Numerical integration with Excel using a trapezoid rule.
Here I describe how to compute the area under a force-distance curve to obtain the work done using the trapezoid rule with data in Excel.

is this rule applicable for distinguishing area between 2 curves (both lines with different shapes)?
calculate each of them the way is shown here and then run the difference between them
