I love these sounds the first time I heard them, I was fishing at night and it scared the heck out of me... Now I have owls that visit and when they call I call back and they fly closer and closer until they're in the backyard it's amazing

Thank you for uploading this in the quality and the volume that you did because I play it back to my group of owls that visit me and lie to me when I'm calling back

I have 2 of these magnificent creatures living on the property. They are very curious of these type calls and respond vocally and with lots of flying pass bys.
They are grest at keeping the open part of my yard clear of vermin.
    God's wonderful mouse catchers.

I have a family of them and they have got to a point now that they are not afraid of me and command sit on the table I am at in the yard. Even the young one comes down and sits near me but not like the parents do.

I've been hearing this unique sounding bird call periodically outside my window here in Durham for a few years. The first time i heard it i was mortified not knowing what type of creature was lurking outside. And, I really didn't really know where to turn to identify the source of the caterwauling. RUclips to the rescue once again! Thanks to your video i now believe i've been hearing the calls of Barred Owls; i initially thought they were Horned Owls. I live near an intersection of the American Tobacco Trail (a densely wooded area) and so i'm guessing that these critters live generally throughout this area.
I would love to see one, but i guess chances are limited given their nocturnal tendencies.
