So glad this park is bouncing back
I agree.
We visited in July and were very impressed.
Nice!
I was very impressed with this ride. I wasn't expecting this level of theming at this park. I met another coaster enthusiast at Excalibur, and we rode this and the scrambler together, since it was seeming that both preferred to not have single riders.
Some clarity on the single rider situation. All those signs/restrictions are new. From the staff I spoke with, it is interpetted as no single kids. Single adults are fine. I wish they'd make that more clear.
@@CanobieCoasterI saw the no single rider rule at Wildmouse that made feel like i was going to get denied as an adult but I think it’s just kids who are solo are not allowed to ride solo only adults can that no single rider rule really confused me
I’ll have to check it out, when in the area. The dark ride looks like fun 😃
It is.
I rode this yesterday! It's great! It's not that long a ride, but the production values are top-notch. The "Goosebumps"-ish level of mild horror is probably pitched just right for their target audience.
There seems to be a bit of confusion as to what it's *called*--the promotion mostly called it "Haunted Hotel", but even on the park maps it's "Whispering Pines Hotel," full in-universe kayfabe.
We went early and there was a bit of a wait, but later in the afternoon, it was a complete walk-on.
I think you're right that this would be a great ride even without the shooting system. One thing it does do is that trying to get a high score tends to distract you from noticing all of the effects and gags, but that adds to the re-rideability because you want to see more next time.
I noticed that with the name too, which may be why some people also miss it.
This park needs a good family/kids coaster next! Or something with inversions!
A zamperla gravity coaster would be a good fit here
I'd love anything with inversions.
What are the other major dark rides in New England? Just curious since I don’t really know.
Ghost Hunt, Mine of Lost Souls, Great Humbug Adventure
@@CanobieCoaster And Ghost Hunt and Humbug are both shooting rides.
It occurs to me that, more than any coaster, *this* is now what Six Flags New England is missing--closest they've got is a Mad House. All the little parks are beating them in the spooky-dark-ride category.
@@CanobieCoaster What do you think of Mine of Lost Souls?
This is what Toy Story Mania should’ve been!
I prefer Toy Story myself. Love the guns and scenes.
I visited the park when the ride was a month old and the line was insane. It stretched out the queue and out the building. I really wanted to ride but after the line not moving for 5 minutes I bailed. Hopefully I can come back and ride it!
That's a bummer you missed it. Glad their first new ride in a while drew crowds though.
