The 1971 - 72 Dodge and Plymouth had an interesting coke bottle shape to them like the 1968 - 1970 models but rounder contours to the roof. Both designs were good ones and looked great on the race track.

The "Tuff" steering wheel option would be nice.

I had a 72 Satellite as my daily driver back in the late 70s. Even with the vanilla stock 318 v8, it could hit 119 mph. I wish I still had it. :-)

Regarding the name of the GTX, I read an article once where the Plymouth executive who came up with the name said that the X meant nothing. The car was brought about to compete with the Pontiac GTO so he started out with GTA (a ford name) and went down the alphabet till he got to the letter X and that is who GTX came about.

Overall, looks good. Just a few minor detail issues that I can see.

The really huge one is the shiny black Air Grabber bubble... if something this big is this wrong... let's play a game... everytime the guy describing the car says something stupid, take a shot... that fifth will be gone by the end of the video...

Cassette deck! I would think the 71 wouldve had the 8 track or even the 4 track, i had a craig/pioneer 4+4 in 1975 it played 4 and 8 track tapes. Yeah lol😉👍

My Mom had a Satellite Sebring Plus which had everything this Car has except for the additional Horsepower.
Chrysler did have big problems with Rust On This Body Type and Chrysler says it's because of Lead they found in The Detroit River System.
This car hasn't seen the road that much.
Probably because what Car Collector Would Want To Drive it That Much!
After 1973 these cars were pretty much Junk unless Someone Had Them in a Garage.
People who Buy Them and Have Them Completely Redone Spend Anywhere From $55,000 to $70,000 or More to Redo Them.
Yet Some People Manage to Find Them in Someone's Garage.
    Which is Very Rare.
The Bird Cars Were Much More Of A Find Because They Actually Came With A Hemi In Them and Very Much "A Rare Find"
    I had a 1972 Satellite Sebring Plus With a 400 C.I.D. Engine With a 4 Barrel Carburetor

71 were down to 370 hp and Plymouth called a 3 2 barrels a 6 barrels not six pack...

    • @lookingthroughice7843
      @lookingthroughice7843 7 месяцев назад

It was known as the 6 pack. Your not a Mo Par guy. It's o/k stick with your chevy shit. Real car guy's know that if it's not Mo Par it's no car.

Plymouth called it a 6 barrel, Dodge only marketed it as a SixPack.

JC, love ur Vid’s !!! Thx ! But 1 thing i noticed : I wld Not actually Touch anyone’s Beaut’s with my hands / fingers , Unless we are actually Driving the Car ( with Permission, obviously ) . It just seems a bit invasive & rude. I wld not dare to paw another Man’s car unless i was allowed to.That’s proper. Otherwise better not . Just my opinion. 💁‍♀️

I appreciate you watching and 100 percent agree! If I’m at a car show I never touch them! By the time we get to filming an episode we have usually established a relationship and they understand what the filming involves… even still you can hear me in most episodes asking if it’s okay to sit inside. Lol
