so i have a question when i first got my pc last year i was able to use my ps4 conntroller on it (with the usb cable because my pc doesnt have bluetooth) but after that cord was damaged i got a new cord and now it wont connect to the pc. everytime i connect with the usb cable the yellow bar just comes on and off slowly even after ive reset the controller. plss help

Easy way to do it connect a keyboard to your ps4 navigate to settings to bluetooth disconnect controller then try to connect like your using it for the 1st time works for me.
Yo just saying I connect my ps4 controller to my PC and when I change it back to my ps4 I have to remove it and re connect it to the PC just to switch around

Just recently started playing ape and then hyperscape on PC... had a controller that I used perfectly used a cable... then moved computers into a new room and switched to a longer usb cable for the controller and a new controller... then none of my controllers but the new one would work... so bizarre... switching cables back to the original cable worked... long, but thank you, you fixed it!
Very ironic how ive been fighting to connecting it for 5 hours and just as i read ur comment i tried the original wire that comes with the ps4 and it worked. So to anyone that is in the same situation. Try using the original cable that comes with the ps4
I’ve tried all of your suggestions and it still won’t work for me. My PS4 controller was connected to my PC. I even went into my PC and clicked on “forget this device” and held the reset button on my controller for 5+ seconds. My controller still won’t connect to my PS4 - even with the USB cable. The light just continuously flashes white. What am I not doing right? I really don’t want to have to buy another controller - I’ve already purchased 4 of them.

I know this is a old video but here is my problem: It says paired when I connect it to my pc but then disconnects after 1-2 seconds. and when i try to turn the controller on it does the same connected then disconnected thing, and I've tried to reset it but it hasn't worked at all. If you see this comment i would be really happy if you were to reply and help
If you paired it with Bluetooth. Delete the old controllers listed in the Bluetooth device list. Hard reset it, maybe hold it to like a count of 29 to be sure. Try pairing it again. If it still screws up you either have to play with a cable or buy the Sony branded dongle.

It’s gta 4:lost and damned and also just the base game for me.the controller jitters and what I mean by that it’ll turn off for a second than turn back on the next second so when you use a a anolog stick and that happens the anolog will try its hardest to go to through with the controll and ruin your time I just got used to keyboard and mouse because I am tired of it
If you did all the things and still didn't work what worked for me was I turned Bluetooth on them and then went to device settings with one of my other controllers and then I saw my controller that was trying to pair then I paired it and now it works

Guys i just wanna tell you that if you used your controller to your pc, laptop, or your phone and when you try to use it on your ps4 and it wont work. Dont use the wire that you used to connect your controller to your pc or other things. When you use a different wire your controller will connect to the ps4! just thought i should let you guys know!!!!

@@joesvendsen7077 I got it working eventually by using PS remote play on my pc to control my PS4. I had to remove the existing controller from the settings and then pair up the same controller as a new controller and it worked.

Some USB cables don't act the same as other charging cables, if that makes sense. OEM PS4 USB cables work, but for example; a wireless charger's USB cable may not work, meaning it won't connect the same as others.
I factory reset my ps4 and now the controllers won't connect and I can't get passed the 1st setup screen to connect controller. If I go thru remote play would this work? I connected my controller to my pc laptop but the light on the controller is solid white now blue
If you reset your ps4. Then to get your controllers paired again you need to plug them in via the usb that came with it, and press n hold the PlayStation logo button. You may need to hard reset the controller first. To get a simple guide to this process just Google how to pair a new controller
It doesn't actually work for me? I've held it for up to five minutes and it doesn't matter what I do it still wants to pair to the same device. I bought the controller to use on my PC. This sucks If I compare it to my phone, doesn't matter how long I hold that button it never forgets my phone. To my pc and I Tell my PC to forget it, it doesn't matter how long I hold that button on the back it will always pair to the PC and the PC will then say, unparable device error
Most games dont provide support for Playstation controllers. You either need to setup DS4 windows, or Steam Drivers. Which will then pretend your PS4 controller is an Xbox Controller

@@yugomonke1 Im not always sure why DS4 doesnt detect controllers. You might try giving your machine a restart, hard resetting your controller and plugging it in again after, or running DS4 as admin.
Okay so i reset my controller and plugged it in via USB, with my computer. it did not work so had to try with my other controller. Steam still isnt noticing I have a controller plugged in.
Its often a janky process. You may need to plug and unplug it a few times before it shows up. Ive experimented with running steam as admin, restarting a couple times, etc. The first time that I hooked it up.
not all cables are data cables. Some cables that come with electronics only have the wiring to charge devices. Saves the manufacturer a few cents a cable. Make sure you have a data cable. Then try hard resetting it and see if that helps.
I reset it and tried to pair it with my computer. I clicked on connect and the controller's light turned on (white) and then it turned off. It doesn't let me use it. Anyone else have this problem???
Depends on what you're trying to do. Make sure you hard reset the controller first with the little hole on the back. Poke a safety pin or a paperclip in there for like 10seconds. 1) If you want to connect it to your PC, you need to hold down the PS (Playstation) button AND the Share Button at the same time until the light on the back starts flashing in a pattern. Then you can pair it with your PC's bluetooth settings. If you want to do it plugged in thats fine, you can skip that previous step of putting the controller into "Pairing" mode. 2) If you want to connect your controller to your PS4 after using it on your PC. Hard reset it as described above, then plug it in to your PS4, and long press the PS (Playstation) button until it syncs and makes a beep noise. Then you'll know it worked because you can control what you see on screen.

You might need to reset the controller with the button on the back, then pair it with the computer you wanna use it on again.

I factory reset my ps4 and now the controllers won't connect and I can't get passed the 1st setup screen to connect controller. If I go thru remote play would this work? I connected my controller to my pc laptop but the light on the controller is solid white now blue

If you reset your ps4. Then to get your controllers paired again you need to plug them in via the usb that came with it, and press n hold the PlayStation logo button. You may need to hard reset the controller first. To get a simple guide to this process just Google how to pair a new controller
It doesn't actually work for me? I've held it for up to five minutes and it doesn't matter what I do it still wants to pair to the same device. I bought the controller to use on my PC. This sucks
If I compare it to my phone, doesn't matter how long I hold that button it never forgets my phone. To my pc and I Tell my PC to forget it, it doesn't matter how long I hold that button on the back it will always pair to the PC and the PC will then say, unparable device error

Most games dont provide support for Playstation controllers. You either need to setup DS4 windows, or Steam Drivers. Which will then pretend your PS4 controller is an Xbox Controller
@@ChupacabraTutorials ive got ds4 windows set up, the newest version, however when i connect it to my pc, it doesnt show up. Same for steam. (Btw im trying to use the controller for MK and Rocket league)
@@yugomonke1 Im not always sure why DS4 doesnt detect controllers. You might try giving your machine a restart, hard resetting your controller and plugging it in again after, or running DS4 as admin.

Okay so i reset my controller and plugged it in via USB, with my computer. it did not work so had to try with my other controller. Steam still isnt noticing I have a controller plugged in.
Its often a janky process. You may need to plug and unplug it a few times before it shows up. Ive experimented with running steam as admin, restarting a couple times, etc. The first time that I hooked it up.

Hey when i use the usb all its doing is just charging the controller and then i cant turn it on
not all cables are data cables. Some cables that come with electronics only have the wiring to charge devices. Saves the manufacturer a few cents a cable. Make sure you have a data cable. Then try hard resetting it and see if that helps.

I reset it and tried to pair it with my computer. I clicked on connect and the controller's light turned on (white) and then it turned off. It doesn't let me use it. Anyone else have this problem???

Depends on what you're trying to do. Make sure you hard reset the controller first with the little hole on the back. Poke a safety pin or a paperclip in there for like 10seconds.
1) If you want to connect it to your PC, you need to hold down the PS (Playstation) button AND the Share Button at the same time until the light on the back starts flashing in a pattern. Then you can pair it with your PC's bluetooth settings. If you want to do it plugged in thats fine, you can skip that previous step of putting the controller into "Pairing" mode.
2) If you want to connect your controller to your PS4 after using it on your PC. Hard reset it as described above, then plug it in to your PS4, and long press the PS (Playstation) button until it syncs and makes a beep noise. Then you'll know it worked because you can control what you see on screen.

How to fix internet? It keeps disconnecting my wifi when I connect it via bluetooth.
If it just keeps blinking then u have to connect the controller to the ps4 with a usb cable, then turn it on...that should do it.
