- This video demonstrates how to remove / replace your rear trunk struts on a 2007-2014 Ford Edge.

Tools needed are: Flathead screwdriver and you'll definitely need either someone holding the trunk up while you're replacing it, or a stick to hold the trunk up (we recommend having someone else hold the trunk up).

Hi Martin. Just bought an after market struts from Amazon. Successfully installed them but the tailgate won't close. When I checked, the new struts are longer than the original by around 10cm. Should I return them or just keep testing the tailgate? Will it adjust to the new length? Thanks for answering.
