We have a couple more to finish designing. As soon as we do that we'll make all the .stl files available for download. Hopefully that'll be within the next two weeks. We'll let you know when those are ready.
R1, R2, R3 (w/o borders) and straight piece STL files are now available on our website here: subhumanracing.net/carrera-layouts/ We are still working on a slight re-design for the others (R4 and borders for all radii turns). We'll let you know when those are ready.
Were you interested in certain turns? There are a couple we are re-designing so they are a little easier to attach, so not yet available. The ones for 1-30/1-60 with or without borders, 3-30 with or without borders, and the straight sections are ready though.
I know I'm watching this video a year later but did you ever make the custom 3D-printed track clips available and if so are they still available? Thank you
Love your videos dude, we have a club very similar to yours it sounds like. Doing a track rebuild soon and would like to make the custom guard rails. What software did you use to create the stickers? I also know exactly what you mean by MAS.
The graphics program is called Freehand 10. Like most of the software I use, it's old. I still use Photoshop 7 and MS Office 2000. There's a long story about Freehand. It was first released under license by Aldus software in 1988. In 1994 Aldus merged with Adobe, but because Freehand overlapped with Illustrator (2d vector-based graphic design program), anti-monopoly laws required Freehand to be returned to Altsys Corp (the developer of the program), which was then later acquired by Macromedia software which released versions 5 through 11. In 2005 Adobe bought Macromedia, thus Adobe once again owned Freehand. This time, however Adobe just discontinued the product because it still had Illustrator, which is now essentially industry standard for it's software class. So, long story short, Freehand 10 is the graphics program but no longer available, but illustrator and Corel Draw are the alternatives.
It's a standard pit lane (actually two pit lane kits). The entry and exits are on the straight sections then standard 2-lane turns in between. If you haven't seen it yet, there are more examples of other pit configurations in our pit stop video. Here's a link: ruclips.net/video/VV1fkprqvr0/видео.html
Thanks for this informative video. What kind of artificial grass are you using? I'm still looking for the right solution. I don't want to pin myself with the layout to much, but I do like some scenery.
Possibly window screen could be used on top. Not sure the best method for attaching it. You may want to check out Boone's Slot Car Garage channel. He's got a lot of great videos on scale scenery, including crash fencing.
That's odd. I just looked all around online including office supply stores and you are right, nobody has packages of all white 1/2" binder clips. It seems that size in white are only packaged with assorted colors. There are packs of the slightly larger 3/4" in white, which do work, but not so discrete. Possibly get the 1/2" silver or black ones and use one of those paint markers to color them. www.amazon.com/Sharpie-Oil-based-Marker-Assorted-Colors/dp/B008UGA99S?crid=Y2P0OFRYKPN0&keywords=white+paint+marker&qid=1676040306&refinements=p_n_free_shipping_afn_mfn:23598027011&rnid=23598024011&sprefix=white+paint+marke,aps,111&sr=8-62&linkCode=sl1&tag=clpllc-20&linkId=b0dfc5f88c80bdcc174c070239af144e&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl

@@tylerpaul650 Sorry, Tyler, I thought I had responded to your previous response already but apparently missed it. How many of the straight pieces were you looking to get?

Never done the Plexi, but if I were to, it would need to be thin enough to flex. And, if it requires a lot of force to bend around the radius, the methods presented here to attach it probably wouldn't hold. Possibly install it with strong double-sided tape or small screws would be best.
Do a Google search for auto racing sponsor logos. It should bring up plenty like Champion Spark Plugs, Goody's, Goodyear, Hankook, etc then use Save As feature to download them. When you get photo paper or full-sheet decal paper be sure it's compatible with inkjet/bubble jet printers.

Hi Robert. The Superthanks is much appreciated. For which of the radii are you looking for clips? We are working on a slight re-design on all of them so they a little easier to install, so currently the clips for the #1 turn, #1 turn border, #3 turn, #3 turn border , and for straights are done and available. Those were included in multi-color packs from Office Max/Office Depot (so we have a lot of colored ones leftover that we use in areas where they aren't too visible). They do have those in 25-packs all white but a bit more spendy.
