He’s already getting top notch recruits, in tandem to the massive pool of funds Miami has arranged, for NIL. Cristobal is probably the best recruiter in CFB.
That’s not the problem area. The problem Miami has is that the program has suffered a lost generation through neglect. Incoming recruits to Miami weren’t even alive when they were the program that beat the hell out of everyone else.
Combine that with a coach who’s notorious for making incredibly boneheaded calls and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
I don’t know what else Cristobal needs, to succeed. Their schedule is easy; they’ll be favored in most, if not all matchups. It’s time to prove his ability, or I don’t know where they go next.
I agree with both assessments! Cut, dry, and straight to the point! Mario has everything he needs and has to win RIGHT NOW!!!
The biggest problem consistently for the past 20 years has been development. Therefore acquiring more talent has been irrelevant.

Quarterback development might be suspect after the TVD fiasco. We will have to keep a eye 👀 on development at that position moving forward to determine if it was the lack of development or TVD himself. 🙌

Miami has best QB in conference, best OLine in conference… arguably the two most things to have on offense. Add to that, they have the most returning production from receivers. They picked up a running back who was all PAC 12 last season, and the PAC 12 was actually darn good in their final season. On defense they are very deep in the front 7, and have a great mix of veterans and younger players who have elite talent. The secondary is a question, for sure, but they have great athletes who need a chance to play. Ther secondary will probably get better as the season progresses, but until then, 😊it helps having a front four who will get to the QB without having to blitz…rush 4 drop 7.

Refs going to try to hose Miami. If you say I’m lying check the clear safety against Clemson and fsu not called. The same rules don’t apply to Miami. I’ve seen it time and time again.

Mario has the exact 2 season record as Randy Shannon. 5-7.and then 7-6. If UM wins 9 games he will tie Manny's record at UM (21-15) that got him fired. He is 12-13 now. Mario, has literally face planted his first 2 seasons. Randy went..... 9-4 year 3. Difference? Randy and Manny first time HC. And Randy did not have the budget that Mario does. I hope we crush it this year, but Mario is a lifetime 50% winning HC. IMO, coaching will be shown against UF, USF, VT and GT. Those are teams we have, on paper, better talent than. Drop one to any of those 4, IMO and Mario is a flop. I don't care about FSU or L'Ville. They both brought in higher transfer classes and they are good teams.
I could care less about the rankings. Stop doing less with more. We finished 9th in the ACC LAST YEAR!!!!!! GO CANES! Bring it against the Gators.
If Mario manages to get 10 victories this year, state schools should probably not bother attempting to attract the same young talents that Miami is pursuing.🤭

@evanferguson1116 lol. We won 7 games with dog shit QB play last year. At one point, TVD had 11 interception in 3 games!!! And that's not a typo. We almost beat FSU with a backup QB. Until he broke his arm and TVD came in to throw yet another interception lol

Miami is the perfect example of why the recruiting rankings are broken. Recruiting 35 three stars shouldn’t give you a top ten class. Quantity doesn’t trump quality.

Only to go 0-5 in the playoffs. The Sooners are never winning a playoff game. This is why you have to go from the Big 12 to the SEC because you've failed as a conference achor. Alabama, LSU and Ohio State are the only BCS championship teams that won a playoff championship; which is why the SEC and the Big 10 are the richest conferences.

No it's not. Cam Ward and Damien Martinez played in the PAC-12. Never played an SEC game; but, JD and the rest of social media wants us to believe that these two will soldier into the Swamp (Florida Gators) and come out with a win. JD has ZERO reality that Miami could drop this game simply because Cam and Damien are adjusting to playing SEC opponents.
Oregon State and Martinez throttled Florida 2 seasons ago in a bowl. Former fellow Pac 12 member, Utah, beat UF handily last year with their 3rd string walk-on QB, and nearly beat them the year before at UF. UF is not Georgia or Alabama.

Guess you missed the part where Miami will have the best defense in the ACC hands down and one of the best defenses in all of college football. Take that and add it to their relatively easy schedule, there really is no reason why Miami shouldn't win 10 plus games; yes, including against Florida at the swamp. Ya'll want to believe that Miami can't defeat little ole Florida at the swamp. Why not? Tennessee did last year.
