This was game 2 so when he says game "2-2" it means the tie renders the first game 2 meaningless. But then he realizes he won the game and they go onto game 3.

Why are people blaming Doug for this? What was he supposed to do? Attack for lethal, or play around a Trap that no one plays and hasn't been activated once during the series.
If anything blame him for committing three guys to the board and letting Joseph get back into the game with Sphere Mode.

I do blame him for that. Playing against RA and putting then LEAVING three guys on board when you don't need to is a bad idea. Especially since this deck has all the blockers.

The text on blast held by destiny is a bit confusing. Unlike the other cards your opponent takes the damage first so if their lifepoints reach zero you win.The others give your opponent the victory because you take the damage first.

probably doesnt check if the second part activates or not if the enemy is already at 0 hp so you just end up winning as it deals the damage to the enemy first

Blast Held By Destiny deals damage to the opponent first, then checks to see if you have Exchange of Spirit in your GY (dealing damage to you if you don't). Because those damage triggers happen at separate times, your opponent dies before the second check happens.

Depending on the conjunction word used, the parts of an effect are simultaneous or sequential. As such a card that inflicts damage to both players can either inflict it on both at the same time (like cubic nova), inflict it on the controller first (like blazing mirror force) or inflict it on the opponent first. This trap apparently falls in the last category. If the trap had been og ring of destruction it would have been a draw and if it had been blazing mirror force MBT would have lost.
