Yes last year I found the RUclips audiobook of it and sat outside smoking a cigar each day and listened to it over a couple weeks great story that tells the true dark side of the mafia and why the life is bad for young men
The reason John Gotti said that that he got the okay to Little Nicky is because Little Nicky was was very true to the Costa Nostra rules also he was close with the chin, and probably knew already the hit wasn't sanctioned. That's why when Sammy went to visit him down in the AC Little Nicky asked him if he was having trouble with John Gotti because he knew he would have had the authority to take him out if Sammy was having problems with him
Michael Franzese just rehashes the same few tales. Interesting initially, but there's no breadth or unguarded detail. Obviously, he didn't fully cooperate, so could still incriminate himself and others. With Sammy, he would have had to tell the Feds everything, or risk nullifying his agreement. That leaves Sammy free to talk about anything and everything he wants to. Sammy obviously only talks about what he wants to, but what a depth of mafia history he has at his fingertips. Astonishing, honest and absolutely riveting. A very, very astute businessman and intelligent guy. Onwards and upwards Mr Gravano.
Michael cant say too much because he doesnt want to catch a murder charge. Unlike sammy and phil leonetti he never flipped against the mob and never had to admit his crimes to the govt. Sammy and Phil had to tell EVERYTHING in order to get deals

After the meeting, Nicky says to Phil,’ he’s sharp (meaning John) I now know why our friend (Chin Gigante) doesn’t like him’

I feel guilty listening to this guy, the stories are great, but he talks like killing someone as casually as throwing out the trash. They use CosaNostra and the mafia as as an excuse for their psychotic behavior. I find it hard to believe that burning a religious card in your hand and getting straightened out turns you into a psychopath who has no qualms about killing people, cutting up their bodies and all the other crap they pulled with no conscience or long term regret. Once I was in Rome with my mum, Dad and siblings, at about 25 years old, I remember stopping off at a gelato shop to get some ices. To say it was a hot day is an undersatement! Walked in and in a room with a big glass window door thing that was open, there was a big table and Italian men, all between 20-30 I would say. They all stopped dead and stared at me as I walked in. Probably not used to tourists. Or maybe as my Dad has some latin blood, dark hair and eyes, they thought I was there to do a hit lol. I was the new soldier for the villa in the hills mob!

Yup, it's next on the list of families to read/learn about. I had no idea what the Philly mob was all about until I started reading and learning more about Jimmy Hoffa.
Stanfa came back around time Nicky Scarfo and Phil went to prison, he filled the vacuum as boss but was challenged by Joey, and then he went back to prison again and died in prison. Prolly should have stayed in Italy and be free there, he cause unnecessary fighting just by being back in Philly
I bet Nicky made a gun sign with his finger and thumb and said "if he ever comes back to Philly IT'S THIS" Leonetti says that was his thing. I always thought it was funny.

Hey Sammy you think Phil Leonetti can come out of hiding now that his Uncle “Little Nicky” died in prison back in 17?? You should try to get him to come for a sit down! That would be a must see!
I don't get this story Stanfa wasn't even in the picture here Stanfa was a New York mobster they sent to Philly after Scarfo went to jail and then Stanfa and Merlino had their issues. Stanfa and Scarfs weren't even in same paths/worlds at this point he's saying Nicky wanted Stanfa dead.
@@joea6774 I think he missed filling in how Stanfa came about. He originally was Bruno’s driver. He was in the car when Bruno was clipped.I think Scarfo thought Stanfa was in on it so maybe he wanted to take him out of the picture for good
@celotto...yes he was hit with a few shot gun pellets lol he 1000% was in on it knew it was coming. I'm thinking Genovese's Chin wanted him out to move the drugs which his guys were pissed they couldn't but Bruno had if I recall a few cousins or something in the Gambino's Jersey group selling it and giving him big kick ups of that while his guys starved.
John Stanfa was never going to be the boss in peace in Philadelphia. The Scarfo guys hated him because they felt he was involved and the killing of Bruno. When Nicky Scarfo went away, John Stanfa was the most senior guy out on the street, so the commission in New York told him to put that family back together and made him the boss. Joey Merlino and his guys are all the sons and nephews of guys from the Scarfo Mob. And they told Joey and his guys to fight him because he's a nobody down there, that John should not be the boss.
I seen a photo recently and it was reported that the 4 people in the picture were Sammy, John Gotti and Vic Amuso and Gaspipe, Sammy got any stories about Vic and Gas??

Love it. Would love it even more if a pic of the characters would be shown the first time they're mentioned.
Even if I think I know whom he speaks of, I still google them at times to put a face to the story
@@jurgen-fritz I do the same thing.
I sure wouldn't mind if you talked for days, I'll still listen.👂👂👂 Take care, good health, and long life to you, Mr Gravano! ❤❤💪❤
Another classic Sammy.Lil Nicky turned Philly upside down when he took over.Ruthless man.Great story.I have all my mate watching this channel & listening to the podcast now. They love it also 🙏🏻

Mafia Prince great audiobook. A must hear after Underboss of course. "Little Nicky" was always ready to use 👉
Your right......or it's this 👉 ( and made a sign with a gun) that audiobook is great
I've listened to it and was born an raised in Philly an lived through the wars
Definitely my favorite audiobook
No bullshit 👉 lol...Nicky was ah Real Gangster ..they need to make a Movie bout Nicky

Gang-gang right here 🤣👉🏻
Once I was in Rome with my mum, Dad and siblings, at about 25 years old, I remember stopping off at a gelato shop to get some ices.
I love how he's telling these stories , im looking daily if there is new content 💯💪
Just hit the bell for notifications of all new videos. 🤔
No john stephi went to jail before nicky and john got pinch

I was searching for something to watch during dinner and Sammy dropped this 1 minute ago.Life is good.
Yes! I asked for a Scarfo/Leonetti story back when you started the channel. Thank you! Sammy always delivers. 🇮🇹🇺🇸
Not only did he not get killed he became a boss and then had a war with the Young Turks head up by Joey Merlino.
Man I love how detail oriented sammy is, its better than any book could be or movie.
Yippie.Sammy uploaded another video. Gotta LOVE Sammy.
Yea Bro his presence is most definitely not only wanted but highly needed on this site, His story telling capabilities are enamoring to say the least.! 👌🏾💯💯💯
Keep them comin Sammy 👍 (South Philly)
Thanks Sammy for another great story. Hope u had a nice Easter with the grandchildren.❤from Connecticut❤
I feel like if Sammy was running the gambino family the mob wouldn’t have died like it did
It wouldn't of. John blazed middle fingers at the government along with talking upstairs in the old lady's apartment in the Ravenite. You just cant do that but I'm sure ya know all this.
Sammy should have been Boss after Big Paul instead of Gotti
Sammy should have been the boss instead of Gotti. He was much smarter.
What makes you think that he ain't 🤔👍
I like Sammy's stories but Sammy snitched on his on family, Gotti didn't say shit to the feds, are ya sure Sammy would've been a good boss??
I remember that day. I brokered the meeting. Would you believe it? - Gianni Russo
🙄
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is true Phil Leonetti described this exactly the same in his book Mafia Prince
Beat me to it
Would love to hear any stories you have about the Chin Gigante!
Whoa man, Dont say that name! Use the finger on the lower lip emoji.. U tryin to get us whacked or wat?
@@bhall4996 damn you right my bad, Sammy can we get 👆🏻👄 stories??!
What a look inside of that life that Sammy provides. Grab some lasagna, sausage, meatballs, an antipasto, some fresh Italian bread, and a little wine. Sit down and listen to a great storyteller, tell stories about an incredible life. What a life this man has led. And....what a GREAT DINNER!!!!!! Thanks Sammy. 🍝🧀🍞🍷...🇮🇹
I kept thinking Sammy was telling us a story right before a lobster dinner was about to start.
🤣...the Red Lobster like bib!!

Awesome! Keep the Philly stories coming...
All i had to do was see “Nicky Scarfo” in the title to drop everything I was doing!
Same. That Mfing sob killed anything that moved. If it didn't move he pushed it.😄😄
Same!
he was tight wit sammy ..nicky ran A.C
I’m actually hesitant to comment on his name that’s how scary he is. The scarier real life version of Joe Pesci.
@@Longenecker1776 you from here? And you don't got to worry about mentioning his name he's dead died in '17 they tried to hit his son was the better story they sprayed Little Nicky son in a restaurant on Halloween with mask dressed as trick or treaters wit sup machines guns and lit the place up ...thats wen Joey Merlino and John Stanfa start to go to thier own war
Thanks for sharing a story about Nicky Scarfo.I asked a few videos ago could u do a Nicky Scarfo story and so it happened,Thanks Sammy 💪
I ask as well.. but ask about the time Nicky ask Sammy to drive down AC & told UM 'I got your back' talkn bout j.gotti.. Nicky must have sensed he was no good

Wow Sammy love all your stories and your bunny rabbit for Easter Sunday on TikTok was hilarious and cheers too ya 🍻
I haven’t watched the video yet but I can already tell it’s gonna be good
Hell yeah, time for another cup of coffee and set down. Hope everyone is having a good day... Thanks for sharing Sammy.
Philly mob is hardcore. Im fascinated by these stories. 👍
Yup, it's next on the list of families to read/learn about. I had no idea what the Philly mob was all about until I started reading and learning more about Jimmy Hoffa.

Same here!!!
Thank you Mr G. Keep smiling and good health to you and family.
Happy Monday Sammy. My work day just got better. Straight 🔥 OG. GOD BLESS YOU SAMMY
Absolutely LOVE it when I get the notification that says Da Bull. ANOTHER great video
I bet Nicky made a gun sign with his finger and thumb and said "if he ever comes back to Philly IT'S THIS" Leonetti says that was his thing. I always thought it was funny.
I read that in a book
Been waiting for Sammy's side of the story for years, I've only heard Phil's! Thanks Sammy!
Sammy your fanbase it's just growing and growing look at the subscriber's it's amazing
Meangia Mr G, great story as usual, I’m in the philly area so these stories are especially interesting to me, I’d love some more philly stuff, thanks again cent anni’
It seems like the two smartest people, were Sammy & phil.. . . . in this meeting. Consider the outcome: Sam will agree too. Flip too! Sammy, keep it coming! Love it
Another GREAT one, Sammy!! I'm from Pittston Pa. Being you brought up Angelo Bruno, I was wondering if you had any Russell Buffalino stories, I know a little before your time, even stories about your dealings if any with his family. Because of the Irishman this I think is relevent... Shit, I've taken more people , showing them Mr Buffalinos old home in Kingston, since the movie came out!! No bullshit. I hope you have some of this GREAT man!! RIP McGee!! Thanks Sammy
Everyone of Bull’s stories are so intense. Amazing listen.

I remember growing up in Philly when this was going down. The stories about Nicky were crazy.
Love all the stories tied to Philly.
Great intro and great stories. Sammy could read the phone book and make it interesting.
This has became my favorite youtube channel by far ...thanks Sam
And what a vibrant storyteller we have on our hands here!
Nicky and Sammy, two most feared boss, two dangerous man!!! Mr gravano do you ve a story with mr sonny franzese and for you who is the most feared boss!! Thanks boss, I can wait for your podcast !!🇮🇹🇺🇸
I don't mind the ads. If the ads help you. I just "feel" Phil is a high quality man.
I would LOVE to see you 2 have a real sit-down. I'll pay.
Nicky was a dangerous little man
Your stories have become a big part of my morning wake n bake before i go to work.
Hell of a story Sammy!
Sammy we need longer stories 🙏🙏
Hey Sammy you think Phil Leonetti can come out of hiding now that his Uncle “Little Nicky” died in prison back in 17??
You should try to get him to come for a sit down! That would be a must see!
Good question!! There’s actually no need to hide now
I hope all is well Mr Gravano, much respect from England UK 🙏
When Stanfa took over,he and Merlino were going at it back and forth to try to take over Philly.
He was in the car when Bruno was clipped.I think Scarfo thought Stanfa was in on it so maybe he wanted to take him out of the picture for good
@@joea6774 he was Angelo Bruno’s driver the night he was killed
@celotto...yes he was hit with a few shot gun pellets lol he 1000% was in on it knew it was coming. I'm thinking Genovese's Chin wanted him out to move the drugs which his guys were pissed they couldn't but Bruno had if I recall a few cousins or something in the Gambino's Jersey group selling it and giving him big kick ups of that while his guys starved.
stanfa was on a wire tap saying in Sicilian,i understand that old dialect he was gona kill joey and cut out his tounge and mail it to merleno,s wife
Get Phlip to join you, in this pod. Cant wait to hear from Phil. Truly.
Sammy!!! Great to hear from you!! Godbless.hope you had a happy easter👏❤✌🇺🇸🛠😎
And they told Joey and his guys to fight him because he's a nobody down there, that John should not be the boss.
well said!
I seen a photo recently and it was reported that the 4 people in the picture were Sammy, John Gotti and Vic Amuso and Gaspipe, Sammy got any stories about Vic and Gas??

So happy for these videos. Would it be possible to get a video about Richard Kuklinski? Is he really as big of a monster as he portrayed himself to be? Sammy did a video on Roy Demeo, and richy was one of Roys men. Thanks! Keep up the great videos.
Kuklinski is a complete liar he said he killed Galante he said he whacked castalleno he claimed he was a mafia hit man when in all actuality cosa nostra doesn’t give contacts to outside parties
