Pilot is based here in knoxville and has been for over a half century. The Haslem family has been a massive contributor to UTK and the knoxville community. Putting logos on the field, hopefully not massive and around the field as well as on the outside, is not a problem. Just wish Jim Haslem still own the company.

From Boyd, Plowman, to White the Vols have the best administration from top to bottom than anyone. It’s no wonder why the Vols compete at the highest level in all sports. When does a new player's raw talent and ability to make plays outweigh your safe beat to be in the correct position and spot on every play, but they aren't giving you the game-changing play?

Who cares if there is a little extra bwhind the name. Its needed to be abke to stay at the top of this new landscape of college sports. IMI Dane Davis is a key piece in the offensive line. Simply because he can play ALL FIVE POSITIONS....and people will get hurt. Probably be a good coach down the road. I think Gaston Moore would be a good replacement for Coach "Joey",..if at some point He gets hired away. Really it seems Gaston already is.. Random thoughts.
Wait until they see Oklahoma's interior stadium where there is LOVE'S TRAVEL CENTER logos every where from the Tom Love family a good friend of MR. Haslem who is the 2nd only to state of Tennessee in $ donations to UT!!!!!!
The Pilot sponsorship is no big deal. I like the way that they keep everything the same. I like it better that the Food City Center or whatever it is that they are calling TBA. This is nothing new to sports, Syracuse has had the Carrier Dome for years. Of course every Professiinal sport has this.
Being honest.. not a fan of Pilot logos being painted on the field. I don't have a problem with banners along the brick walls or signage in general. Sponsorship and additional money for the football program is a good thing in my opinion. They're spending 337 million in renovations to neyland.. that money has to come from somewhere.
Not the biggest fan of it tbh. I understand the need on the financial side of it, and Danny white is known for trying to bring in money but putting “pilot” on the hashmarks is kinda lame imo. I don’t mind a few logos on the sidelines or something’s around the stadium. Next thing you know there will be “pilot” on the uniform
That'll never happen lol the NCAA strictly prohibits any logo or trademark outside of the manufacturer's/distributor's and limits it to 2.25 square inches, I totally get what your saying normally I'm also against 3rd party involvements like this but this is a good thing, they are literally bringing in millions upon millions on top of what we already have more money means more players, better equipment, better renovations across ALL sports etc plus the founder is literally a VFL himself so it's not like some over seas company who couldn't care less about college football moved to the states and decided to randomly get involved in the buisness, change is definitely a hard pill to swallow so I totally get where your coming from but this is happening across all of college athletics
