I like the idea of Takeda being the “future trunks” of this game, a character who was sent from a ruined future to help the heroes prevent it.

Um… the data mined dialogue also has him against Kenshi and they do address each other as cousins. This feels like cope on your part.

The Kombat kids were confirmed to not be alive yet and time travel would have meant he wouldn't have known scorpion in the intro they released (see intro) so there's a good chance that he's hanzo☠️
How come takeda is the only kombat kid to exist in this timeline while the others don’t exist yet?
The gave Hanzo’s identity to Sub Zero 2 and made Dairou the new Havok. The old lore is there for them to pick through for scraps to use in Liu Kangs new universe.
Don't expect a Cable/Trunks twist for Takeda. He's just Kenshi's cousin, and honestly that's pretty cool. There's no way a time traveler would slip past someone like Geras or Liu Kang after interacting with him. Plus, his intros don't drop any hints about it either.

Your correct as they stated the Tower Endings are cannon to the lore. Hanzo is Takeda I'm unsure if they decided to make him Kenshis son in this timeline or not

Orrrrrr it would be cool if he was both Takeda time travelling AND Hanzo Hasashi, present day New Era. We know from his dialogue with Kuai Liang that he has a relationship with new era Kuai Liang. So at the least, the young version is native to new era. Hanzo or no.
I would rather wait and see his tower lore and see what takeda is then hear people saying he is kenshi son when the mk11 kids aren’t even alive in mk1 😂

Just cause his banter is a scorpion does not make him Hanzo, the scorpion on his banter could have something to do with him being apart of the shirai ryu, plus Hanzo is a kid, in this timeline Takeda Takahashi is a cousin of Kenshi Takahashi

If Liu Kang can take something created in the flesh pits (Mileena) and combine her with Kitana’s birth, then he can magically undo just about anything like making Takeda/Kenshi cousins.

I personally think that he’s the real Hanzo Hasashi, cuz in smoke’s ending you see that after him and scorpion founded the clan Lin Kuei they find the first initiate. I have 2 reasons for this, it would fit lorewise and the appearance is pretty much identical. What do you think about it?

This Takeda is not Hanzo Hasashi nor a Kombat kid, he is a distant cousin of Kenshi, though the lore you described would be cool, NRS has chosen a different path for Takeda

As someone asked. Its Hanzo since the Tower Endings in this game are considered cannon to the lore Smokes ending revealed that Hanzo is Takeda and it doesnt really reveal if he is still Kenshis son or not.
