I have a sizzix big shot but I don't ever use it because I only have one big shot big die, I purchased the Silhouette a year ago, would you still recommend getting the thin dies? Wouldn't the cameo do the same thing?

I too have sort of abandoned my Cricut and started investing in dies for the precision cuts. I also upgraded my cutting ruler to the cutapillar pro 3, cuts through paper like butter, I just love it. Jennifer, I've heard some complaints on the motor for the vagabond, some people's machines stopped working after the warranty expired, so I'm afraid I might get a lemon, but its great to know you are endorsing it, that means a lot. How do you afford all your supplies? Do you get a lot of donations or discounts? Its probably noted on your blog but I think you should mention if you are affiliated with any of the companies whose products you are recommending on your videos. Also, when you say "the best" you might want to consider saying "the best out of all the ones I've tried which are x, y, z etc. Whenever you guys post videos, those products sell out overnight at SSS and EH, also, btw. Why do you only post links to their stores? It gets kind of tiring getting excited about making something and the supplies are sold out the day after the videos come out!
Thank you Jennifer, I really do owe you an apology. I actually spent a lot of time thinking about what I wrote and how I was feeling when I wrote my message to you. It finally dawned on me that if I was doing what you are doing for a profession, I would feel as passionately as you do when new colors and products come out. I did take your recommendations to heart and purchased some ink pads from Mama Elephant, Avery Elle, and My Favorite Things and I'm really excited about it now. I always tell them where I learned about their products and mention you after I buy things that you show that I like too! You made me realize, the more colors you have the more fun you can have, and less likely to get bored with the same old colors! I spent a lot of time looking at as many swatch videos I could find including yours and then I ordered 16 new stamp pads that I really liked the best, and can hardly wait to swatch them on my SSS swatch cards that you demonstrated which I also ordered. And I think I will invest in that Vagabond, I have a form of arthritis that gives me a lot of pain in my hands and wrists so I think it will help a lot. Last but not least, thanks for clarifying everything for me. Its a great thing to be independent so you can say what you really think, I can really appreciate that. I hope the affiliations and consultation work sends more and more pennies your way, because you really deserve it, and your two little angles really deserve having you at home with them! I loved your son's video and your daughter's blog takeover! I'm glad you can work from home to be with them. Keep those videos coming, I look forward to them all and your continued success! Big hugs. Craftin Kate Re the Vagabond cutter. The original one had problems but they fixed the problems and made a new machine. The newer one is great. Be sure you get the Vagabond II (2). I use mine all the time and love it. Have had it a few years and never a problem.
How do you use the magnetic platform in the vagabond? I can't seem to find the answer to this question. What is the order. Or have you seen a video where Tim Bolts demos this? Thanks.
Whated to tell everyone about my metal cutting plate...I was using the magnetic sheet so I put the metal plate on top and guess what ...it curled my metal plate and it was a bear getting it straightened out again. wish I had seen your video before I messed mine up...;-(

Love the cabinet. Did you retro fit the drawer or did it come like that with the drawer? Almost looks like IKEA, which I love!
