Sweet Gentaro is so worried for his Dad. Gentaro stays close and the way he looks at Dad is so sweet with such concern and empathy. It is as if Gentaro is trying to think of a way to make Dad feel better and each time Dad moves he gets close to watch his behavior. Gentaro is learning that "protector" role and has such a sensitive and big heart. I always loved Gentaro's sweet eyes and face. His heart matches those beautiful and soft eyes. Gentaro certainly displays a complex range of emotions... one day frisky and even rough behavior and the next caring about his family's well being. You can't tell me animals don't feel for others.
So very sweet how Gentaro stayed close by. Momotaro laid there just like a man would when he felt awful, on his back, leg cross up on his knee, hand over his face. Yes, the are apes, but they have a lot of human qualities. I see compassion, worry and caring.
Sad to see. Momo has made me upset at time by his actions but I never wanted him to be ill. This not normal, the lethargy and weight loss.! The family's whole mood is affected; Kintaro doesn't want to leave Genki's side, while Gentaro watches over his sick father. I'm sure the zoo keepers are doing all they can; it would be a tragedy to them if anything were ever to happen to their beautiful Momotaro.
Momotaro came out last. That is not a good sign. His stomach is completely flat, indicating he is seriously ill. It saddens me to see this great silverback in such a weakened condition. I do hope the keepers and veterinarians are taking appropriate action to help Momotaro get well. Please keep us posted on his condition. It's wonderful watching Gentaro look after his ailing father. Such a good boy!
I haven’t time to watch whole video yet, only saw beginning with Momo coming out last and my heart sinks. Makes me uncomfortable. He’s always first and foremost looking out for his family and checking enclosure before them. I’m worried about beloved Momo and his family is too. I just hope it’s a passing bug he can shake off in a few days and nothing serious. We love you Mo!! So many hearts for him today and wishing for speedy recovery. They don't have the financial backing to provide for the animals, and yet they frown at the request of outsiders literally "begging" to help them with costs. Unfortunately, I can no longer sit idly by and watch the destruction of these beautiful animals. Time to set my sights on those I can make a difference in helping. Still my heart aches as I say a tearful goodbye.
Gentaro has a pure heart and a sensitive personality . He cares family members, he knows that father is sick, so will stay by his side for support him 💪🏻. After receiving other news, to knew that Momotaro had taken the medicine and showed signs of improvement. He also started eating a little food. Hope 🙏🏻 Momotaro will get well soon.
Gentaro was so unhappy when Momo was sick. He's a very empathetic boy, and loves his father very much. Seeing superhero dad feeling sick was really confusing to him.

My goodness our Momotaro feels horrible. You can tell by how he's climbing and almost out of breath. I wonder if he's been tested for Covid, and has had his heart checked lately. Heart disease is the #1 killer of male gorilla's. I've never seen him come out (especially last) and the first thing he does is go pee. I hope the keepers know whats going on, isolate him and get him on the road to recovery quickly. Watching him makes me sad.
@@ken-yor8235 Thanks for letting us know. So hard to watch him suffer, you could see the pain in his face and how he was moving. Also, poor Gentaro. He knew something was wrong, just sitting there watching his Daddy and not knowing what he could do to help. I've never seen that mischievous boy so calm since he was born. They are so smart, so intuitive, so like us. Here's hoping they can get the flora back in Momotaro's gut where it needs to be quickly so he can get back to his old self.
He has a wound under his neck. That wound was not healing well. The zookeepers gave him antibiotics. But that medicine gave him diarrea. That is why he did not eat and lost weight. The zookeepers stop the treeatment. Now he is feeling better....
@@mariogatica2363what caused the wound under his neck ? They must have misdiagnosed it if the gave him THE WRONG antibiotics. Maybe that grass they eat all day long is not so good for them. Causes gas and bacteria in the gut. They need a different diet.
Dr Gentaro would be the one right next to his father to check in his well-being Like he does with his mother. He maybe a wild rambunctious pre-teen at times but he does exhibit true love for his parents.

Finally had time to watch and it’s depressing seeing Momotaro like this. I hope the vets are monitoring his condition closely. His activity level’s really reduced, he’s not gathering food or eating just crashing with fatigue around the enclosure. I don’t like this one bit. He’s not himself at all. Gentaro guarding over him and worriedly checking on Papa is so sad Please feel better Momo. 🦍♥️

Tears are rolling down my cheeks as I watch this video. During the past 2 months alone he has had one than two open draining sores under his chin, his magnificent crest is thinning/crusted and now this. This Zoo better get its act together ASAP, take whatever is going on seriously and hopefully provide the necessary treatment.

I'm worried about Momotaro. Usually he is the 1st out, robust and running. On this day he was last, moving slowly. He looked back at the door as it was closing like he wanted to go back in. This video is 20 minutes long and not once did he try to eat. Momo is very food driven, no way Kitaro would have been allowed to eat all of those apples. I also noticed Momo has lost a great deal of weight in his abdomen and across his back, his gait is slow having to stop often after moving short distances, not so steady on his feet. Gorillas like cats/dogs and other animals always on alert can show no signs of illness long before we are aware. I'm also thinking about his father Bijou. I haven't seen a necropsy report for Bijou, but what I have read is that there was a large weight loss before he collapsed 4 days before Momo was born. All of this to say I am concerned. Kyoto City Zoo is listed as "small" Not sure what that means) but is also listed as a top notch facility. I'm sure they are on top of this and have tested any issues (respiratory, cardiac, gastric, etc.) The family is concerned as per Gentaro's staying by his dad and Kintaro clinging to Genki and her allowing this. Again sorry for this long comment.
I didn’t know Momo’s dad just collapsed and died! This is day two and he seems worse but other channels show him eating a little. But Kintaro looked like he struck the lottery with all those apples!

This being day 2 ,I am really concerned about dehydration now. If he is not eating,he is not drinking and you can tell by his chest it is grey and dry and not shiny black like usual. He needs liquids pronto you can go without food for a day or two but not water. Big concern

What was he sick from? ..I thought he had a headache...so sad
3年か4年前の冬にモモタロウさんがすごく痩せたことがあったような…。その時は寒くて風邪をひいたとかだったかな〜。今回はどうしたんでしょうね、心配です。海外ではコロナ感染した例もあるようです。

My goodness our Momotaro feels horrible. You can tell by how he's climbing and almost out of breath. I wonder if he's been tested for Covid, and has had his heart checked lately. Heart disease is the #1 killer of male gorilla's. I've never seen him come out (especially last) and the first thing he does is go pee. I hope the keepers know whats going on, isolate him and get him on the road to recovery quickly. Watching him makes me sad.
@@ken-yor8235 Thanks for letting us know. So hard to watch him suffer, you could see the pain in his face and how he was moving. Also, poor Gentaro. He knew something was wrong, just sitting there watching his Daddy and not knowing what he could do to help. I've never seen that mischievous boy so calm since he was born. They are so smart, so intuitive, so like us. Here's hoping they can get the flora back in Momotaro's gut where it needs to be quickly so he can get back to his old self.
His father died of heart disease..
He has a wound under his neck.
That wound was not healing well.
The zookeepers gave him antibiotics.
But that medicine gave him diarrea.
That is why he did not eat and lost weight.
The zookeepers stop the treeatment.
Now he is feeling better....

@@mariogatica2363what caused the wound under his neck ? They must have misdiagnosed it if the gave him THE WRONG antibiotics. Maybe that grass they eat all day long is not so good for them. Causes gas and bacteria in the gut. They need a different diet.

Dr Gentaro would be the one right next to his father to check in his well-being Like he does with his mother. He maybe a wild rambunctious pre-teen at times but he does exhibit true love for his parents.

It's so adorable and heartwarming to see baby kintaro following Genki and baby need his mom. Not sure about the weather but he looks cold. I hope momo will be ok soon! He look a bit skinny. Love all the family praying for their health and safety 💜🦍🦍🦍🦍

心配そうに悲しそうな顔で寄り添って見守っている感じでした。対照的にゲンキママは食欲旺盛で無関心な感じ。モモタロウただの夏バテだったら良いのですが早く元気になる事を祈るばかりです。

Finally had time to watch and it’s depressing seeing Momotaro like this. I hope the vets are monitoring his condition closely. His activity level’s really reduced, he’s not gathering food or eating just crashing with fatigue around the enclosure. I don’t like this one bit. He’s not himself at all. Gentaro guarding over him and worriedly checking on Papa is so sad Please feel better Momo. 🦍♥️

Tears are rolling down my cheeks as I watch this video. During the past 2 months alone he has had one than two open draining sores under his chin, his magnificent crest is thinning/crusted and now this. This Zoo better get its act together ASAP, take whatever is going on seriously and hopefully provide the necessary treatment.

I'm worried about Momotaro. Usually he is the 1st out, robust and running. On this day he was last, moving slowly. He looked back at the door as it was closing like he wanted to go back in. This video is 20 minutes long and not once did he try to eat. Momo is very food driven, no way Kitaro would have been allowed to eat all of those apples. I also noticed Momo has lost a great deal of weight in his abdomen and across his back, his gait is slow having to stop often after moving short distances, not so steady on his feet. Gorillas like cats/dogs and other animals always on alert can show no signs of illness long before we are aware. I'm also thinking about his father Bijou. I haven't seen a necropsy report for Bijou, but what I have read is that there was a large weight loss before he collapsed 4 days before Momo was born. All of this to say I am concerned. Kyoto City Zoo is listed as "small" Not sure what that means) but is also listed as a top notch facility. I'm sure they are on top of this and have tested any issues (respiratory, cardiac, gastric, etc.) The family is concerned as per Gentaro's staying by his dad and Kintaro clinging to Genki and her allowing this. Again sorry for this long comment.
I didn’t know Momo’s dad just collapsed and died! This is day two and he seems worse but other channels show him eating a little. But Kintaro looked like he struck the lottery with all those apples!

This being day 2 ,I am really concerned about dehydration now. If he is not eating,he is not drinking and you can tell by his chest it is grey and dry and not shiny black like usual. He needs liquids pronto you can go without food for a day or two but not water. Big concern

Momotaro is very sick. Could he have the Covid virus? I know the Zoo keepers are doing all they can for him. We all pray he recovers quickly and that Genki, Gentaro and baby Kintaro 💕 stay healthy. 🙏

I wondered if he has covid too. Gorillas got it here in the US and they were treated for it.
