Last winter I saw a beautiful site. I live just down the hill from the Bountiful temple, it was around midnight and I looked out my front window which faces the temple and it was shining unlike I had ever seen it before , just like a huge searchlights were shining on it but there was nothing around it. It was winter and the trees were bear so as not to cover the view. My first thought was “the Savior is at home tonight. “

Yes! That happened in the San Diego Temple. I used to live across the Temple. It was about 7:00 pm that I saw photographers running to the top of our building, taking photos to the most beautiful scene of bright colors. Were blue, yellow, and red color on the top of the Temple. The next day was on the front page of The San Diego News Paper. It was spectacular!

While my brother was going into surgery once during his battle with cancer as he was being wheeled into the operating room he saw lines of warriors in full armor standing at full attention on either side of the hallway. He nor do we know what it meant, but it was very special.
That is so cool. I’m sure what he saw was real. I had jaw surgery last year and the moment I went under anesthesia I saw my family members who had passed on in the operating room with me, heads bowed, eyes closed and arms folded. My father and my father-in-law were on either side of me with their hands on my head, giving me a blessing. So I’m sure those warriors were there for your brother. Angels are always around us,watching over us.❤😊

I have never spoken to anyone about this, but I want to say that I know that they are there. I am so blessed.
In my life, I have never imagined that this would have happened to me. This was over 20 years ago and I think I have kept them busy.❤️
I think the reason why the Nephite warriors were dressed in full armor is because the armor they are wearing is the full armor of God.
My aunt was living in an apartment northeast of Temple with my Mom in SLC in 2000 doing Family History work. She woke up in the middle of the night and witnessed a dozen “Angels” she says standing on the spires of the Temple. She thought she was seeing things but watched as they moved around and appeared to be talking with one another.
Could've been angels or janitorial workers & facilities engineers. They dress all in white and occasionally go out on the roof in the wee hours.
They shine pretty brightly! 🤍😁
You don’t have to be a special person like an apostle to see these things just be on the covenant path and have spiritual eyes to see.
God reveals things to us line upon line, precept upon precept according to our faith, through his Spirit. With wisdom and order, and according to our faith, meekness, and submissiveness, the Lord is bound if we do what he says, but if we do not hearken unto his precepts and do not what he says, we un-yoke ourselves from Christ, and we have no promise. How far will each of us go to have the mysteries of God revealed unto us is up to us.

@@OMspot2277and according to our belief. Many seem to believe that these experiences are only for prophets & apostles & characters in the scriptures. As I’m striving to let the Spirit sanctify me, as I attend the temple 2-3 times a week (from once a month before), as I sincerely tell Him that I just want to be taught & transformed & sanctified & prepared to meet Him, whenever I’m ready in His eyes - millennium or sooner, as I’m shown where I’m lacking - where I still have pride & arrogance & judgment that needs to be replaced with charity (thru His pwr, not mine), as I study & grow to understand the temple symbolism (which teaches us that these experiences are His desire for all His children & shows us the pattern & path to this), I’ve grown to believe, as the Spirit has testified to me, that it is possible in this life, even tho I haven’t yet experienced it. My goal isn’t to see His face, but to be changed, sanctified, filled w charity. Which, I believe, puts me on the right path if it is to happen for me in this life. If not, I’ve been changed for the better in the process & will be that much more prepared to see His face when He comes & in the Millennium.

This also happened at the St Louis temple dedication! Fire trucks were called several times by people driving on the interstate saying the building was on fire. Amazing!
I remember hearing that. We lived in Missouri at the time.
My brother told me a story when he was at the MTC in the early 90's.... He stated that the Campas President, told the missionaries a story of a time he was awaken early in the morning. He had this overwhelming feeling he was needed at the MTC (Provo) campus. As the President approached the campus he walked up to the main gate where he witnessed hundreds of what he described as "Nephi warriors" all in their Armour circled around the entire campus like a big ring. As the president approached the men, one of them broke away from the circle and walked to up to the president. The warrior told him that he was needed because he had the keys of priesthood authority for that campus. As the president entered into the campus, HE LOOKED BEHIND HIM, and stated," the area above the temple was ripped open and thousands of Hells warriors came pouring out of that tear. These evil demons hit the Nephite warriors like ocean waves crashing into rocks! these few Nephites held the demons at bay for an undisclosed period of time.

I can only imagine that that would be the one place that Satan would love to get control of and wreak havoc on. I’m sure we would feel both very frightened and very protected from what is all around us.
A friend told me of a time when she was on her mission and for some reason the missionaries weren't safe. When she came home there were what she described as Nephite guards. The outfit seems to be a theme. The way i think about it is: You don't need a white shirt and tie to attend church, wearing one helps you know you are ready. In the same way, the may not need the outfit, but it shows they are ready, and they know what their job is.
Alma Helaman Hale is my second great grandfather. What a tender mercy to hear such a sweet sacred experience about my own relatives. This reminds me how important it is to study about and learn more about our ancestors and all that they have done for us. It touched my heart and gives me a greater desire to do family history work and attend the temple more frequently. I certainly can relate to the story of Satan trying to stop us all from attending the temple. It seems like everything goes wrong that can right before I go each time. But the peace I feel afterwards is always worth the effort.

My children are also descended from the Hale’s. Hoping this story inspires them to be diligent in temple work.
President Doug Waldorf of the Atlanta Temple, many years ago he gave us a picture of the Atlanta Temple after the dedication .He said the brother who took the picture snapped it and took the film to the developer.
When he saw the picture, above the Temple there was an ethereal fire going across the entire top of the Atlanta Temple .He took the film to the developers and asked if this fire was an error in the development of the film.
The developers said that it was not an error in the development of the picture but said it was a fire glowing. I never doubled the meaning of this picture.
It was the Spirit of the Lord.🙏❤️🎇
Doug Waldorf was a member of our ward in South Carolina years ago. He had some amazing stories concerning his experiences with the southwest American Indians. I've seen the picture you described.

His wife Olive was so sweet and they had a daughter who was such a helper with her Dad's history of the American Indians.
He tuned pianos at different stakes.
He stayed at our home and tuned our piano and then would go to the wards or stakes and give us a phenomenal lesson about the Book of Mormon and how he could prove the Book of Mormon out of a public library.. 😏
You have seen this photo that I am describing.
Doug died of Cancer. He came to visit us before His death and he told us of his hospital stay and a very special incident when the Savior came to visit Him in the hospital.
I miss him and his family so much as I am reminiscing about him.

When my grandma was in hospital, nearing death, she saw an Indian Chief with a huge head-dress, standing at the foot of her bed. He had his back to her, like he was protecting her. She said the feathers in the head-dress were the most beautiful, brilliant colors she had ever seen. My grandma didn’t die

That’s silly sorry but it is. There are a number of superstitions disguised as doctrine going around. Think about it.
Literally every time I go to the temple I feel like everyone forgets how to drive and it feels like a struggle to get there safely.
Yep, there's always opposition to the Lord’s work. I've had a few personal experiences that have helped me KNOW more deeply of the truthfulness of His gospel and the power of His priesthood. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints really is the Lord’s church.
I believe the armor that the Lamanite warriors were wearing was symbolic to God and the strength of God. We are asked to “put on the full armor of God”

Jared, years ago during the St. Louis Temple dedication, a commercial airline out of the St. Louis Airport reported seeing flames from the temple roof and literally had fire departments dispatched to the temple.

I didn’t know about an airline. I was attending that dedication session. It was spirit filled. A small Missouri choir was joined as if by heavenly voices to an intensity I will not forget. The prophet promised we would have spiritual experiences that day and the spirit was truly in abundance. I was told that during this session neighbors called the fire department while we were in the session. That day I learned how much I truly want my family with me forever.
@@pamelarust3487 It could have been both. I was in a choir from the Evansville Stake for a dedication and I experienced the same with our choir. The volume was extraordinary.

The Nephite warriors that were protecting the temple reminds me of the scripture in Ephesians 6:11-18.
Aren't we told to put on the whole armor of God? Isn't there still an ongoing war with lucifer? Maybe the warriors were wearing armor to symbolically show he was protected, kind of like when the servant of Elijah's eyes were opened to the chariots of fire.

It's so exciting! I'm praying this will be made available to the church body someday, even if as an apocryphal text. And their are many more scrolls to come forth from other Indian families!
It's going to be revealed eventually. But I'm excited to find all the commonalities in their, our & even Israel's scripture.

Maybe we’re ready as a ppl now; maybe more of us are waking up & more open to signs… ? Maybe we needed to prove our faith w/out evidence for this long … ? Maybe it will be used as some kind of a test during this last day sifting process …?
I believe if God’s timing were sooner, they’d have been made known sooner. I have a testimony that He’s the Great Orchestrator; He’s in control of all things relating to His church & gospel (& everything else too🙂. I’ve been recognizing this ,more & more in my life lately … not that it hasn’t been that way all along, I’ve just been more aware lately).

Thank you for sharing these miracles. So often people in the Church say that really sacred experiences shouldn't be shared. However, that ends up making me feel like the only people having miraculous experiences are the evangelical Christians, bc they are happy to share theirs. I want people to know that our Church has miracles, too.
Amazing video! you have no idea. We were just abt to go to the Dominican Republic when the flight was delayed by a storm and so far took 4 days out of the weeks SO FAR that we were gonna be there. And i have just been so overwhelmed with temptation and giving into sin because of the stresses from it. And your video just brought be back to god to repent of my sins and repent. THANK YOU SO MICH for sharing the gospel and taking part in reminding me to turn back to god and be worthy of the holy ghost again, repenting of my list of sins i have committed over the past couple days. Just a fun little tie-in. My family helped settle Smithfield. My many times great grandfather kept a journal and this is what he recorded about the death of Peter Maughan (mentioned around 9:43) “1871 - April 24th, received word of the death of Peter Maughan, who was buried on the 26th, many people, including one hundred mounted Indians, attended funeral, they were much moved.” What a great man he must have been!
My great, great, great something grandpa was Peter Maughan. What a fun small little world. He made really great friends with the Indians. I love seeing his name pop up ❤️
@@milster7 My (many) great grandfather was James Sherlock Cantwell. He mentions Peter Maughan a few times in his journal, which you can find online by Googling “James Sherlock Cantwell journal”. He also wrote some about the other men that are mentioned in this video. Most of his journal is “Helped in the store today” type of stuff, but a fun look at pioneer life in Cache Valley.
Jared, It was interesting listening to this episode, several years ago I had a cassette tape about the building of the Logan
Temple and there was an incident similar to what you were just telling.... Satan came and told the president that he would prevent the work going forward and if members said they were going to work on the temple, something would happen to keep them away. The workers had to walk there saying nothing. Also a young girl was out front of her home when a man on a horse road up giving her a newspaper and told her to give it only to her father, which she did. It was a newspaper from England dated 5 days earlier which contained genealogy info for the Hale family and when that was being done the temple was as if it were on fire. Wish I still had that cassette.
If you'll check the early history of the Kansas City, Kansas temple, many wtnessed the cloven tongues of fire upon it shortly after its dedication. There used to be a history book in the lobby or waiting room.
Many members in the area have a copy of the book. It is probably in the foyer of the Liberty stake center just to the south of the KCMO temple. I know that there is one in the Kansas city stake center building in Lee's Summit, MO.
My youngest son's middle name is Marriner... After his 5th great grand father, Marriner Wood Merrill
My understanding from family records was that Pres. Merrill who is a Great grandfather, came out of the temple to speak to the group.

I believe each temple still has a recorder who oversees the recording of ordinances performed there.
They also keep track of these types of events. As with all sacred records, they will be made known according to God's wisdom.

Back in the 80s, I was employed as a security officer at Washington D.C. temple My wife and I also served as Service Missionaries at the Logan Temple. Our mission was to do security on the grounds on Sunday afternoons during the summer. I have seen the Nephite warriors and/or felt their presence. I have been in the temple at night and knew that the Savior was in the building. I was commanded by the spirit to stay away from certain areas of the temple while the savior was there. This is because it was not my time to see him.
The Great liar consistently whispers in the ears of the saints, causing confusion and apostasy and discontent. May the saints grow more intune with the Holy Spirit and appalled by the voice of chaos!💘🙏💘

The Temple Recorder runs the Temple... I am a ordinance worker at the Logan Temple, i have heard these accounts many times! When we enter into the Temple anyone can come in, you just need a recommend to get past the dest... I don't see why Satan couldn't come that far? ... Just a thought.
Make no mistake....some bring Satan INTO the temple with them. This is why Bishops and Stake Presidents MUST be so careful with recommends.
I “stumbled” upon this incredible visitation gem within a gold nugget in the JoD (I recommend reading the whole talk):

We’ll said! I’ve come to realize the difference in what Christ did for us and what he asks us to do to accept his vicarious atoning sacrifice. The scriptures teach the gospel of Christ; His condescension, suffering, death, resurrection and ascension back to heaven. As for our part required for demonstrating acceptance of Him and His grace we must obey what the scriptures designate the doctrine of Christ- also 5 parts: faith, repentance, baptism by water, reception of the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. Only thus can we demonstrate our acceptance of His gift. If u want to call it work, fine. But we cannot be saved without acceptance on out part. The gospel of Christ is not accessible without living the doctrine. It’s like a gift offered that is left without acceptance. That simple.
The typical evangelical response would be -> "Yeah...but you just have to confess with your mouth that Jesus is the savior and you are saved"...lol
Doctrine & Covenants 88: 32 "And they who remain shall also be quickened; nevertheless, they shall return again to their own place, to enjoy that which they are willing to receive, because they were not willing to enjoy that which they might have received.
33 "For what doth it profit a man if a gift is bestowed upon him, and he receive not the gift? Behold, he rejoices not in that which is given unto him, neither rejoices in him who is the giver of the gift."
FYI great great grandpa Roskelley named his son (my great grandfather) “ Mariner W” Roskelley. I’m guessing after Mariner W Merrill.
If Satan wasn’t able to go into the temples -
We wouldn’t have to have locks on our lockers.
People would not make videos of the things they Know are sacred.
We would not have to be reminded that “only the best of feelings” should be felt by those in the prayer circle.
- Satan is against the work done in the temples.
- if sooo many people - that go to the temple - are choosing to work for Satan - there is no need for him to go there himself.
- none of us are perfect - But - the choices we make matter - when we choose Jesus Christ - we also choose to be like Him.
- we can’t hang onto the natural man things we love - and be His.
- we may fool ourselves now - but the day will come when we will know who’s we are. - and that we chose him or Him. - Because -

How can Satan be allowed to enter the Holy House of the Lord? This is supposed to be a refuge also, and when they say that 'only the best of feelings should prevail', isn't that for the prayer circle?
I mentioned it was for the prayer circle.
I believe each of us is responsible for keeping the Covenants we make - if we break them we invite him into our life to one degree or another.
- if we go to the temple and contribute to the need for lockers to have locks or share things that are sacred , etc. - The Holy Ghost is definitely not comfortable being our companion.
And we open the door for Satan and his followers to accompany us.
The temple is a refuge.
It is sacred.
In The Pearl of Great Price chapter 1 - Moses talks to God face to face and the glory of God was upon Moses - after The Lord was finished speaking with him and many hours after he got strength back - Satan came and tempted him.
If I understood correctly - Moses didn’t do anything to invite him until he feared.
- Moses example shows us that Satan has power over Moses when he felt fear and yet Moses was able to see that Satan didn’t have Glory like The Lord and he didn’t even have what Moses had been given.
I do believe that those reports could be real.
I believe that we can bless our homes and they can be places of refuge protected by priesthood power - but - if even 1 person invites what they shouldn’t into that home - The Holy Spirit has a hard time being there.
I believe the temple must have extra protection of some sort - it wouldn’t be right for all to suffer the lack of the Holy Spirit just because of 1 person .
- if people are allowed to record sacred things and post them on the internet - they definitely don’t have the Holy Spirit with them - God isn’t striking them down or preventing them from going in - but they most definitely will be held accountable - in His time and way - if they don’t fully repent.
Why doesn’t He just make their temple recommend burst into flames?
Because He knows the truth and all will be revealed when He is ready.
Satan is always there ready to tempt.
If we invite him to walk into the temple with us do you really think he will refuse?
I think in my opinion that the warriors guarding the temple, would possibly be wearing their armor, to appear intimidating to anyone who was trying to enter the temple uninvited, or trying to get hold of the marriage records. Maybe? 😕🤔
The temple recorder is much more than an archivist. While the temple president is in charge of the ordinances and holds the keys for those ordinances, the temple recorder is in charge of the secular side of the temple. For example they manage the paid temple staff, like security, laundry, maintenance, etc; management of the building itself, and all other responsibilities regarding anything to do with finances or management. They are part of the temple presidency, working alongside the temple president. I believe they also help manage the recommend system. As a temple worker, we don’t have the authority to turn people away from the temple, but we can have them wait while the recorder does have the authority to either deny entry, or admission into the temple. Though I have heard a rumor that the temple president can let anyone into the temple regardless if they have a recommend or not. Most likely for first responders in a medical emergency, but of course they are responsible for the actions of such individuals.

I have definitely had things get in the way of attending the temple. Even the Logan temple, where my boys were sealed to us. I love Logan, but you can feel the opposition there. Probably around all temples, but I came to know it there.
I had this exact same thing specifically with the Logan temple. Years later I then learned of the stories behind the Logan temple.
I became an ordinance worker this past mid March at the Atlanta Temple. While I was accustomed to a certain amount of opposition at my work, I was stunned at how intense it became immediately after I was set apart. I had never mentioned anything about my early Saturday morning shift to any one at work. They would not really understand, so I didn't share. But a seemingly endless list of opposition and nonsense could be counted on every Friday night prior to my next shift. I'm convinced the adversary really does not want us to experience the power of the temple or of our service there.

I was attending an endowment session at the Logan Temple with my fiancé. As he walked past me to sit down I felt an absolute feeling of pure evil. I looked all around me to see if anyone else was feeling what I was. As we were leaving the waiting room he walked towards me and I was overwhelmed with the feeling again. It freaked me out so bad I didn’t attend the Temple for years as I didn’t understand what was happening.
A few days later my engagement ended and I came to learn why I experienced what I did at the Temple.

It would not make any sense to send anyone to physically protect the temple if they were not resurrected beings. Spirits could do nothing to stop a physical act. And immortal warriors are perfectly suited to fend off any attack. I think it would be very amussing to see someone try to overpower what are essentually supermen without any kryptonite weakness. It would be very amussing indead. 🤣🤣🤣 As for the example of Satan walking onto temple grounds, he could do it if he found a willing host to possess. His body would be mortal and he could do no more than any mortal could. It is also possible this person or possessed person could be lieing about their identity. That is a common theme with evil spirits. They seek to decieve.
Satan was a spirit and he almost killed Joseph Smith right before he received the first vision. Spirit beings have real tangible power. There was and continues a literal spiritual war, even before any of Heavenly Father's children had bodies/resurrected bodies.
