- This Saturday the boys and I traveled to Bowman Gray Stadium, The Madhouse, to watch the gladiators go to battle around the 1/4 mile bullring! Enjoy the sights and sounds of our wild trip in this Vlog!

You're very good at showing all aspects of racing from working on the car, race day vlogs, to content like this. Very well done, we've said it before but you do an amazing job!
And that's the part that separate the racing world from all other sports. We eat, breathe and sleep racing. If we aren't racing, we're watching it, supporting local tracks, supporting our friends and fellow drivers. The racing community is one like no other and it's a blessing for those of us that get to experience it. I agree, LH does a phenomenal job giving everyone a chance to experience what we get to in our day to day lives.

I went a couple times a few years back, it's a hell of a show. The atmosphere is crazy.
You "need" to PAY ATTENTION, in Middle School, if you ever make it that far and if all the Teachers do not quit/retire, upon your arrival.

I grew up going to Bowman Gray! Such a wild shit show that place is. Extremely entertaining and different from most places 😂
I can’t imagine showing up to a race with a car and signing up to start and park. If I’m in a race car on lap 1 of a race, I’m not pulling into the pits. I’m racing that race.

Unless things are done, differently, at Bowman Gray, the race had not Officially "started", as "less than one" Lap had been completed, at the time of the first "Caution." A Quarter or a Half a Lap, maybe, but a FULL Lap......no Sir, not on the festering remnants of a Wet Dream, in an Outhouse.
Never a good night when your getting towed back to the pits by not 1 but 2 wreckers! Lmao!
That place is wild for sure! One thing I will say, the pits get just as wild after the race!

Landon most of these guys start and park just so they can run it as backup if needed. Needless to say anything can happen here. We never had the luxury of a backup here. Just gorilla tape and a prayer 🙏🏼 😂

When a cars don't compete the first lap you have a compete restart, that's why they could start a back up car.
I've probably promote 2,500 shows mostly at Franklin County Speedway.

That's still a pile of crock. A driver shouldn't be able to have two cars on track simultaneously. If you promote this as a legal rule, you're part of the problem that rigs the system and handicaps one car teams.

We saw a few nights like that at Hickory when we were running against your dad. Drunk, disorderly, and wrecked up car. We spent a few nights at the shop because everyone was too drunk to drive home. We also knew that we just had to come back Sunday morning to tear the car down and start fixing it.

Never seen so many “your number 1” signs flown at a track before. 🤣. They were probably flying those signs at me the night I went upside down and destroyed the 05 car. Worth a watch on my channel. The days before GoPros It was a dog fight for 1st
Start and park rides for car count is not a new thing. At Irwindale Speedway in California where we usually run, they would run PLM's with SLM's years ago for car count for the national championship. I don't remember if they were doing it in 2001 when we won the track championship, but I do know they were doing it in the years following. Great video, looks like a great time, I need to go see this myself!!

That’s a perfect legend car track never knew why they don’t run them there. Or if they do but if they do they should run them the same night as these divisions.
I never understood the Madhouse appeal, it's not racing on a track when there is no room to pass....great video though. This guy loves racing, even when he isn't racing himself, he goes to watch it somewhere else. That's why I subscribed....it's in his DNA.

@@LandonHuffmanRacing it just makes me sad for my local tracks like Greenville Pickens and Anderson which by comparison have terrible car count and terrible attendance. There are a lot of reasons for that, a lot of those are self-inflicted, but I'm just bummed to see where it's at.
@@RickyHardin Greenville Pickens yes, Anderson however seems to have turned it around and has had strong attendance so far this year. Not Bowman Gray numbers of course but still large crowds.
@@SLMdirtfan attendance wise, they seem about the same to me. Car count wise, Anderson does a little better. Neither of them are doing as well as BGS or Hickory for that matter.
@@RickyHardin Have you taken the ongoing "Plandemic" and the current , ongoing Madhouse,/White House (aka "The Binladen Administration"), into consideration, as to why Breenville Gickens and Anderson are not doing so swell?

They do qualify sportsman for larger events (like the 100 lap they ran on 6/25). Generally you'll see more start and parks in the mods on nights when there are twin races. There aren't as many when they have one big event. Personally I find the mods to be the most boring thing at bowman gray. 6/18 was an interesting night, of course Chris & Jonboy were only able to compete for the win, not for points in that second race where they switched cars.

Racing there not as good since the re-pave. Used to be able to take the outside on restarts and stand a chance of picking up a spot. But not now. Although it did get little better towards end of the year

Landon, I'd feel better if they did All American Points for Everything, including Cup, Trucks and Busch. I'd think for as Off The Wall the Madhouse is, Waterford in Connecticut needs BOTH a Tear Down and a Rebuild with all the Suspect Management and the Word on the Street is their GM Quitting Last Saturday Night.

You need to come film some dirt track racing and get ya a car going. Natural Bridge Speedway, Wythe Raceway, Friendship Motor Speedway etc..... Or you guys going to be at Ace Speedway this weekend? Lonesome Pine Raceway on the 23rd? Huge race at Orange County Speedway on the 23rd also. Or Hickory Motor Speedway the 23rd.
