Another great video! I'm glad you highlighted the warning label for the city water connection. I misunderstood what it meant as well. I thought it meant you had to shut off the water then go inside and open a faucet to relieve water pressure before switching a valve position on the panel. Thanks for clearing that up for us!
We just purchased our first GDR 312BHTS travel trailer! We pick it up this coming Friday... Can't wait to start going full-time! Thanks for this video. It'll be helpful real soon!
Boondocking in Sedona right now and thought that I could use a drill pump to fill my water tank from my 5 gallon containers into the city water to tank. NOT! Watched your video and decided to try setting the nautilus to "sanitize". BINGO.....it took a while but patience prevailed. It probably took about 7 or 8 minutes to get it to about 20% left. Then I combined them and did the rest. I have admit that you need patience for this way but it beats hooking up and dragging a 375RES through the desert. We've also learned get rid of a lot of water outside that is relatively clean to make way for more water. To is its a game to see how long we can stay out here. Thank you for waking me up to this procedure. Next....Battle Born batteries. 3 1/2 year old golf cart AGM's are not holding a charge like they used to.
Good video. We just bought a Solitude 380FL and plan to take delivery early next year. This will be our first RV so trying to learn everything I can before taking possession. Any and all tutorials on how-to related to GD RV's will be great.
Hi guys Yes that warning label has been a head scratcher for us too thanks for clearing that up . I would love to watch one on the thermostat control don't quiet get it . Love you two keep doing what you do. Happy Holidays to you & your's.
Thanks for the link to Winterizing. Just getting ready to do our 2020 Momentum 351M in NJ. Then we will dewinterize in mid December as we head to Quartzite GD Rally in Arizona. Then winterize again as we return to our NJ home... whenever that will be!! BTW: It was great to see you at the National GD Rally in Elkhardt.
Please provide a video on locating all the tank drain levers. I found only 2 levers underneath my Solitude 373FBR, but my unit has 2 black and grey tanks each. Where are the other 2 levers to empty those other 2 tanks located?
First time watching one of your videos...nice job. I would like to see a video on emergency procedures when a slide won't go in or a stabilizer wont come up or the hitch leveler won't work. Thanks.
Great video, wish it had gone into a little more in-depth as a newbie for us. It mentions not overfilling hot water tank, how do you when the tank is full or overflowing? Is it by the inside guage only? If so, it doesn't seem to "ever" read past 1/2 tank? This is a brand new 2020 model. How about a video for winterizing and de-winterizing the Nautius system....
Great tutorial. Couple questions. 1. Do you have to have both your out door and indoor pump switch on to use for dry camping? 2. Whats the switch thats located between your city water and sanitize used for?
Hey guys, Just another tip. I had to turn the screen around to hold open the check valve open (per dealer directions) when winterizing to get the pump to pull in the rv antifreeze. How about a video on your rv suspension? Did you upgrade your stabilizers, shackles or add shocks? Have you greased or replaced your wet bolts yet?
Thank you very much for this video. I do have a question or maybe you can help redirect me. I have a 2017 solitude. What is the black toggle switch for under the nautilus system. Thank you for any insight
Hello. I have the same water system in my 2019 Riverstone. Question? When I’m hooked up to city water and the valves turned appropriate for water to the fixtures. We are not getting very good water pressure. I’ve looked at all the lines and they are good. Even when I go to fill my fresh water tank it takes a very long time to fill. Water flow thru the city connection with the check valve seems to be not operating properly. When I use my onboard water pump. Pressure is very good. Any suggestions on what maybe wrong or how to fix. We are leaving next week for a long RV trip. Thanks
Just found you guys, thank you. I do have a question. We have a new reflection 260RD . Do you happen to know if the grey tanks have an overflow vent? Or do we have a problem? Our 5th wheel is less than a month old and we have a drip under the tank location. Pretty sure it’s not a black tank but the leak stops when I empty the tanks.
I see comments at times to turn the water heater bypass valve, but I haven't seen that actually labeled that in my manual, and yes, I did a search via the PDF document as well.
Awesome video! Now I know what that warning means on my Momentum! You pointed out the cable connections but can you make a tutorial explaining what all the connections do? They are a little confusing and I haven't figured out where they all connect to. Which inlet goes to the bedroom TV versus the living room TV versus the garage TV. Thanks! P.S. Jason, I work with your mom. 😁
Great Video guys! Do you guys have good pressure at your shower head. I am hooked up to city water most of the time and I get great water pressure at all fixtures but my shower is very weak. I have taken out the water savers and still no increased pressure??? Any ideas on this issue? Thanks for all your great videos.
Hi Scott! We do have good pressure at our shower head. We're not quite sure why you aren't getting good pressure there. We recommend posting your question in one of the Grand Design Facebook groups, everyone there is super knowledgeable and can probably help solve your issue!
I too had the same confusion over that warning message. I came to the same erroneous conclusion you did. Thanks for clearing this up. I noted in the video that the 2 grey valves were labeled “shower” and “sink”. I too have a 2018 Solitude. Can I assume the left grey valve catches the shower water and the right grey valve catches bother the kitchen and bathroom sinks? Where would the water from the optional dishwasher go? And what about the optional clothes washer?
Hi David! We put those labels on ourselves so we would stop forgetting which grey valve opened what lol. The one labeled shower is our shower water and bathroom sink water. The one labeled kitchen is just our kitchen sink. Hope that helps!
I'm a single women and a 1st time owner of a GD Momentum 320g. I followed along to the point to attaching your "black hose" to flush out the black tank once it's been emptied. I have (1) hose attached to my unit from the well. Where do you get the water for the flash? Can I get a split double connector for the entry to the unit and use a short additional hose for the flash? I'm on private property and the well is 75' away.
Ah, gotcha. We use this splitter: amzn.to/3W6qaok The only reason we recommend using a black tank hose is because of the risk of back flushing. Like if you were filling your black tank and forgot to open the valve, you could risk back flushing sewage into your black water hose. If you are never going to close your black tank while flushing then you could probably use your regular hose, or the short additional hose like you mentioned.
Is it possible to isolate the water heater system and pump vinegar into it through the nautilus system without pumping vinegar through the entire water system for flushing? Given the nautilus diagram, that wasn't clear to me if that's even possible. TY
I really enjoy your videos. I’m glad to see you’re partnering up with Grand Design. I’d like to see a video on the sound system and the different zones I have a Zone A B C, zone B does not function.
Hi Merrill, we randomly selected a winner for the $50 Grand Design gift card and you won! Can you email us at info@getawaycouple.com so we can get the coupon code and instructions to you? Thanks and happy travels!
Hi Merrill! We hope you saw our last comment. You won the $50 Grand Design gift card that we gave away in this video! Can you email us at info@getawaycouple.com so we can get the coupon code and instructions to you? Thanks!
Please make a vlog on hooking up the TCL TV to the campground cable, hooking up the TCL TV to a satellite Dish (or Direct), and finally to the Roof antenna. There are a lot of posts regarding this topic. Include the steps to scan and program the TCL TV to stations. -Jersey Mike
Mike , I’m curious as well seems to be a lot of barrels to hook cable to which to me says you need a 4 bang splitter to feed all. Why didn’t they just incorporate that already giving you one barrel to supply all? Maybe cause splitters fail and then I can easily replaced by consumer. Fortunately I have a compression fitting applied for RG ends and can make a bunch of tags”” that can hook to each then splitter and finally cable feed. Your thoughts?
shortCUT207 : Well, a year ago I was totally frustrated with my ‘17 Reflection 307MKS rig and not being able to get Campground cable TV to work using the internal coax wiring. Long story short... the dealer where I bought the RV had it in for wheel bearing servicing and found the coax cable ground foil was interfering with the cable signals. Months of frustration suddenly resolved. You are correct, the builders had coax, splitters all over the rig inside cabinets as potential fail sites. I traded that rig in Aug 2019 and fortunately my new ‘20 GD Momentum 351M has been performing well with campground cable TV, OTA TV, and Dish / Wally TV using the installed connection points.
Do you have a video for the sound system or for the tv’s ? We brought the same RV used the owner was deceased and the children didn’t know much. He made a lot of changes and we can not see why he made changes and want to get it back to the original way
DCrotteau Great video. Could you please do a video on the correct way to change a tire on the rv and can you use the Level Up System to lift the trailer for that purpose.
Awesome explanation on the check valve warning. That makes sense now. Can you and Jason do a tutorial on the outside shower? I think some grand designs have 2 ports to connect the sprayer hose, but is the control valves for the second port the same knob on the nautilus? Do you set the temperature there, then connect at the second port?
Another great video guys! Have you given consideration to adding a generator or solar and doing some dry camping? What are your thoughts on combining dry camping and campgrounds to mix it up a little?
Thank you! And yes, we just purchased a generator and are looking at batteries now. We'd like to do some boondocking in 2019 and will be sure to share the process with you guys 😊
Hey thanks for the video. All I’m looking to do it drain the water from all my lines, not winterize the camper. On my Jayco it used to have a low point valve I could turn. Do you happen to know how to do it with this system? Thanks a lot.
Hi, Jonathan! Our low point valves are in the same area as our Nautilus System but when you're facing it they're on the lower right hand side, at the bottom of the compartment. On the right wall actually. If you don't have the same model they might not be right there but another thing you could do is look under you camper all around the edges for the red and blue pipes sticking out, those should be your low points. Good luck!
Your videos are so cool to watch! Hope everything is Xmas Cheery on your end 🎄🎅🏼☃️ Although I do not have the Nautilus System in my RV, I still found this video very informative...I could CLEARLY SEE how it would help those that do have it (it goes to the mindset of the presenter ;) Bloopers Bloopers Bloopers...your channel just wouldnt be the same without them 👏🏻 Best of the Holidays to you three! 👍👌😎✌🏻
Question for you guys. How do you know your water tank is full? Without watching the gauge inside the camper? All my other campers had a vent by the fill port and when it spit water out it was full. My 19 grand design does not have a vent
Is there a certain position you should have the Nautilus system in when driving? I fill my RV and then while driving I lose 1/3 a tank of water out of the over flow. (Blue hose on the bottom of trailer that lets water out when it is full). Any idea how not to lose water while driving?
I don't know what you mean by this check valve- I have never touched it- When I am done at the campground I always let pressure out at the faucet then I disconnect at the panel -Is that wrong?
My grand has a similar doc station But also a gravity fresh water tank fill on the out side of the coach What is this for specifically I’m a little confused as to why they supplied a hose thread connection AND the gravity style connection
I think it just matters on the situation you're in. If you're filling up at a campground, you'd want to use the freshwater hose to fill up the tank. But if you're out boondocking you can use the gravity fed to refill without needing to move the whole camper (you can use a bag or jugs to go get water and refill). We have to use our water pump if we're filling up while boondocking and sometimes it might just be easier for us if we could had a gravity fill option.
Thank you, good info...new GD owner. Nervous about the black tank flush, the Natilus system was new to me, I now am good to go! Would like a "How to" on the towing switches in my F-250. Up, down, squeeze, what does it all do? Merry Christmas from SKP Park Sierra!
Thanks for this info I'm glad I found you. I have a 2018 reflection and I am so not impressed. I went from a 96 35ft class A Bounder to this and other than the slide space and the huge closet room I'd rather have the 96. I am stuck with this now though so I'll be a new subby adn try to make the best of it!
Aww no, we're sorry to hear that. What are you not liking about it? Thank you for subbing though, hopefully we can continue to provide you some valuable info! Welcome to our Getaway Gang 😊
We love ours and think the quality is top notch! If you haven't seen it, this is the video we did on how ours has held up after 3 years of fulltiming: ruclips.net/video/VHtGACy6ijA/видео.html
We try to turn it off when not in use. Even if we forget during the day, we always remember to turn it off at night and when we leave. Don’t want to come back to a leak or a burnt out water pump!
Great video! To bad I can't seem to follow simple instructions 😃 I just blew my green valve off. I've called every RV store in Arizona and nobody has one. I called the mobile mechanic and he said that he can replace the whole panel for $500 bucks. If anybody knows where I might be able to get one, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you 😊
We change it to dry camping. That way if we need to use the restroom on the road, we can just flip on the pump while inside and then turn it back off when we're done!
Great video! Would you do a video on tank disinfection using Kings Water Systems? We make a hand held machine that creates ozone , hydrogen peroxide and chlorine. It is designed to not only kill all bacteria but reduce orders and tastes.
My husband and I connected the 337RLS nautilus water system to a water hose and set it for city water. We then noticed water leaking under the kitchen island. We determined it was coming from the kitchen faucet above the counter top. We unscrewed the faucet pipe to loosen the faucet, but cannot figure out how to fix our problem. We thought it might be pressure in the lines, or an air lock. We ran the water until there were no more spurts. However, that didn't solve our issue. Is the faucet hooped and we need to replace it? If it is just a matter of a seal within the faucet, do you know how to get to it? There is no name on the faucet and it isn't in the manual for us to check. TIA.
Gosh, it’s tough to say! It sounds like it could be a seal if it’s leaking from the faucet and not building pressure. There is a but holding on the kitchen faucet, you could take that off to see if there’s a loose connection. Also, I’d reach out to Grand Design directly as they might be of more help!
Have you ever had to remove the Nautilus panel to gain access to the water lines behind it? We have horrible water pressure, both while on city water as well as using the on-board pump. Everyone I have talked to states that there is likely a kink in the lines leading up the hot water heater and that I need to remove the Nautilus panel to gain access to the lines to take a look.
I don’t think you would have to remove the panel to get to the lines, but it depends on your rig. For us, we can remove a piece of wood to access the back of the panel and see all of our wires. You can see what I mean in this video: ruclips.net/video/AiA9g4xpMoM/видео.html Good luck !
Omg!!! Thank you! Very helpful!! Single girl full-timer here about to lose my mind!!!!
You're so welcome!
Just purchased a 2021 Grand Design Reflection - thanks for ALL your tutorials for helping me to learn !!
Glad to help! Congrats on your new rig! Safe travels!
Never understood that warning label.... had our GD for over 2 years... thank you for your explanation !
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks I was just looking at the water pressure note this morning.
Thank you Blake Lively and Chris Pratt! Best explanation I've found so far!!
Terrific tutorial. Now I know how to use the black tank back flush hook up. Thank you
Kenny B
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Great video guys, just bought a Reflections 315RLTS and now understand how to operate the panel.
That's great! Congrats on the new rig too!
Another great video! I'm glad you highlighted the warning label for the city water connection. I misunderstood what it meant as well. I thought it meant you had to shut off the water then go inside and open a faucet to relieve water pressure before switching a valve position on the panel. Thanks for clearing that up for us!
You're welcome! Glad it helped 😊
Great job. Thanks for showing its not as easy as it first appears.
Good tutorial! I would like to see a tutorial how you clean and conditioning of your rigs roof and a awning. Always love the bloopers!!
That's a great topic! We'd like to do a video on it once it gets a little warmer 😊
Thank you for your video. We were able to trouble shoot an issue from this. Much appreciated.
Thanks Mark! Glad we were able to help! Love to hear this! You will not regret the decision to go Battle Born for longer boondocking adventures!
Great video! The outtakes are my fav! Would love a tutorial on the leveling system!
Great tutorial! How about doing a tutorial on the automatic leveling system? It scares the heck out of me!!
haha it scared us at first too! We'll add it to the list of tutorials!
Thanks guys, that was really informative, just buying a 2020 380fl, picking up at end of the month, really excited, watching your utubes
Good video. We just bought a Solitude 380FL and plan to take delivery early next year. This will be our first RV so trying to learn everything I can before taking possession. Any and all tutorials on how-to related to GD RV's will be great.
This was so awesome and long awaited for!! We get tired of all the videos of places. You guys get down to business with keeping it real!! Good job!!!
Great video. Thank you from a new buyer of a used 2020 Solitude 310 GK-R. Liked and Subscribed 😀
We will be picking up our Grand Design Reflection on Monday. The nautilus system is new to us, it was get to watch this video.
Thanks for the info on sanitizing.getting opened up for the season this weekend
Good video. Winterizing is a breeze
Great tutorial. I would love a tutorial regarding monitoring solar power.
Grand design did a great job with their panel..Easy to understand... Our new brookstone? Not so much
We do love it!
Hi guys Yes that warning label has been a head scratcher for us too thanks for clearing that up . I would love to watch one on the thermostat control don't quiet get it . Love you two keep doing what you do. Happy Holidays to you & your's.

Then winterize again as we return to our NJ home... whenever that will be!! BTW: It was great to see you at the National GD Rally in Elkhardt.
Oh no, winterizing is so sad! lol but that's great you'll be making the Quartzlite rally, it'll be nice to escape the cold for a bit!
Please provide a video on locating all the tank drain levers. I found only 2 levers underneath my Solitude 373FBR, but my unit has 2 black and grey tanks each. Where are the other 2 levers to empty those other 2 tanks located?
Thanks for the info. Would like to see more on owner maintenance of the slides. We just bought a new Reflection 320mks last month.
Definitely a good topic to add to the list, thank you!
This is a good walkthrough I needed this.
Glad to hear it helped!
First time watching one of your videos...nice job. I would like to see a video on emergency procedures when a slide won't go in or a stabilizer wont come up or the hitch leveler won't work. Thanks.
Great suggestion! Thanks for watching! Be sure to subscribe to get all the new releases!
Always enjoy your videos, would like to see a video that details how you plan out your trips.
That's a good idea. We'll add it to the list!
Great tutorial! Always wondered what that warning actually meant.
Happy Holidays!

Thanks for the information- you 2 are wonderful
Thank you very much for this video. I do have a question or maybe you can help redirect me. I have a 2017 solitude. What is the black toggle switch for under the nautilus system. Thank you for any insight
You guys are awesome! Thanks
I would love a tutorial on the panel inside that controls all functions on the Grand Design.

Thumbs up. Thanks for posting this.
We want to buy a Grand Dedign Momentum but no dealer in our area.
Bummer! Hopefully you can still get your hands on one in the future 😉

Thank you, great video
Great tips
Do you have any backing clips or tips
Thanks
Love all videos and have Merry Christmas
Just got a new 310GK and this was helpful. Could you do a video on the leveling system?
Glad to hear it was helpful! We'll add the leveling system to the list, although I think the newer ones are different from ours.
We just bought a grand design! How to use the solar battery?
Hey guys, great tutorial. Maybe in the future you can do one on your battery and electrical system. Keep them coming.
Merry Christmas
That's a good one to add to the list!

If you don't have the same model they might not be right there but another thing you could do is look under you camper all around the edges for the red and blue pipes sticking out, those should be your low points. Good luck!
Your videos are so cool to watch! Hope everything is Xmas Cheery on your end 🎄🎅🏼☃️
Although I do not have the Nautilus System in my RV, I still found this video very informative...I could CLEARLY SEE how it would help those that do have it (it goes to the mindset of the presenter ;)
Bloopers Bloopers Bloopers...your channel just wouldnt be the same without them 👏🏻
Best of the Holidays to you three!
👍👌😎✌🏻
Could you please do a video on the Nautilus 2.5 docking water system(jayco durango 28.5)
Unfortunately we can’t! We’re only familiar with our system.
Very Good Video on the water system
Could you do one for the Grand Design Imagine 2400BH..?
What if you get backflow from the fill connection after filling and turn on the pump?
How about the stereo system, just bought the 2018 312bhts, didn't see how the tv is run though the stereo system???
Would you kindly do a review of the LCI leveling system? I am coming out of a diesel pusher and I am a little fuzzy on the 5th wheel system. Thanks
We'll add it to the list!
Good job guys!
My grand has a similar doc station
But also a gravity fresh water tank fill on the out side of the coach
What is this for specifically I’m a little confused as to why they supplied a hose thread connection AND the gravity style connection
If I'm gonna connect direct to my city water not fill tanks which knobs need to be on what way
Thank you, good info...new GD owner. Nervous about the black tank flush, the Natilus system was new to me, I now am good to go! Would like a "How to" on the towing switches in my F-250. Up, down, squeeze, what does it all do? Merry Christmas from SKP Park Sierra!
Thanks and welcome to the GD family! I don't think we'll be able to help you out with the towing switches since we have a RAM 😄
Getaway Couple is it mandatory to have the black water hose to do the flush? We don’t have one.
Educational and funny How about a tutorial on what it takes or at least for you to do one of your blogs please.
That's a good idea, we'll add it to the list! I think it would surprise people how much time it actually takes to get content out there 😄
Thank you!

How’s the quality of the Grand designs models
Thanks for your time :)
We love ours and think the quality is top notch! If you haven't seen it, this is the video we did on how ours has held up after 3 years of fulltiming: ruclips.net/video/VHtGACy6ijA/видео.html
@@GetawayCouple I appreciate this and I will watch it
Thanks Again!
Thank you so much! Do you leave the water pump on the entire time while dry camping?
We try to turn it off when not in use. Even if we forget during the day, we always remember to turn it off at night and when we leave. Don’t want to come back to a leak or a burnt out water pump!
Great video! To bad I can't seem to follow simple instructions 😃
I just blew my green valve off. I've called every RV store in Arizona and nobody has one. I called the mobile mechanic and he said that he can replace the whole panel for $500 bucks. If anybody knows where I might be able to get one, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you 😊
Call Grand Design and ask them to mail you the part! That price is outrageous and totally unnecessary to replace the whole panel for one part.
You didn't explain what the 2 knobs at the top are for.
After you fill the tank, what setting do you use to drive to your destination? Keep it as city fill or dry camp without turning on the pump?
We change it to dry camping. That way if we need to use the restroom on the road, we can just flip on the pump while inside and then turn it back off when we're done!
Why didn't you show how to use the shower valves ? I can't make mine work.
Good Stuff!
Thank you!
How about using the leveling system?
Thanks
Draining the grey water tank, 1 and 2
Great video. Would love to see a video on having to manually raise/lower the hydraulic jacks.
