I have to agree with you on making art before the code is finished. As my goal is to do dev logs, i need more to show on screen than just moving squares, but i do make sure things are working well before putting the art into the game
dude, i think your games, like you put lore into your games, like i never seen anyone else do that, and... i love lore so i love your projects, their so cool and good
I am one of those speed runners. I have spent literally days playing mello 2 working on getting as fast as I can. I've gotten 16 minutes, 52 seconds. It's my literal favorite game that I have ever played. (By the way, this is not me wondering what it takes to be a beta-tester of your games.) P.S. your Mello 2 is earning you a sub
... Whenever I leave my house and I only have my phone with me, literally every single channel I am subscribed to shares a new video.... And scratch games! I think your game is great but I can't really check it now, here in the mountains
I am intrigued on how to make an effective platformer in scratch, most games I’ve seen are lazy and allow you to jump off walls so I tried to prevent that by making a wall that pushes you back but in my opinion it is too noticeable, is it simpler than it looks to prevent the player from jumping off the walls? I’d like some tips for when I do a platformer next time
By the way when I say lazy by allowing the player to jump off walls, simple code would be checking for any form of collision from the player and level so when ensuring the players jump is reset upon collision it allows for the player to jump off walls.
You can make bloom in scratch. By using clones on low opacities in slightly different positions you can create some bloom. Though the hitboxes would be wrong since they're clones so using the pen would be better. Well the pen get's drawn underneath everything else (excluding the background). Both have their ups and downs and here is just a small list lf what they do: Clones: simple high quality takes up clone limit messed up hitboxes Pen: good for 3d games no clone limit low quality more difficult to get working Personally I use pen and have made some projects with some different blur/bloom options. (Minder_ if you wanna check out please play endings simulator)
bro just add a bit of story and lore to it and make it in an actual game engine then its gonna be genuinely one of the best platformer games ive played in my life, saw ur game on scratch and decided to see how u made it, keep up the good work and u earned a sub
Oh man, this is awesome! I just checked out your game since it was next to mine in the "What the community is loving" section (I made that Stacks one, Fun_Random_Games). This is so much better than mine lol! Awesome job!
Hey, so I wish also I had your skill and also I'm going to make a game just like your mellow game. And can you tell me the link in the description where it is because I have searched the options on RUclips and I can still not find it on my phone.
After watching this video I have come to the conclusion that we have a lot of things in common… I have sisters Same age ( if your 17 ) Good at scratch I have been on scratch for 5 years and 5 months and you have been on scratch for 6 years and 6 months Which is exactly one year…
Wow this is some top tier content keep up the good work, I think you should level up to Godot engine and unleash your creativity. It is a lightweight game engine with a really easy scripting language, looks like you have the coding logic, and the GD Script syntax is easy to learn, so you should pick it up quickly. Good luck on your journey❤❤❤
"I would explain the Player physics in detail, but they're not very unique and talking about code and numbers isn't very entertaining." *Griffpatch laughing because he has 600K subs and he makes tutorials*
guys help me get this to be a reality. Hopefully pinning it. The game would be 10x more fun with a rank system. Consider your game is already super dopper fun it will be like a proper developed game with ranks. 👇
Your Games are so amazing. I wish i had your skill.
Keep developing games and striving to get better at it, and you'll do great :3
I will! ( i do scratch ) :)@@chipm0nk
hi@@chipm0nk

ChipM0nk: “Maybe Mello will get a few views…”
Scratch Team: “Allow us to introduce… The FEATURED projects 😏😏😏”
If you are doing a video about how you created the kingdom of nor, can you please explain how you created the moving platforms and npc’s??
Great Job, I Dont know How You Manage To Make High Quality Vids After All This Coding!? Nani?
Like huh?

3:20 hello to you too
Was Geometry Dash one of your inspirations for this? I saw a few things that reminded me of it.
5:51 Hey! That's an Unstable Platform Thing! You Forgot That!
WOW!
Oh man, this is awesome! I just checked out your game since it was next to mine in the "What the community is loving" section (I made that Stacks one, Fun_Random_Games). This is so much better than mine lol! Awesome job!
Next you should wait until this sequel gets 1m views and then make Mello in Unity
“Squares that try and squish you,”
**Apple players are typing*
Add a Level counter and a Death counter to keep track of your progress!
Awesome! In what way are the Levels generated from the simple drawings? How do you add the outline and the infill? 🧐
Do you know where to find the version of the carol of the bells that you used in elf quest?
Can you make a tutorial on how to make a platformer like mellow? And those moving platforms!!
Please do!
Im making a platform myself (scrolling) too! I haven't coded much on scratch so I'm trying to figure this stuff out.
I love your videos! I wish I had your skills ❤
You should make a steam game or something cuz your skills are amazing!
I wish I could have skills like you but I found a platformer controller so now I'm working on my own game called tato
Gosh, you made Kingdom of Nor. Now i'm so amazed
1:35 got me rolling on the floor. 🤣🤣🤣
bro you are so underrated and your games are so good!
The story is the wizard is helping you and telling you the mechanics of the game and is waiting for the boy in kingdom of nor
6:08 you can see the wizard
3:00 we totally didint know that
it would be cool if a character from a cowboy type game or something was the one who gave mello his hat
0:30 not bros mail💀

OMG I PLAYED IT IM FVCS3H3
Ok, time to recreate it in geometry dash
@chipm0nk where did you learned how to code in scratch?
i played your mello game i liked it
Even if you use Scratch, the graphics of Mello are better than mobile games made in Unity 2D.
Inspirations for GD levels
