorten them!

Thanks, I like it. I think I can get it closer. The bottom of the bumper is touching the tow hooks. Gonna take a grinder to them and find out.

Nice video. The car is looking much better with pushed-in bumpers. However, bumper less is the best mod IMO on an X. I lost 25 kg, 25 cm at the rear, and 25 cm at the front by completely removing the bumpers.

Thanks buddy, eventually bumpers are coming off. Respray paint job is a bit buggered under the bumpers. I'll have to get the paint matched then get to it.

At least not metallic paint which is a PITA to respray. I have the solid "Corfu Bianco" 224 color and it was not very hard to blend in. Also, I didn't weld the holes on the fenders to minimize damage. -JB Weld worked fine.

Agreed, I'll take it to the paint store and have them match it up first. There's a lot of the wrong color white paint chip repair going on here.
