I've bought three Eastwood guitars in the last year or so and am happily cycling through the trio as I work on my scales, chords, and songs. R.J. is a big influence in my wanting to play and play well. If you go to his site, his videos about his learning and practice processes are eye-opening. He shows that you have to be willing to work to get anywhere near his level.. no, that's WORK! So, I'm working even though I know, even with my Eastwood guitars, I'm not going to sound remotely as good as R.J. Hey buy a Rivolta Combinata DLX and you can WORK, too. Watch out, R.J., we're on our way!
What a player RJ can do it all. From 50s style rockabilly to killer surf inspired playing to blues to jazz. Super knowledgeable player with feel and class in his playing

Always, always look forward to your posts. Not just for the guitars that are demoed, but to listen to RJ Ronquillo's playing them. I like his playing and always look forward to whatever licks and lines he comes up with. I don't dare try and analysis why, but I connect with his playing. Very cool. So many of these guys guitar channel guys nowadays. Some are better teachers than RJ (and all play circles around anything I'll ever be capable of) but NONE of them have RJs feel or versatility. He always plays the right notes and keeps it interesting. I actually do want one of these sick Rivoltas but also still watch demos of other gear just to hear RJ do his thing

Neck and bridge pickups together (middle pos) sounded the best to me. Fantastic instrument (and playing, obviously).

This guitar reminds me of a Rickenbacker but instead of their sometimes brittle, harsh, & thin sounding pickups it has these meaty, classy looking chrome plated P90s. To be honest, if I could take my pick of a fireglo Rickenbacker or an autumn burst Combinata DLX, I'd be hard pushed not to take this over the Ricky. I really like like this guitar with the autumn burst finish. To top it off, it has a Duesenberg Les Trem fitted. I bought 1 of these for my Tokai Les Paul with Tonerider Rebel 90 humbucker sized P90s and that guitar plays & sounds like a dream - a bit like a Gretsch on steroids. This Combinata reminds me of a Rickenbacker on steroids and you really want one but I can't afford one at the moment. 😒

whats amazing about these guitars is that its a 24 freter yet sounds like 22 (at least its really close!) really round and sweet smoky sounding. almost LP like. also, that vibrato unit slays. its almost as robust as a gotoh or something, damn!

Hi Eastwood Guitars, I just recently bought a Rivolta Combinata with trem, so far, I am really loving it! :) But I just have a question, how do I minimize the hum in both neck and bridge pickup aside from lowering gain? Because even in clean tones, it has hum.
P90 are noisy from its nature. For example Suhr develope active noice reduction for their loaded P90 guitars which are canceling 50 and 60Hz frq. if Im not wrong. Anw try to shield cavity for pickup by copper foil and in worst case buy noise canceling pedal. Also is important to have very good guitar cable. If you dont like pedal then look around for P90pickup with noise cancelation build in pickup already. Its a bit hybrid P90 but much less hum. Good luck. Anw how do you judge neck feel, playability and tuning stability?
@@davidpopelka4073 The tuners on my rivolta aren't good, they snap back. The neck is fine, like a Rickenbacker neck, flat radius too so it's easier to play. But I'm a Fender guy so it feels fat imo, yet easier to play faster, compared to Strats and Teles.

Does the Toro Black & Gold version have a mahogany top or a maple top?
Anyone else have trouble fitting the Combinata XVII in the silver Rivolta hard shell case? I bought the guitar first and just got the case and there's not enough space to close the lid without forcing it. Seems like I have to convert the guitar to a stop tail piece just to fit it in the the case that will fit nothing else.
I have that guitar and that case - the tremolo arm needs to be rotated all the way round so it doesn't push on the case
What brand of trem is that? I just bought a hard tail Mondata vii and would love to put that on mine. Great playing, as always!

Riivolta is like a Gibson Les Paul and a Richenbacker had a baby.
My teacher knew Dennis Fano, the man who created the Rivolta guitars. The two were classmates in High school and formed a rock band (i dont know the name) but, played mostly Led Zeppelin songs. They're still close friends to this day. He even has a customized model of the Rivolta Guitars made for him by Dennis Fano.

Those neck inlays are ugly.....The guitar would be awesome with standard dot ones !!!!! And would buy one ...Looks too much cheap Chinese guitar even it is a serious guitar , sorry !!!!!

Chunky neck no fit....otherwise I'd be on it.
