I had success to compile firmware of 2 printers: Kingroon KP3S Pro and Kingroon KP5L with 300°C nozzle and 110°C bed, thanks to your tutorial.
I released on Github the firmwares for the community of this printers.

Great videos. They have been very helpful. I am relatively new to working with firmware but have managed to update my Ender 3 with a BTT SKR mini V2.0 with STM32F103 RCT6 chip. I want to upgrade my machine with the Sprite pro hot end. Which Firmware should I use as a template as I am pretty much stock printer. No bltouch or any other mods. Help please.

I have bought a Sprite Extruder Pro Kit 300℃ High Temperature Full Meta and built it on my home built printer...
it prints great but the temperature on the Nozzle does not fall completely to rest, fluctuates 2-3 degrees on either side of the set point..
I have not been able to find information about which type of Thermister is on the Sprite Extruder..
if I look in the Marlin example files, no. 1 is selected and I have read in several places that you must choose no. 61 to get up to 300ºC.
but it has to fit characteristic of the Thermister..

I'm trying to raise the max temp on my CR-10 S5. I changed the MAXTEMP to 305 and the Overshoot to 5, just like your video. I get an error of "Marlin\src\module\temperature.cpp:323:33: error: static assertion failed: HEATER_0_MAXTEMP (305) is too high for thermistor_1.h with HOTEND_OVERSHOOT=10." I am using a stock (glass) thermistor until my new HT-NTC100K thermistor comes in. Any suggestions on getting it to raise the max temp some, while waiting on the new thermistor?

Hi. Sorry for the delayed response this comment was held for review as possible spam. It sounds like it didnt take the overshoot value or they changed something in the config. You could try to bump the max temp to 310 and leave the overshoot at 10.

    Hi there.
This is going to be totally random request. But you seem to be the man.
So I have built a metal printer head printing head. ok so it will print .4 mm so great but not fantastic. it has all sorts of issues but it prints stainless steal the same as if it would have been pla. So the slicer should be ok but needs to run 1/4 as fast. Like I said it has some quirks but it runs.
    Here is my problem:
I have been given an ender 3 with a v4.2.2 board. And a ARM st processor. It had an auto levelling doda on that has been removed.
OK so with the fan and heaters bead and head, as well as the auto levelling doda I need to remove all of this from the firm ware.
So with my non-existent knowledge I have been in there hacking about but I don’t think I will get this figured out before i retire!! and that’s 10 years off!!
    So I am reaching out.
    how do I removed the
    bead heater
    head fan
    head heater and censor
But still get normal pla g code to run the drives xyz and feed.
What would be nice is if I have an output say heater output to say when to deposit metal.
Any help or suggestions where I could ask for help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. The short answer is i dont think it will be easy to do that. I think most of that will end up being settings in the firmware pre-compile. Im not sure you can disable them and the build be successful. It may need additional things to be disabled and lines in the sanity check being commented as well.

  • @Dominik-bd7fx

The easiest way to increase the temperature is to create a configuration file with g code, paste it on the sd card named config.gco, and select it when starting the printer, something like this
    ; Professional Firmware Configuration File
    ;=====================================================
    C10 ; Mark as a configuration file
    M117 Applying configuration
    ;-----------------------------------------------------
    C104 U1 T315 ; set absolute limit to 315 °C (300 + 15 overshoot)
    M500 ; save settings
    ;-----------------------------------------------------
    G4 S1 ; Wait a second
    M300 P200 ; Beep
    M117 Configuration Applied
    ;-----------------------------------------------------
