There is no way this should be allowed to continue. There should be age limits ( 70) as well as term limits (8) years consecutive across the board in federal and state governments. General age limits is a silly idea. Many 80-year-olds are extremely fit and mentally acute. There have to be transparent cognitive tests for people in important official positions froma certain age onwards.
