Up next will be another one, one that's been asked/requested for about a year and half, and that's all I gotta say. Also, next after that voice showcases are being worked on at the same time, also new Characters and Voice Actors after that plus more Comparing the Voices videos as well.
1. John Noble, for turning Scarecrow into one of the most memorable gaming villains in recent memory 2. Dino Andrade, for giving us the precursor to Noble's Scarecrow 3. Robert Englund, because that casting is just too goddamn perfect
Exactly my list! I live the arkham series and actors and it adds to the creativity and fun. And having freddie himself play scarecrow is the fear toxin on the cake
If I were completely gay or a woman instead of Bi, Nobles voice would be ‘ohhhh’. As I am his voice as Scarecrow is so badass, threatening but so intellectual sounding and mastermind like; honestly I would like to see what it’d be like line wise if he has Dino’s place in Asylum, that’s make it even better
It's gotta be Jeffery Combs for me, deserved way more screentime. He captures both the calculated, philosophical emptiness and also the frailness that define his character for me.
Couldn't agree more. Noble and Englund mastered the character, and who knows... maybe if we're lucky Robert will be cast to play him in The Batman whenever it begins filming. Also, those designs for Batman Unlimited: Monster Mayhem and Nightwing and Robin were totally badass.
Its scary how quickly Robert Englund became my favourite voice actor for The Scarecrow. Don't get me wrong, i reckon the other actors did an amazing job too. But I like his "Freddy krueger"-like take on the character. I hope they cast Englund as The Scarecrow for the DCEU. But that's just my opinion.
I'm sorry this might just be because this was my favourite tv show in early teenage years but whenever I hear Robert Englund all I can hear is Riddler from The Batman

I really liked Dino Andrade's voice. His voice captured the feel of a nerdy/anti-social crazy professor that dressed up like a scarecrow. Robert Englund was also really good
Noble did this perfectly. He has this soft menacing voice that fits an intellectual super villain perfectly. When he played galath in ib3 he did that perfectly as well
Robert Englund SO needs to be Scarecrow again. I had a fangasm knowing he was voicing him in I2 because I'm a long time Nightmare on Elm Street fan, and he did it PERFECTLY in I2. He really needs another project with Scarecrow.
mr. creeperguy701457 For what? Scarecrow has nothing to do with Freddy. I really don't get why you compare him with Freddie. They are like two different characters.
Well, I mean; Krueger likes delving into people's dreams and turning them into nightmares; something they fear. Similar to Scarecrow's obsession with fear. Englund, Noble, and Combs. Okay. I didn’t explain my reasoning as to my picks John Noble: His voice in Arkham Knight just screams “Cold revenge”, and makes sense, considering what he went through in Arkham Asylum. Jeffery Combs: The fact that they got the Reanimator as Scarecrow is a Galaxy Brained move on Bruce Timm and Paul Dini’s part Robert Englund: C’mon, NRS casted Freddy Krueger as Scarecrow, what’s not to love?
I thought Dino (I thought he was a female before I got into Batman really; that voice) and Noble were pretty great, especially the latter. Menacing British Scarecrow isn't actually scary, he seems too in-control, which is why Jeffery Combs, Cillian Murphy or Dino Andrade are the most frightening ones of the bunch.
1) Don Messick 2) Corey Burton 3) Robert Englund. I'm very pleased that Englund created a great, original creation for Jonathan Crane's voice, and not just a presentation of Freddy Kruger. Of course there was a hint of Elm Street in the voice, but it was just right.
Tribal Soldier There were rumors already that he's Crane's VA after youtubers posted voice clips of the Injustice 2 mobile game beta. Englund himself revealed it in twitter and in person at a convention to make it official
John Noble and Englund.. when I first heard Noble's speech in the trailer for Arkham Knight I had chills, it felt like I was in trouble before I even pre-ordered the game.. Englund is naturally terrifying. plus I grew up with Jeffrey Combs from the animated series
Am I the only one that likes Jeffrey Combs the best? He doesn't need any weird voice effects, all he has is the deep voice and it still sends shivers down my spine.
You like computer generated voices aye? Cillian Murphy has the least amount of actual voice of all of the people in this video, Englund has almost as much.... Noble was great though.
To the guy commenting that Englund only did it under a voice filter, you never saw the cinematic cutscenes in Injustice 2. He has lines there with his normal voice and it is creepy.
Even without computer Generated, Cillian Murphy creeps the crap out of me.... John Noble is perfect of the older him, Robert Unglund is great, but i don't know there is something that I like less about him
+Sebastien O. Oh you know. Totally not killing some folks by smashing them into electric sockets, shooting some tanks and failing miserably to hit those sensor 1-Shot spots. Oh and actually being a Detective by trying to figure out where the Arkham Knight took Oracle/Barbra (I only started recently :P)
Although Robert Englund did an amazing job with Scarecrow in Injustice 2, you gotta go with the Man who has fear in his voice as Scarecrow in Arkham Knight.
My Faves 1:05 Henry Polic 2nd (R.I.P) for introducing me to one of Batman’s coolest villains 2:08 Cillian Murphy for being the greatest live action scarecrow. 6:11 John Noble for making Scarecrow more serious and memorable in the Arkham Series 7:14 Robert Englund because that casting is so damn awesome Freddy Krueger as Scarecrow is just one of the best ideas ever in history?
Cillian Murphy, Dino Andrade, Seth Green(Always a win *ding*), John Noble (So goooood), Robert Englund (Seriously, the best. Why did it take this long to get him?)
Robert Englund, he sounds like Freddy, and was totally amazing as the Scarecrow. :D I also love John Noble and Dino Andrade's performance, and of course I will always adore Henry Polic's Scarecrow. :)
Tarkatan When it comes to Scooby-Doo then yeah. This is part of the reason I don't like how Frank Welker voices Scooby because he barely does the R's at all.
Without a doubt the best Scarecrow voice is now Robert Enguland, Freddy as Scarecrow is a match made in heaven, and it's Cilan Murpy's take done better. A close second is Jeffery Combs, followed by Dino Andrade and then Henry Policy II.

1.) John Noble for his amazing work. Not much else needs to be said. 2.) Robert Englund, because that casting is absolutely perfect. Freddy Kruger as Scarecrow? Hell yeah. 3.) Jeffrey Combs. I don’t think he got enough credit for his work. I know that scarecrow is a bit of a toss up because of his re-design; but I think his voice work is amazing for the character.
My personal ranking of the various Scarecrow actors: 13. Ted Knight 12. Andre Stokja 11. Don Messick 10. Michael Rosenbaum 9. Dee Bradley Baker 8. Brian T. Delaney 7. Corey Burton 6. Dino Andrade 5. Charlie Tahan 4. Cillian Murphy 3. John Noble 2. Henry Polic II 1. Jeffrey Combs
Jeffery Combs (best animated series voice actor) Robert Englund (Best Game voice actor) And Damn if Cillian Murphy didnt kill it as the best live action and deserved way more screen time maybe even a spin off like Joaquins Joker. All of this is only my opinion and these were the best for me. But John Noble is probably my runner up to replace Englunds game version.
Scarecrow is my favourite Batman villain. John Noble is amazing, the best Scarecrow. Dino Andrade, Geoffrey Combs, Robert Englund and Cillian Murphy are also good.
1. Dino Andrade 2. Cillian Murphy 3. Jeffery Combs I guess I like my Scarecrows to have a "younger" voice that doesn't need to be deep or gruff to be creepy, which I think Dino and Cillian do especially well.
The Scarecrow sounds perfect with a distorted voice. It makes him more menacing that way. By the way, Robert Englund definitely should play a live action version of the Scarecrow soon.
A very cool compilation! It's good of you to add Seth's contribution, even if it was for a comedy show. Personally, as for the best Scarecrow voice actor question, it's hard to say, as there are some great examples, but I kind of discard the earliest ones from the 70's cartoons, not because they are "Bad", but because as a kid's show of those times, you don't get the opportunity for those voice actors to really let loose and create their own scarecrow voice that pushes the boundaries to make a truly threatening voice (They should obviously still be included in this compilation as they do fine work for the intended direction they were given). I lean mostly towards Robert Englund, John Noble, Jeffrey Combs (Though I like him as IJ2 Braniac more) , and Brian T. Delaney, with maybe a slight leaning towards Jeffrey Combs. Honestly though, I respect all the work together, some fine work for the selections for this character over the years.
0:000:011:031:452:082:092:233:495:096:126:267:15 Freddy Krueger himself (one of the best horror villains of all time) also voices the scariest Batman villain of all time. Perfect casting if you ask me.
Honestly I had no idea Michael Rosenbaum and Nolan North voiced Scarecrow. By the way Jeff Bennett laughed as the Scarecrow in The new batman adventures
Up next will be another one, one that's been asked/requested for about a year and half, and that's all I gotta say.
Also, next after that voice showcases are being worked on at the same time, also new Characters and Voice Actors after that plus more Comparing the Voices videos as well.
TheGenerationWest will you be able to do a voice connection?
Nope, sticking with the big three now on.
TheGenerationWest Who's next?
do anime voice actors
Top 5 Scarecrow Voices:
1. Robert Englund
2. Jeffrey Combs
3. Dino Andrade
4. Cillian Murphy
5. John Noble
The guy who plays Freddy Krueger voices Scarecrow.....whoever made this decision deserves a round of applause!
MarioKartGamerDude same guy voiced riddler in the animated show
Robert Englund did a good job as Scarecrow
MarioKartGamerDude He was also Vulture
MarioKartGamerDude, that was the creators of Injustice 2, NetherRealm
Damn when I first heard his voice on Injustice 2 as Scarecrow I was like:
OMG ITS THE FREDDY KRUGER!!!!!@#$&+!?!£℅®% 😆
1. John Noble, for turning Scarecrow into one of the most memorable gaming villains in recent memory
2. Dino Andrade, for giving us the precursor to Noble's Scarecrow
As I am his voice as Scarecrow is so badass, threatening but so intellectual sounding and mastermind like; honestly I would like to see what it’d be like line wise if he has Dino’s place in Asylum, that’s make it even better

agree
@@gaminggoof1542 as a woman... He is driving me crazy, for real. I would love to hear this voice every day in my life
John Noble and Robert Englund
Matias Boeri This. Englund was more of creepy while Noble was more menacing, which both work well.
Imagine if both were combined? What a real nightmare that would be (and an amazing one to add).
Matias Boeri No Noble is still the best
Noble... Englund wasn't really his voice, way too much verb/delay and was it vocoder? Computers do a great Scarecrow.

But I like his "Freddy krueger"-like take on the character. I hope they cast Englund as The Scarecrow for the DCEU. But that's just my opinion.
Kontrol Zee I agree, it would be amazing to see an older Jonathan Crane, with more experience in fear toxin.
I'm sorry this might just be because this was my favourite tv show in early teenage years but whenever I hear Robert Englund all I can hear is Riddler from The Batman
Robert. Nothing is better than Freddy Crueger with PhD.
Agent Smith *Krueger.
Agent Smith I agree with that
He was a great Scarecrow
he was so good I want to hear him do Scarecrow's lines from Arkham Knight sooo bad...
Agent Smith so true
"Now I'm playing with power!"
Jeffrey Combs for a younger Scarecrow.
Robert Englund for a much older Scarecrow.
Cillian Murphy as the movie version is also awesome. :D
I'd say that John Noble would be a better older scarecrow.
@@joebob7998 Oh yeah. Maybe Robert Englund for an early middle-aged Scarecrow, then John Noble for the later years and beyond.
Love three of them! Cillian’s portrayal is the best live action Scarecrow. Unlike that dude in Titans.
Cillian Murphy has a chilled out, relaxed voice that adds to the creepiness... But you gotta give me Freddy Krueger for the win!
Murphy’s version was never my favorite. But as Crane and not Scarecrow (his normal identity I mean) he’s actually creepier without the mask and toxin
@Gaming Goof agreed. Murphy was definitely the best Crane, but the best Scarecrow is Englund or Noble
Yeahh
Love both of them and Jeffery, Dee Bradley Baker, Corey Burton, Dino Andrade, and Christopher S Field.
Zack rober war auch der Synchronsprecher von venom aber der ist leider gestorben 😔
Jeffrey Combs, hands down, gave every kid a nightmare from his amazing performance of Scarecrow.
I just wish the show used more of Scarecrow instead of putting him in just one episode, and in a small cameo.
Anyone else agree with me?
Hands down the best.
That calm voice coming from something so terrifying looking is just perfect
Well, at least he voiced the character in that great Lego game, Lego DC Super Villains.
However's idea was it to cast Englund as Scarecrow deserves a raise. A brilliant move.
Yeah, the meta thematic quality and his actual, very talented skill both work well for the role.
It's because he's the blend of the arkham versions, mad and psychotic like arkham asylum and then stoic like arkham city
JXZX1 I've been thinking about since scarecrow was announced
@@rook937 he wasn’t in Arkham city
@@Dachin55555 pretty sure they meant Arkham Knight
Can we just have Robert Englund voice Scarecrow forever now?
I'd ask for John Noble forever. Englund is incredible, but Noble gives me Legacy of Kain-esque vibes with his voice work.
Plus Its best we have England for Freddy Krueger
Nothing Would Make Me Happier
A Freddy Krueger fused Scarecrow. That’s a villain that even the Bat would have a very hard time fighting.
Out of the Arkham VAs, I prefer Dino Andrade. He just sounded a lot more slimy and creepy, which is what a “non-action guy” like Scarecrow needed. Noble sounded too generic for me.
Still though, Englund is officially my new favourite. He’s just _perfect._
Arkham Knight scarecrow was amazing
CJ JS would've been better if you know we actually got to have him as a full time villain. I loved the game but it was very unfocused
He's my favorite incarnation of Scarecrow.
CJ JS my fave costume and voice acting
CJ JS I would say the best out of all John noble all the way
I agree Robert England is a close second.
I really liked Dino Andrade's voice. His voice captured the feel of a nerdy/anti-social crazy professor that dressed up like a scarecrow. Robert Englund was also really good

Okay. I didn’t explain my reasoning as to my picks
John Noble: His voice in Arkham Knight just screams “Cold revenge”, and makes sense, considering what he went through in Arkham Asylum.
Jeffery Combs: The fact that they got the Reanimator as Scarecrow is a Galaxy Brained move on Bruce Timm and Paul Dini’s part
Robert Englund: C’mon, NRS casted Freddy Krueger as Scarecrow, what’s not to love?
Yes! Robert Englund. Out of all of those other voice actors Englund is definitely the Scarecrow voice. After all, he is Freddy Krueger.
I thought Dino (I thought he was a female before I got into Batman really; that voice) and Noble were pretty great, especially the latter. But after hearing Englund himself even before knowing it was Englund I thought he had the best voice; creepy yet at the same time it sounds nice listening to him weirdly enough
The Best:
4. Jeffrey Combs
3. Dino Andrade
2. Robert Englund
1. John Noble
Yeah but I think Charlie tahan had the best mask
Robert Englund and Jeffrey Combs are absolutely genius casting choices, obviously because Robert Englund is Freddy Krueger, but alot of people won't know that Jeffrey Combs has done alot of fantastic horror films of his own where he is always the best part.
Jefferey Combs, ironically enough, voiced Brainiac in Injustice 2.
And the question in JL unlimited.
Anonymous Prime I thought brainiac sounded familiar
I love him as Braniac, it feels like he's taking a bit of his role in Deep Space 9 from... eh what's his name, a member of that clone race the Dominion engineered (I am so terrible with names at times), but that character had an intellectual slant to his characterization which I think was brought to Braniac.

piratRazor1911 You have not watched A Nightmare on Elm and not played Arkham Asylum.
Like hell!
Menacing British Scarecrow isn't actually scary, he seems too in-control, which is why Jeffery Combs, Cillian Murphy or Dino Andrade are the most frightening ones of the bunch.
MrMortsnarg I say Robert Englund is insanely terrifying in his own right.
I loved him in the intro, but i got pretty tired of him quickly, how he's CONSTANTLY taunting. Like omg SHUT UP
I'm quickly getting tired of British Scarecrow, so anything unique is greatly welcomed.
Robert Englund, Dino Andrade, Jeffery Combs, and John Noble.
Also I really want to see a Comparing The Voices for Brainiac.
Funny how Corey Burton and Jeffrey Combs will be featured there, as well.
If there is no future plans for him announced anytime soon, then It could be done!
Dakota Nelson for me is Dino John Noble and Robert Englund
Dakota Nelson Murphy good job
but Robert kills it. the next time scarecrow is used in a movie robert should play him
Dakota Nelson agree
Noble has to be my top pick

I prefer Robert England. They got the guy who played Freddy Krueger to play Scarecrow
1.Noble and Englund
2. Combs and Andrade

what better man to cast as the master of fear than fear himself...Robert Englund as Scarecrow is beautiful
Jeffrey Combs and Robert England are tied for me.
Herbert West and Freddy Kruger, eh?
Both are horror icons.
Same.
John Noble. My god, this guy really gives this character the voice that I always imagined he would have.

Although Robert Englund did an amazing job with Scarecrow in Injustice 2, you gotta go with the Man who has fear in his voice as Scarecrow in Arkham Knight.
JOHN NOBLE
Robert Englund sounds great as the scarecrow
Robert was the best one I've heard! Whoever wanted him to do that voice is a genius! Prefect idea

6:11 John Noble for making Scarecrow more serious and memorable in the Arkham Series
7:14 Robert Englund because that casting is so damn awesome Freddy Krueger as Scarecrow is just one of the best ideas ever in history?
Robert should’ve voiced Scarecrow/Crane in DCUO. I like the guy who voices him in the game but I prefer Robert Englund to voice him in it.
I actually quite love Jeffery Combs version of scarecrow. His voice was so creepy and it had a little whisper to it and I loved that effect
Guy who voices him in Injustice was creepy and calm. He is amazing, and the design for scarecrow in that game is my favorite as well.
Robert Englund who played Freddy Krueger and Riddler. And Felix Faust.
I'd have to say this is the order of my personal top favorite scarecrow voices.
1. Arkham Knight.
2. Animated Series.
3. Injustice 2.

Robert Englund is da best voice for Scarecrow

I'm not sure, honestly.

Robert Englund ftw. Tho Dino comes in a close second with how insane he portrays him.
2:10 that is probably my favorite
In my opinion because of the nostalgia that the voice brings back for me in my book I declare Dino Andrade the greatest voice
My personal ranking of the various Scarecrow actors:
13. Ted Knight
12. Andre Stokja
11. Don Messick
10. Michael Rosenbaum
9. Dee Bradley Baker
8. Brian T. Delaney
7. Corey Burton
6. Dino Andrade
5. Charlie Tahan
4. Cillian Murphy
3. John Noble
2. Henry Polic II
1. Jeffrey Combs
John Noble, Robert Englund, Henry Polic, Jeffrey Combs and Dino Andrade.
Jeffrey Combs has been my favourite version. He just sounds so calculated and smart yet out of control. To me the most chilling iteration.
John Noble and Robert Englund definitely
I had no idea Robert Englund was scarecrow! That makes so much sense than anything else!!
Robert's definitely my favorite now, after Injustice 2
Jeffery Combs (best animated series voice actor)
Robert Englund (Best Game voice actor)
And Damn if Cillian Murphy didnt kill it as the best live action and deserved way more screen time maybe even a spin off like Joaquins Joker.
1. Dino Andrade
2. Cillian Murphy
3. Jeffery Combs
I guess I like my Scarecrows to have a "younger" voice that doesn't need to be deep or gruff to be creepy, which I think Dino and Cillian do especially well.
Robert Englund is my absolute favorite
John Noble, Robert Englund, and Cillian Murphy are my favorite Scarecrow voices.
The arkham knight scarecrow and the injustice scarecrow and the animated series scarecrow are my favourite
The 2 Arkham Scarecrows, The Injustice 2 Scarecrow and Cillian Murphy are my absolute favourites
1. John Noble
2. Robert Englund
0:00 0:01 1:03 1:45 2:08 2:09 2:23 3:49 5:09 6:12 6:26 7:15 Freddy Krueger himself (one of the best horror villains of all time) also voices the scariest Batman villain of all time. Perfect casting if you ask me.
John Noble is just going to be nigh impossible to beat in terms of any Batman voice performance, but Robert Englund did a fantastic job
Honestly I had no idea Michael Rosenbaum and Nolan North voiced Scarecrow. By the way Jeff Bennett laughed as the Scarecrow in The new batman adventures
We can add Elijah Wood to the list now after Arkham Shadow.
Dino Andrade is my favorite though.
Jeffery Combs gives me goosebumps. Cillian Murphy gave me nightmares as a kid. John Noble is just awesome. Robert Englund is fear itself
*Himself
Jeffery Combs or Robert Englund. They are what scarecrow should always sound like terrifying but not physically intimidating.
Don Messick also plays Scooby Doo
Yup! And Michael Rosenbaum also plays Lex Luthor and the Flash!
I love Dino as Scarecrow. Such a shame he never did it again.
2:09 I wish I had that voice
