Running crunch mode in 25w feels the best but is too low of a power setting if you're using a high gain mode on ch3 in 90w mode. Gotta drop ch3 to 45w mode or bump ch2 up to 45 if Ch3 stays at 90w. I also think that IIB mode should have been on channel 2 and MK VII mode should have been on CH3. IIB is a REALLY good crunch channel but if you use that, you have to push the crunch mode really hard if you want high gain sounds. I thin MK VII mode is best suited for mid-gain sounds. Overall I'm absolutely loving my VII.
Still trying to find a useful setting for vii mode , gonna deep dive this weekend with it .. may use an separate eq in the loop to scoop out the wooliness
Because the elderly people would complain that they HAD to have a high gain channel and the metalheads would complain that they HAD to have a crunch channel. This way the elderly can have two crunch channels and the metalheads can have two high gain channels.
Great amp ! I think this, an EVH and a Marshall is all anyone would ever need.

It's like the anti-Dual Rectifier.
Yeah!! Love that snarly mid range
Clean and Clear Crunch, I Dig it! - What cab/speakers are you running it through?

I am sorry, but I think Marshall sounds better for this type of music, Ozzy Osbourne, GnR...
Use Your Illusions One and Two were Marshall and Mesa Mark IV mixed. Still my favorite Slash sound.
Why tf didn't they put the Mark VII mode in the third channel and the IIB mode in the second? Dumb decision on Mesa's part imo.
