How come you didn't actually clean the inside of the lower stanchions and clean the seals etc before putting the foam rings in and upper stanchions back in
Question; I've had problems with the rebound knob getting unwound and not able to adjust rebound (it will freely turn without any "notches "). A month or so ago I started hearing a knocking sound every time my fork rebounded out of compression. I decided to inspect the rebound assembly and I was able to solve the issue of the sound and the knob feeling "unwound", but it's still not adding damping. There is a small bolt below/above the 8mm bolt that needs to stay in contact with that 8mm bolt, or else the knob won't work. So my knob works now, but it's not adding damping. Is there something else that I missed doing or maybe do I have to buy another rebound assembly?

Compared to a budget coil fork, I would say that these are better. Obviously it would all depend on what sort of riding you do as to whether they are suitable.
Due to needing a replacement as the forks on bike pretty much gave up on me and on a tight budget I took a huge risk and bought some air bike forks... yea not best idea but at least can still ride haldon!! Will certainly look into those suntours soon then 🤘👍👍
Hi, these are the ones that I purchased Sharplace Bicycle Fork Sponge Ring Oil Sealed Foam for Bike Fork Sponges Itinerary O-ring 32/34/35/36mm amzn.eu/d/6M7vx0Z You need the ones for 32mm stanchions.
SR Suntour also has some on their service parts page. They have pretty much all the parts of the fork listed, plus o rings and recommended oil for the XCR32.
I haven’t serviced my XCR fork since I bought the bike in 2013. Guess I better get to it lol. Appreciate the video!
Just bought a 2022 Nucleus VRS will make sure this is the first thing i do after greasing everything else!

Great Video! Just a question, did you remove all the air from the fork before doing this?
Hi, and thanks.
No need to release the air for this procedure.
@@AshfordMTB thanks so much, could i use sram butter for grease on the lower part of the stanchions?
@@hipe2930 hi, this will be fine. Don't forget to get some in the wiper seals too.
@@AshfordMTB Hi, thanks so much for the fast respond, and of course! I love your videoes, and they help me alot.

Awesome. So for a budget fork... apart from lack of oil rings and grease how do you rate them??

Hello, what is the number of the oil you put the seals in?
