When I clicked on this video, I didn't believe that there was a variegated pinguicula, but you proved me wrong! Beautiful!

Wonderfully informative video. I'm still nervous about dividing and repotting mine so I'm watching as many videos as I can to gain that confidence.

For now, I'm experimenting with Akadama as you'll know when to water once their colour turns light. While alot of other potting mix are great, you just don't know when to water and how much.

Peat moss is acidic but Dolomitic sand will help produce the alkaline environment they want.

I was delighted to see butterworts in bloom in Iceland at Thingvellir. So I tried to grow some of these outside in my bog garden in SC. (pictured in my “Garden of the Coastal Plain” video). However, the squirrels 🐿 unearthed the tiny butterwort plants I’d gotten on order and the plants dried up. That was an expensive 🌱mistake. Have a great day!

Perfect timing! I was wondering how I will be potting up the Pinguiculas I'll be ordering from bradsgreenhouse.com in the Spring. Thank you Brad!
    Have a fantastic day!

How does bottom watering work if her roots are so small?

Do you have any lutea Pings? I would be interested in more info on them. There are not many sources of information on them. Cheers.

Hey there! My butterwort is losing its leaves from rot, not sure if its from the medium I got it in or if I'm watering it too much (i water from the bottom once a week with distilled water) I'm going to repot it. Would I be able to replace the peat moss with coco coir? Do you recommend keeping the butterworts in an enclosure because of our dry winters? Mines out with my other mostly tropical plants right now.

Can you get by with just peat moss and perlite?

I love moss, you have it growing and spreading everywhere like a wildfire. I'm jealous. Thank you for another great video. Can regular horticultural sand be used with CP?
