Damn! that looked easy! I've got some 295/45/17 drag radials that might be doable, but not as easy as that 60 series. I have a nomar changer for motorcycle tires that i bet will work for this.
Sheldon K, it was mostly just for fun, I had done this a couple times before both times when I was younger and had no money to take the car to get the tires done at a shop lol
@@VenomGT87 did you wipe it off before seating them? I want to use your mounting method im just worried about the tires slipping on the wheel if i use too much or the wrong lube
LMAO, I am going to turn the tables on you bud, this Friday come on down to Cecil, there will be a nice show down including a Hellcat, 2 Grand Nationals and we might even something in your ballpark... a Ford ST lol Roads are clearing out as we speak, two days of rain followed by two days of sun and clear skies.
Cool man thanks for fast reply. Just got a 87 GN last august and trying to get all the factory bugs worked out of it. Your videos have helped out a ton! What tires/rims are you running on the front?
great work , maybe i will buys two replica wheels for front cause i have problem with center cap . two time they fell down cap in the street . is rear brake Drums ?
Thank you, the center caps are a snap-in style instead of being held by the lug nuts. I had the same happen to me 3 times. Yes the rear are cast iron drum brakes for now, I am switching to discs in a not so far future.
I have these on my GN awesome wheels, the car hooks like crazy with these... Its tight I have a 1.5" spring spacer lift out back with 2 air bags for traction. My GN is the one on the Gbodyparts.com website. Remove those 2 plastic frame hole caps both sides, watch the body of the car it moves allot if you don't have polly body mounts the body will move on hard corners watch the bottom section of the body fender closer to the doors you may have to give it a few taps, I switched to poly mounts and this solved this. If you have stock ride hight. you have to slightly roll the fenders, its easy to do. Just some tips these tires are big so you have to keep an eye on things. no two GN's are exactly the same My frame is tweaked about an inch and a half from too much toucher, so you may not have the same issues if your car is still straight lol my car sits so crooked lol. I also have UMI suspension arms so the axel is solid with no movements. frame clearance is about 1/2" give or take. these have been on my car 2 years. I plan on changing the gears soon to 373 since these are much larger wheels.
Thank you Franky, I didn't even think of those frame caps, I'll pop them off once I install them on the car. I do have poly bushings on everything because the tires I have now used to rub so I replaced all the bushings and centered the body on the frame which fixed most of it but it still rubs when the suspension articulates a lot like when pulling on to a steep driveway or taking a corner a little fast.
Hey where did u order the wheel from. Trying to get more rubber on ground for traction on my 87 gn. And will they fit on stock suspension no lowering? Thanks for the help man. I've been watching just about everything you have done. Keep it up.
Hey Venom I just ordered up a set of the GN replica's 7's for the front and 8's for the rear, up in the air about getting M/T DR's or the M/T ET street R's , Hit me up on FB please

DAMN!!! Now you have some major beef back there. That's great!
Once these are spent I am going even bigger...lol
You made that look to easy!!
glad you did this video on these rims. Gonna get them in about a month. and never saw a tire put on manually in the true sense lol. pretty cool.
Sheldon K, it was mostly just for fun, I had done this a couple times before both times when I was younger and had no money to take the car to get the tires done at a shop lol
VenomGT87 Hey did you have to notch the frame or roll the fenders to get the 15x10 to fit the rear?
Fit like a glove, if I lower the rear I may have to roll the lip a little
You are so ready for the Mad Max world when there are no more speed shops and petrol is rare! "The last of the Turbo GN's"
I was actually thinking something like that when this idea hit me LMAO
Did you use any lube?
On the tire beads, yes.
@@VenomGT87 did you wipe it off before seating them? I want to use your mounting method im just worried about the tires slipping on the wheel if i use too much or the wrong lube
rstormzand dont worry about it, just dont use oil. Lightly soapy water is fine.
Damn dude that's pretty impressive.
Great video, ready to for another round with a HELLCAT. I think so.
You know it, this Friday is going down lol
What size tires on your everyday driving wheels
275-60/15
@@VenomGT87 on the rear tires what's size u running on the front
235-60/15 front

I just got in 86 t-type Regal cleaning with 15x17 and I'm trying to figure out what size tires to put on
I am curious about the fit being a 10" wheel and 275/60's.
It will fit like a glove, these have the correct backspacing and the tire well is bigger than people give it credit for...lol
So it will fit on stock suspension? No lip bend?
As long as the rear end is not lowered, Yes.
Nice thx for the reply
How can you remove drag radials without messing up rims?? I'm in that situation right now
Use a composite general purpose tire iron. Should be fairly easy if the tire is de-beaded
Nice man. I need to get myself some drag radials but I won’t be installing them at home lol
It was more for fun than anything else lol
VenomGT87 definitely cool though that your able to do it yourself Though ha I wouldn’t trust myself with that but maybe in the future
Your going to need that traction when we race...I just pulled a 4.9 today.lol

VenomGT87 I've got tons of things going on right now..can't make it down
😂😂😂
Really like to see how these fit. Is your frame notched?
No frame notch, they fit perfect.
Hey what backspacing did you get on those rims to get them to fit?
They are 4.5 BS but you can go up to 5” BS

Both sets on eBay. They will fit but you may need to roll the fender, every car is different.
will these fit without the frame notch?
Yes.
Cool idea man now show us how you balance the wheel at home and put weights on LOL
By putting the wheel on your strongest finger, spin and close one eye lmao

Thank you, I forgot to add that lol
