It's been a rocky start to the year for me and it's time for a little refresh. I think one of the best ways to reset is to declutter so here is a mini vlog where I declutter my art studio space and art supplies. 🎨✨ Let me know what's your experience with decluttering art supplies? Thank you so much for watching! Please like, comment, and subscribe. ❤
I looove declutterring/organizing videos, especially with art supplies! I just finished a week long project and now my area is a mess. The video really inspired me to clean up and get me excited to creating😊🌟 LOVE THE VLOGS!!
Hu Isabelle. I am a second career artist as well. I am working up the nerve to declutter my studio. But today, you inspired me to clean out my bathroom cabinet. What a great feeling to be starting out fresh.
I love researching, buying, organising/labelling/swatching….but I have NEVER had a desire to declutter or donate or give away MY supplies and I just don’t understand the trend to do it that I’ve seen on so many art videos lately… like…hands off my supplies, they’re MINE! 😜😂 Also, don’t throw away your microns if the nibs are still good… just refill with Indian ink… pull the nib and use a syringe… it’s waterproof and cheap!
i have been doing the same thing setting up my new studio space over here…just don’t have the patience to film or the courage to share …maybe someday. i enjoy having a cup of coffee with you and watching you draw. Thanks for sharing!
I had so much resistance getting started LOL but then it was so liberating. Now I need to address other areas in my apartment! I never imagined I would actually get rid of some of my art supplies to be honest, but now that I only kept the "essentials" for my art practice I feel more focused. Thank you for watching! xo
@@isabelledebionne I think having less clutter around me would help me focus more too. I have already started with the closet in my office so thanks for getting me started 😀 xo
This was great Isabelle. It got me to clean up my space... and mind. I actually am moving away from cross stitching and into more drawing on my ipad. I didn't realise how much threads and cloths I accumulated. 😮
I'm glad the video inspired you to clean up your space. I always seem to have more stuff than I realize too! Digital drawing that's great! Will you be sharing any of that on RUclips? I know making YT videos is a big time commitment. Thank you so much for watching!
@julep_illustration I know what you mean! Focusing on the drawing is a good call. You can always get into making videos later on if that’s where you want to put your energy. Have a great day!
I'm clearing out today with you, too. Always feels SO good to shift the energy of the space. Edit: I'm like, 'NNNOOOOO don't get rid of your sketch books!!!!!!' lol. But I understand releasing, as well. Edit2: Congratulations on 1k subscribers!!
@@isabelledebionnelol I saw that you kept them. Of course you will do whatever your heart wants to do, I'm more laughing (and noticing) at my own reaction to the idea of getting rid of them. :)
7:40 in the rare case i finish a sketchbook, I scan anything I really like and bin the rest lol I dont have the space to keep them once they are full, but I do regret tossing my graphic design sketchbooks. could have made some videos with them 😛
I did it even when in canada, I only have sketchbooks from when I was really young because my mom kept them or I prob would have thrown those out too 😝
I do find this interesting. Just recently went through my own art supplies and pulled those I don’t used to donate. I’m not sure who to donate them to though school, thrift store? Love your art work!
Yes I think a thrift store would love your art supplies! I volunteer at one; the supplies sell very well and the donations are usually appreciated (especially if you can find a local one vs national one, imo). Kind of you to think of donating them.
@@nwunnoticewhatyounotice6136 The only thrift store near me that I can think of is a Goodvill but now that you mention it I might see if there is a local one I can donate my supplies to. Hopefully they will bring joy to someone out there!
No it’s just water. This is a bit of an experiment but so far it’s working. The plant has been growing new roots and I’ll probably repot it very soon. 😊
@@isabelledebionne Wow I'm so happy for you! Even though they tare supposed to be such an easy care plant I think they are very delicate. I am new to your RUclips and so far watched two uploaded videos. It's a very nice channel and I like your bird drawing! 🌿

Thanks for watching! 😊
Always love an organisational video 💜
Thank you for watching 💜
Looks great. Always so refreshing to clean and declutter. Really does put you into a brighter mind space.
For sure! Thank you!

I thought about it, but I feel I need to focus on the drawing. Filming and editing probably wouldn’t allow me any sleep 😅. Takes me so long 🤦🏻♀️

I got rid of more art supplies than I thought I would, but I did keep all the sketchbooks in the end... 😉
Thank you!!

Oh do you really? I think tossing sketchbooks is a hard one but I understand the space issue! 😃 Great idea to scan selected drawings!

Yes, good ideas.
I'd you put something in the water of your Pilea to make it grow in a water glass?
