I love traveling solo. Did loads of it in my 20s. I never knew how much traveling solo was odd to others until I started traveling for work and would just go out on my own adventures and my co workers would think I was so odd and fearless. I am grateful for my adventures.

Note, the US Dept of State just changed Morocco’s advisory to a “Level 2- Exercise Increased Caution” in April due to threats. Some other countries that are “Level 2” are Jamaica, Mexico, France, Italy, Spain etc. “Level 3” is “Reconsider Travel” & “Level 4” is “Do Not Travel.” This doesn’t change any of my opinions in the video.. I would just say be extra aware of your surroundings. :)

I always appreciate videos like this because it gives a unique perspective of someone who has been and can give good safe advice. You can be unsafe in downtown Dallas where I live its all a matter of being smart and not putting yourself in bad situations.

**Some advices for you for save your travel and you life :

Morocco is safe just two advices for the tourists: (part one)
1-make your bag on front of you in the souks (the old markets and Médina) becaus there are a lot of crowds ;)

    - (just for information north of Morocco is cold febrary so listen travel vlogers start every time your travel tour with the
south of Morocco like Agadir city is much better than coldness in the north (she is at 1000 Klm to the south)
summer in Agadir city start in April lool just a waww gift :)
but north stil good for the romantic tourists espeçialy cities like chefchawen, tanger, Assillah and Tetawen city)

-take always the luxuos compagny of bus if you wanna go to chefchawen city or other cities like CTM compagny
becaus the other compagnies stop too much every time n the road CTM bus no never

-don't use your expansive camera's vlog into the sand storm of desert, film with your phone if you can or use your sheap camera
if you can becaus sand is bad for some brand like G7X

2-keep your paper and your expensive things like joilery with you in your smal bag in the plane, who knows may be your suitcases will
be lost. becaus you have to waiting to give them back after by the airoport direction.
-keep your passport into the hotel may be you forget your hand bag in the full colors magic shops of the old cities
-you should never never make your smartphone or your passport in the pockets of your bag-back and after you put it on your back.
becaus it's like you tell them hey lazy gentleman (theives) steal me, this is a my Christmas gift for you pick my 700
dollars I phone and my 300 dollars cash
even some body tourist was with you in travel group thez will pickpocketing it from you them self.
too every things can be fall in the
    crowds.
So don't come back complain after... (Don't be an idiot)
-keep your smart phone in purse or in your jacket's interrior pockets.
-don't show your expensive smart phone in the popular neighborhood of Casablanca city and Salé city because some ados there
are curious about smart stuffs and may be they can bother you a little bit you know devil is not innocent ;)
-Fez city in the crowded popular streets you don't have to worry, but don't get into some empty street when it's really
dark after mednight (after 2:00 night )
-People of fez are a little poor
if some one show you the way to your riad he may be wil to demand you some money (tips)
so show some peace and love and understanding with some caces becaus the most of them live with one dollars a day
and some family live with 2 dollars a day but you find always smile on their faces
-especialy the ados they tought that every tourist is very rich haha :)
    *globale note :
-We are agree now i think!! so just do that (the two advices) and don't care for the next 15 advices because the next
advices it's just a bonus and i guarantee you a good travel
*Morocco is one of the best safest countries in the world for some reasons :
-morocco is not in the middle east like we imagine but he's in the extrem nort west of africa lool
-Morocco has the most controlled border in the world and the longest controlled wall in the world 2400 klm
this wall took over 8 years of construction to bult it surrounds all the land and desert of the kingdom of morocco
it's 900 % more controled than of usa borders :)
-Morocco has the best controlled desert in the world a check post every klm with high technologies and a millions Mines
-Morocco has the third best security intelligence in the world but the best flexibility, Proactive talented world wide
-For the rest part of the country north, south, west or east you are completly safe
-all the atlas mountains of morocco are totaly safe. there is three series of Atlas mountains famous world wide
the small series, the middle series, the big series and finaly the fourth series called the Rif in the north
haha yes thers is number four becaus there is always some thing more in morocco and more hiden stuffs every where ;)
-so that's why Morocco is the most safest country in africa and better than south of America, and south of europe
-too becaus any Moroccan city exist in the top list of pickpockest cities, europe has 9 cities on the top of this list
-for exmple there is 250000 cases of pickpockets only in Paris. per a year, 2000 of thoses victim are american
-some african pickpockets gangs try to export this bad attitud from paris and europe to Marrakech
-(Morocco is in the rank 35 on / 197 countries about safest country in the world but after what happend in france and europe
i think he's in the rank 25 now) and much better than usa so far with 13 points
**-( for americans you don't have to be worry as much lool Morocco has Zero gun's shop and market :D
so you don't have care for your kids aloso we don't have 360 millions peer of guns here like usa lool
one guns sold every second is usa that's look very strange for moroccan people :)
it's a huge number yes so different culture. i know it's too much but usa is a great country and we love usa people.
-there is no rap in Morocco, no grope, no harrasment, no kidnap, no murder incident, no guns markets. some compliments
for blondes yes lool becaus people here find blondes attractif normal thers no too much here
-no cokaine war gangs in Morocco, smoke some soft stuffs like that yes ;)
-cities like Rio, Caraccas, South africa, Mexico, chicago and all their storys look strange for Morocco :)
-Two cities do not go in Morocco : Kenitra city and Sale city becaus of noises, little dirty, rude ados and such an
amateur pick-pockets but not much and those cities are not a touristic cities furtunatly :)
3-Don't care about sellers. those men love just joking with the tourists and they usually do that to bring attention of the tourists
-the same thing for the servers of Marrakech city open air restaurant. some times they touch the tourist for the same reason
just to bring attention it's their attutide to show their welcoming and kidding with ....
that kind of approches doesn't mean harrasment for them and they don't know that.
-the servers of restaurant of jema lefna square they stop some times tourists in the middle of the street to welcoming so get ready
-there is a modern city in marrakech called Gueliz go there if you don't like crowds and old medina. it's totaly safe and quiet
you find there Mc do, kfc, mall etc ..
-Some shop sellers can be a little rude when you photographe them without their permissions it's depend of his humeur and may
be he will demand you to delete the photo or money at change. Some times they feel so seek to be photographed all the day
by a million tourists without sold any things that's all
4-Before to buy any things you have to know that : the meeting of the good deals about good prices is a national sport in
the souks and markets in Morocco, you should negotiate every price.
so try to make always a good deal in the souks and don't be shy becaus it's normal for expl for a bag of 20 dollars give
him 10 dollars yes give always the half price after do seems like you get out from his shop and wait for his reaction.
it's normal to demand more for tourist becaus they earn just 50 cent us dollars or 2 dollars for each artisanal product with the
national (poor) people like Sandals, Babouch. Not like in france, french people give value for every product.
they can sell you any things with a high price in a nice package.
so that's why moroccan sellers they try to demand more for the tourists it's the only chance for them in the year to make
some money for devlopped their business and too becaus some shop has charges more than ...
any why even you paye double price this product still always very sheap
becaus there is a thousands of womans in the mountains try hard for a long hours to make this product for you and they
    always live in pauvrety.
-just one number explain you all; morocco sold 30 million dollars of artisanal product Germany export 1400 billion dollars
that's all the story about this famous subject of the price product in Marrakech souks.
-Of course Nothing happen in Denmark or Finland it's normal becaus 40 % of the people doesn't live with 2 dollars a day
no monkeys no sellers noises nothing lool ;) so some understanding
5-Don't give more than 1 or 2 dollars to the accrobats, gnawa musiciens or to the master snakes of Jamaâ Lefna place in marrakech
if you take a photo with them if you want give them more do it becaus they have any assurance ans the most of them live in one room with his wife and his children

Travelling by yourself, and having alone time, can help you get to know yourself. It's mediating.

    Jamie Banks
i have to give them the part two too :) thinks for your kidness
part 2 *Some advices for you for save your travel and you life : part two :
5-Don't paye more than 7 or 10 dollars for Henné woman (local tatoe for hands) it's depend your generousity
that's cost 20 dollars in the speçial buliding of henée
_Don't let any one to be your guide they say it's for free, but at the end it's not specialy guys with bad teeths lol ;)
if you are lost in the old Medina demand to the childs they gonna help you for free or demand to a respectful person
-if some sellers talk to you tell them with a smile that's nice but thanks i don't have money with me now
6-Moroccan restaurants charge mineral watter and and some times breathe too so don't touch mineral water if you wont command just normal watter (drink just normal watter) one litre bottle of mineral watter is expensive in moroccan restaurant. so bye it from the shop. bottle of 1 litres f good mineral watter cost 40 cent. 2 litres cost 60 cent.
but there is brands more sheap than thoses
-Don't pay small taxi more than price in the machine counter. but you should pay double after 21 pm of the night
-Some arabic origine people of morocco love win money because the arabic origine people is not like the berber
origine people or black people of south of morocco like (warzazette city for exemple).the people of the middle of morocco
are a little rude more than the others part of land of morocco.
-Don't care for curiosity of moroccan people the most of them look just to kidding with you (their culture)
-no guns markets no kidnap no rape no terrorism in morocco
7-Move 4 hours befor your plane if you have to take a train becaus some times some come late
8-if the budget of your travel is so limited don't spend much money for any things like stay in the most luxuous riyads or eat in a luxuous restaurants or sleeping in a 5 star's hotel and palace

-if you are a beginner vloger or a poor youtuber like my sister lool don't blame prices in Morocco ;) go india, bangladesh or thailand first but if you want eat 1 dollar's sandwish or drink 2 cups of harrira for one dollars or take 20 dollar's room hotel a night or live like a king in a 50 dollar's riad a night it's fine you are in the right place to be happy :) may be the best place on earth like Winston Churchill told
9-Do your selves a huge favor rent a car, driving in Morocco is not difficult. morocco has the most good high ways in africa
The trains are good too but some times train arrive late but not evey time. (just 10% per cent of them)
10-hotels in Morocco are a little expensive than India or Thailand especialy 5 stars becaus they are a real 5 stars hotel, but if you want shoose Riad the riads are good,3 star's hotel and 4 star's hotels are good too
so don't shoose every time the classy one. the simply things can be more happier than the expensive things.
11-take always the luxury compagny of bus like (CTM) not the lowcost bus becaus the sellers go up to the lowcost
bus, may be beaggars too... (some times) lool especialy the road to sherchawen of rent a care.
12-there is 2 kind of big taxi in morocco, the luxe one for the airoport and hotels 4 dollars and more
and the normal one for the people 50 cent to 1 dollars
the luxe one take just tourist from the airoport and the hotel is big Mercedess 250
and the populare one take 6 person one time is a little thin brand Mercedess 240 or some french brand
-about the small taxi you can paye 1 dollars to 2 dollars it deppend on the circuit (the ride) but after 20:00 or 21:00 you have to paye double price at the night
13-if you don't like the stress of Marrakech go to warzazette city so near or Essaouira city. there is no sellers there
or cars :) a peaceful cities or assillah city in the north
14-the most kindest people of Morocco is the people of Warzazette city, Essaouira city, assillah city
15-life is very sheap in Morocco for expl taxis 1 to 2 dollars for the same klm you pay 50 dollars in NYC.
8 Breads cost 1 dollars, 2 to 5 kilo of vegetabels cost 1 dollars. fruts one kilos cost 70 cent like bannana or apple

I think it's pretty similar to the rest of Morocco. I would go and follow normal travel/ safety advice, using street smarts, not walking alone in dark alleyways, not walking alone at night etc. These are things I would do no matter where I was in the world. If you do that and have your wits about you, it should be fine! I would also read reviews from the accommodation you are staying at and make sure it is ok. I felt safe at both the hotel & hostel I stayed at in Casablanca. I think I linked them in the description, if not let me know :) I am replying from a different window. :)

Morocco is a nice country but if you don’t dress appropriately it might not be good.

Hmm honestly have no experience with this... Marrakech is pretty touristy so I think you wouldn’t have a problem there other than the pushy sales people. Maybe look into a tour if you wanted to see a lot of the country? I love g adventures & they have a family friendly tour of Morocco.

Would you wear a (fake) ring while travelling?
This may not be that simple. Why do you think the locals talked more often to the men you were than you?
Is it just because they are men?
